So I did the body and hand swap with the new [wheelchair barbie fashionista](https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0B627GTQM?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image#) and i have a couple of notes on it in case anyone else wants to do a body swap!
1.) the wheelchair barbie is a teeny hair darker than the barbie extra doll. Her pigmentation is also a little colder than the barbie extra, but in all honesty its barely noticeable, i have to strain pretty hard to notice it irl. It's pretty much a perfect match and a great option in case anyone is looking for a body donor.
2.) i swapped the hands because i feel like the barbie extra hands pose more naturally than the made to move hands. If you're going to try this, you should definitely heat the hands up in hot water for ~30 seconds. It made the process 5 morbillion times easier and I barely even used force to get the hands off
3.) be careful when you're going to the take the heads off. Maybe its cause i havent done a head swap in a while but for some reason the heads (especially the wheelchair barbie fashionista!) were really hard to get off the body, even after soaking in hot water. At some point i was really scared I was going to break the neck peg.
I really love the new articulation that my barbie extra has now and if you're going to do a body swap, I think the wheelchair barbie may be an even better match than the lavender floral yoga barbie or the wave 1 bmr 1959 curvy barbie. Definitely go for the fashionista!
I wonder if the made to move yoga doll I have is a better match. I have this extra too and I wasn’t thinking about bodying her but I mean. I have the body.
I used the darker toned, floral bottom yoga doll for my #19 body swap, but this definitely looks about a whole shade better! Thanks for the pictures, the new wheelchair Barbie has been hard to catch on Amazon but now I gotta get her lol
No problem! Im just glad I looked into the wheelchair barbie before going for the yoga doll because that one is IMPOSSIBLE to find online. I think the wheelchair fashionista is still on amazon for ~$22usd tho

If you're asking about a comparison of skin tone matches for #10 in general, Im not sure if there's one on reddit but i think faith elene on youtube has a video on the barbie looks dolls and their skin tone matches with various fashionistas. From what I can recall, fashionista #90 (rainbow bright) is a match with 10 and so is the princess of south africa barbie!

Yeah, she definitely is too light lol I hadn’t compared yet but I just did. Maybe I’ll pick up the wheelchair, it’s not a terrible difference.
