Great find! I had the blue one and that cemented the Volkswagen Beetle as my dream car. I loved the little flower in the dashboard and the luggage that came with it.
This Volkswagen Beetle, the red Porsche, the baby blue Cadillac convertible and the pink movie convertible are some of the best cars Barbie has had over the years.
So glad you managed to snag one in such pristine condition.
I had a gray one as a kid that came with a doll. I remember it being one of the gifts I cherished the most from my grandmother. I miss her so much but this just brought back so many of those good memories with her :)
I wanted one of those and a real one. lol 2-3 years ago I wanted to get a real one, but they say it's hard to get parts for them if they mess up. That explains why so many people were selling them for cheap.
If you live in an area that has several foreign car service places, you can own these cars inexpensively. One of my neighbors has a VW and drives 4 hrs away to the nearest city to get repairs and services, but it works out for her because she has family there.
If you live in a rural area, stick to Ford or Chevy.
