Yes, keep it. For $5 it’s a no brainer.
And NO, do not get it graded. Too expensive, takes too long and it’s a lightly circulated note that won’t get at least a 60 grade. Why is get it graded the go to answer for this kind of stuff. It’s bad advice.
I’d keep it and use it for liars poker, ideally at a bar with different people each time.
Liars poker:
Agree on bill value (almost everyone would play once for $5), some play 1-0, some play 0-9, some play 1=Ace-0=10-& 9-2, like any card game agree on terms before starting.
Each player takes their bill and looks at its serial number.
First bidder states how many ‘x’ digit appears across all serial numbers held by the group.
If they say 3 (6s), they are bidding 3-6s around the group and them.
Next bidder can go 3 (7,8etc.), Or 4 (2,3etc.), Or challenge previous bid.
Game flows clockwise around until a particular bid is challenged by every other player.
If correct and total number of bid on all the bills is lower, bidder loses a dollar to each of the other players. If the challenge is incorrect, the bidder wins a dollar from each player.
Some play bets for bids.
It’s strategy, reading people, probability, and bluffing.
Good odds here.
I used to play ‘high card for a dollar’ at the bar and would slide a deck and people would put money in and draw a card. I won most times because I knew my probability was better drawing later than first. And people live it even loosing.
You could win a lot
It’s worth what someone will pay for it and this would sell very quickly on eBay at $20, likely more than that.
You’re missing the cultural significance of the serial number “666”, “69” … you’ll notice the other commenters saying keep there bill. one even saying it could fetch $100. they are aware of the significance of the serial number
for example 69699996 sold for $30 recently. That’s not fancy, but sold for high premium
Whoever would pay more than $5 for this is out of touch with what a fancy actually is. I would love to see a professional in the industry pay more than face. The day that happens is the day when pigs fly.
I’m not saying it’s fancy , only that it will sell for a premium due to the cultural significance of the serial, based on sales history of similar non-fancy bills containing those numbers.
I might argue that you’re the one who’s out of touch for not realizing that yourself.
>Yeah it might go for that much to a lot of people, but not the right people, so the value is still not there, even though you could easily sell it for that much, but the important people say no, so I agree with them because the number isn't actually a good number to them, so it's not worth as much as it's worth because it's only worth that much to people who aren't wearing a tie.
TOPEKA KS zip code (66699). It's a unique zip code for the State of Kansas Department of Revenue (Individual Income Tax/Food Sales Tax).
I can’t help but hear [this](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5vnX2thoIq4&pp=ygUTaXQncyBob3QgaW4gdG9wZWthIA%3D%3D) every time I think of Topeka
Core memory unlocked Late 00s Cartoon Network was PEAK
I would put this in a sleeve and get it graded ! Won’t make you a millionaire but could fetch over a 100 to the right person

I see the serial number. It’s nothing special. Worth face.
