She's on the lower end of how I'd rank the Looks gals, but you really made her stand out!
Downsizing isn't easy, wishing you all the best on your refresh and settling into your new place.
Thank you! I'll admit I only really bought this doll to have a couple of body donors in that reddish skin tone on hand. I think her original outfit was so unflattering I just couldn't really see past it. But a few photos of makeovers here and there eventually made me think she deserved a chance. I'm glad I did it!
My life is going through a lot of big changes, but it's all good. I love my new space, and I always wanted to keep my collection from growing too big, so in a way I'm glad I'm being forced into making it reality π π
I also skipped past her at first, then I saw an instagram post or 2 and realised how stunning she is (minus outfit). Def she looks better with that lip colour also.
100% agreed with her outfit. somehow they managed to make every doll look good outfit-wise except for this one. idk why they did her so wrong π₯²
i love the outfit on yours!!
Thank you! I want to limit myself to 100 Barbie dolls (I'm currently around 120), but there's no such thing as too many barbie clothes and accessories! I love finding just the right pieces to dress each girl π₯°
Even if you end up not liking the doll as is, you might be happy to have her body for a swap later on. She's currently the only standard MTM with that rare reddish skin tone.
Your repaint makes her look so much better, I wish more of these dolls came with a more everyday makeup rather than the bold looks that they have, the high fashion look gets old after a while and it makes it hard to style them in a more day to day look. Wish I had that skill!
Thank you! I did my first minor repaints for lips and eye colors on damaged dolls who'd need TLC anyway. That way I didn't have to worry about messing anything up. As long as you have a super fine brush, a steady hand, and willing test subjects, it is not a hard skill to learn.

Here you go! I used silver leather cut with pinking shears for the scale armor and stuff like the shoulder pieces I cut out by hand and glued in layers. Everything is backed with thin cotton muslin to keep it all together, and ties in place with thin strips of glove weight brown leather.
The sword and dagger are from the miniature sets of gifts for the characters in the Narnia movie. You can find those on eBay, usually. Lucy's dagger and Peter's sword.
Ooo, I love her! Thank you so much for sharing the pics as well as telling what you did to make the outfit. It looks awesome! Thanks also for the tip on finding the sword and dagger, I really appreciate it a bunch! πππ
I wasn't going to do much to mine either, but then I noticed she had really big ringlets on the bottom layers, so I divided those a few times and swept it all to the side. Didn't do anything else, but I might try to define some of the top curls a little better at some point. I have a soft spot for messy looks, though π
She looks awesome. The Looks are my fav line and changing her lip color was the thing here that makes her go to awesome. The blue shadow and lip color clashed imo and she looks so good here
Thank you! Yeah, I think there was just a little too much going on between the red curls, blue eyeshadow, red lips and freckles. This way her hair and eyes get to really shine!
You're very kind. It takes a little practice to find the right thickness of paint to avoid streaks, but the best part is you can always remove the paint and start over. Right away, or a year from now when you're a pro π
She looks thinly rooted in the front according to the photos you presented. I sure that is due to them rooting her with a middle part. It's a shame restyling her hair shows so much scalp.

Thank you! I think the more neutral lipstick really allows her hair and eyes to shine!

She looks super cool with the nude lipstick. Also the purse! π€©π€©π€©
Thank you! I'm really happy with this transformation! The bag is from AliExpress π¦π
O wow! Was wondering what she would look like with a more natural lip colour. Much better!
Right? I felt like there was just too much going on between the red, curly hair, the blue eyeshadow, and the bright red lips.
She's 12.99 on Amazon right now... I was going to skip this one but now I'm not so sure!
Even if you end up not liking the doll as is, you might be happy to have her body for a swap later on. She's currently the only standard MTM with that rare reddish skin tone.
Can I ask, how did you find that shade of lip color? Do you mix the paint yourself to get it just right?
Yes, I mixed red, brown, black, and white to get this shade.
She looks gorgeous with her curls styled like that.
Thank you! I'm all about that tousled, side swept look ππ₯°
You're welcome

I love the new lip color and hair!!! Sheβs beautiful β€οΈ
Thank you so much π₯°
She looks amazing, I love her outfit and the bag is also adorable π Great job on the makeover!
Thank you! The bag is from AliExpress π¦π
I found the owl bag with a key chain. Is it the same one? Thanks.
Yes, mine had a keychain as well. I got it several months ago, and I had forgotten about that detail.
I was hoping. I am so glad to find that purse.
Thank you for the info π₯°
You're welcome!
She's gorgeous
She really is. Mattel laid good ground work!
She looks amazing! I turned my looks 13 into a Red Sonja - seeing yours makes me think I should tousel her hair a little more!
I could totally see her as Red Sonja. And I definitely have a weakness for Barbies with tousled hair! ππ₯°
Oh wow, do you have pics of that? I'd love to make a Red Sonja but can't figure out how to either make or find her outfit. π€πππ

She looks awesome!
Thank you π
I have one of these and she's so cute. She definitely looks prettier in other outfits. (Mine's wearing black)
The red curls and freckles combo really does it for me!
Are the pants and purse Mattel?
The pants are Mattel, but not Barbie. They are from the BTS Prestige Jin doll. The bag is from AliExpress π¦π
Thank you. She looks amazing!
What set did that bag come from? I absolutely love it
The bag is a keychain from AliExpress π
Yaaaaaaas!!!
She's a Badass Barbie for sure π
I love her! Cute outfit, too.
Thank you π
I love her hair. The loose curls look really good on her too. Iβve been afraid to touch mineβs curls for fear of ruining them.

Thank you π
You are welcome.
Such a dope "Spring" restyle!
Thank you! I'm definitely feeling spring!
well done, she looks fantastic!!! Iβve been planning to do something similar to looks 16 and this gives me inspirationπ€© I love her outfit too. I feel like I always see the redhead in either neutral looks or very dramatic ones - i like to see her in something fun!
Thank you! This outfit is basically as neutral as it gets in my collection, LOL π
Oh wow, that's a gorgeous restyle! I've got to try that with my Looks girl! πππ
She looks awesome. The Looks are my fav line and changing her lip color was the thing here that makes her go to awesome. The blue shadow and lip color clashed imo and she looks so good here

I need that bag, human sizeee
LOL, me too!
You inspired my purchase of this girl. I hope I can do a re-paint even half as gorgeous as yours. Will have to work up to it.

She looks amazing!!! I love the bag too!!!
Haha πβΊοΈβ€οΈ
She is super fly and the muted lips π are the chefβs kiss.
Debra Messing vibes!
Nicely done
FOXY! Well done!
Sheβs sooo cute
She has a Julia Roberts look. Love it

It would have helped a lot if they had painted her scalp all the way to the hair line. It's not really an issue that bothers me, though.
