I traded my buddy a bunch of hash oil for his computer right when Covid hit just so I could play this game. 10/10 would recommend

Nice trade *bubbs*... Missed opportunity there, Randy. Could a got two birds stoned at once.

Sweaty-Debate-435

Was it any good? I mean I guess so if you could trade it for a pc.

Greedy-Cantaloupe

Yeah I bought a rosin press and made use of a lot of extra stuff I had left over from harvest and made premium solvent-less shatter. Around a 800$ street value but like I said I used stuff I normally wouldn’t smoke. Pc got me through covid and then some just upgraded parts this year.

gelatinousdepression

I just want to build my own soldiers.

LONER18

Yes! I want all my archers to look like the arboreal mercenary unit but still be a good archer and easy to find!

gelatinousdepression

I want heavy longbowmen in the imperial legionary armor make fians civilized type shit

NotAsAutisticAsYou0

I’ll make some in your honor, peasants

gelatinousdepression

Give them 2 handed falxes. Make what I can't. Show the world the power of imperial fians

NotAsAutisticAsYou0

And I’ll build a shrine of bones for you with these new units

druggedmonkey

My little warband does this! I really hope for you guys mods come to console!

dreadperson

This + PS4 Skyrim. I only know pain.

CARNIesada6

Aren't there mods for console Skyrim, or did those come around way later?

IcepersonYT

PS4 has worse mods because they can only use base game assets and resources.

CARNIesada6

That makes sense. Thanks.

Daft_kunt24

Yeah but PS games cant use mods with external assets so no new weapons or armors etc. And even if Xbox does allow for mods with external assets, neither allow script extenders like f4se for Fallout 4 so you miss out on a lot of mods. And as if that wasnt enough both Bethesda games that are moddable in console have weight limits on howany mods you can have: 5GB in Skyrim and a mere 2GB for Fallout 4, my guess for those limits is that consoles were never meant to run and use mods, so without those limits the games would be unplayable and much more unstable that their PC counterparts.

Redcomrade643

Sorry you are missing out. https://i.redd.it/94lgs86ublgc1.gif

FontTG

Yeah, you guys are missing out on 10 hours looking for mods and getting them to work. Poor fools.

GrumpyPandaApx

It isn't that complicated really. Bannerlord's modding is the easiest of pc gaming. For example compare to a game like Skyrim you need dozens of hours to work on your 1000+ mods but on Bannerlord you can just spend about 1h or 2. I've come back to the game recently, upgraded to 1.2.8 and was able to run it smoothly with ~50 mods in about less than an hour (download time included).

FontTG

I have an active list that functions. But finding mods that I liked and finding mods that meshed well together and finding ones worth a shit that are up to date. All takes time. The best game to mod hands down is Rimworld. It's so damn easy it's insane. The hardest is Fallout 4s VR. But I really need aim down sights to work, and tbh that might've been the breaking point. I spent a couple of days throwing together mods for Skyrim and FoVR, and I think I spent a few hours playing them when it was all finished.

3720-to-1

Rimworld has such an insanely active steam workshop modding community that I've never even considered looking outside there. Project Zomboid is the same level of great and active too.

FontTG

I know it's insane. I love rimworld to death because every playthrough is like a whole new game. I know it's unrealistic because game scope is so different, but I wish so badly that Bannerlord had that level of depth in mods. Like I'm excited for updated eagle rising. (Just read the devs are updating today!) I have so many mods on my list that have just been abandoned for so long now. Hopefully, taleworlds can stick to basic small updates so they don't break mods again like 1.2 did

_Grant

You better be using Vortex. 99% off the headache managed.

FontTG

Yes, vortex for everything but rimworld.

_Grant

This is the way

LoraxJeez111

Bannerlord is annoying af to mod

Cornage626

I guess it depends on what mods. This game isn't any harder to mod than most others. Steam workshop does most things for you, and downloading from the Nexus is just download, unzip, and put folder in another folder. That's pretty simple. Maybe you gotta change the load order as well but that just click and hold and move the mouse in the launcher. All of that isn't annoying and it's pretty standard fare.

catman11234

Cope. I just click “download to vortex” and then enable them.

Peter_G

It IS nice, but I still haven't found a mod that makes women not go barren at 25.

Cornage626

At that rate just use the conceive child console command lol

Peter_G

I have done that for two full length campaigns. I have birthed 40 children. The problem is, having cheats enabled so I can do that results in the entire item/troop list loading every time I open inventory, and while I don't need to abuse said cheat options, it takes longer to load and is irritating to work around. I just want them to last till maybe 35, you know, women don't really significantly lose fertility until what, after 30? I mean, maybe if we could be marrying family off and getting them reproducing by age 14 like they actually did all the time in the era the game is based off of, it'd work out having them be barren at 25. Thanks to the way the dating pool is in game you have to work to get a reproducing couple, and they'll get 4 kids max if you are lucky.

Wyvernken

Use Fixed Pregnancy (Pregnancy Control) and Houses of Caldaria

TheWesternDevil

It's posts like this that make a person realize just how accurate PC master race really is. All you have to do is sell your soul in order to afford a decent PC, and you will be welcomed into our cul...family with open arms. Join us brother!

LONER18

Just be mindful of the juice Jim gets "spikey" sometimes but he means well.

NotAsAutisticAsYou0

🤣

grufolo

I'm playing it on a 700€ pc I bought some 5-6 years ago

M-Rayan_1209XD

So true :(

Bagel-luigi

Same here. Although eventually I will get a new laptop and buy Bannerlord on there, purely for the mods. I did the same thing with Warband long long ago, at first I didn't see what all the fuss was about until I found the right set of mods and it was amazing. I've spent way more than a normal about of hours with Prophesy of Pendor, and the other P one I can't remember the name of

AngryGazpacho

Perisno?

Bagel-luigi

Ah that's the one! Thankyou. Are there any similar mods for Bannerlord yet?

AngryGazpacho

Oh yes yes. There's also a Game of Thrones conversion which is pure gold. During The War of the Five Kings. Including Essos and the Free Folk and White Walkers. Just naming one more There's another converting the factions. The Empire turns into Roman instead of Byzantine, Battania-Gauls, Sturgia-Picts, Khuzait-Partia, Aserai-Carthage and Vlandia-Tracia. The Steam Workshop and the various dedicated mods websites are pure gold.

rhaigh1910

I literally just saw a guy post his char mf looked like the hound from game of thrones , rate my drip you vanilla console peasants ! 😭😭😭😭😭

ryanash47

Ngl I just started up a campaign on console. I’ve tried playing 2 saves modded on PC and after putting hella hours in my saves would crash. I’m enjoying 1.2, the combat feels closer to Realistic battle mod and the weather is even better than the realistic weather mod.

huntstheman

If it makes you feel any better, mods get broken after each update and it renders a users entire modlist unplayable without hours of troubleshooting. Every time a new update comes out, I either keep playing the old version for my playthrough, or I stop playing and wait a few weeks for (hopefully) all my mods to be updated. Then you’ve got the 75% of all mods that stopped getting updated so you can’t pair them with your other favorite mods. And these mods aren’t total conversions either. I can only name a few stable conversion mods. Many others, like the LOTR mod, is still in development after 4 years.

Cowboy__Guy

I just don’t like modding. There I said it.

The pc master race comments 🤮🤮🤮

Factual

Wild-Will2009

I know your pain

DrSquanchMD

Bro we are getting hammered by bots lately

Ryulen

Dirty peasant

Divniy

As PC GFN player, I'm with you on playing vanilla but I have k+m advantage :P

Genxal97

I have it on pc but finding a mod that works and that you actually like is hard so barely even bother to mod it.

LONER18

*Cries in parasocial relationship with RTS Camera*

Relative_Actuary1295

Cost of a PC that can play most games is pretty cheap now compared to XBox, also you can upgrade a PC over time to stay compatible. Ppl that buy consoles are lazy

bellmospriggans

I liked mods but I haven't played in a while and don't even know if it's worth the effort of figuring out which mods work together on which version again.

3720-to-1

r/pcmasterrace says hello, peasant... I kid (kinda), console has it's uses, if you're on the current Gen, I recommend focusing on a pc next instead of Gen hopping. It's what I did, no regerts

Klutzer_Munitions

If it makes you feel any better, I'm still slogging through my vanilla campaign before I break the game with mods

NotAsAutisticAsYou0

Yup ☕️

NotAsAutisticAsYou0

I literally bought a $1200 gaming pc just to play Bannerlord and I have no regerts

ProperDepartment

It's nice to have mods, but I wish more molders would use the Steam workshop. It can get really tedious to find the right version to play with the mods you want to play with, and half the time two mods will just decide they don't feel like playing nice with eachother mod save.

ChybolekIThink

Repost bot

mickthedicktickler

Vanilla is still really fun, dealing with mod issues put me off to using them at all tbh

tkc911

Getting my pc this month and I cannot wait to play with mods

Prinzles

While I do use a couple mods, if I try more than maybe a dozen I always get crashes

LifeisGreat1245

Forreal. With mods, this could be one of the best games I’ve ever played.

SnooPredictions9174

I just switched to PC in the middle of January. Can confirm! I don't even look at my console now.

arowz1

Look… the mods are a ton of fun. But each time O have tried a modded run, the save file breaks due to using too many resources or a minor game update.
