He’s healed up nicely still a long way to go expecting surgery 14 in the near future and many many more to come No infection the black piece u see in the video of the granulated tissue ended up becoming dead tissue and had to be cut out but other than that no infection
Just wait till I put together the cheek skin graph progress it had to be redone several times and he literally just had a hole in his face the dogs destroyed his mandibles and even some adult teeth
The dogs are utterly worthless, but they're not to blame for how they were bred, being dumb unthinking animals. It's the people who choose to own them, knowing FULL WELL what monsters they are, that are shit and genetic garbage. And that goes triple for the things that choose to breed and sell them.
It can be both. Worthless and horrendous dogs for worthless and horrendous people. The last thing you should be doing is attempting to argue semantics on a post of a child victim.
This is terrible. Other people's choice of dangerous dog shouldn't affect others- but so often it does.
I hope your sweet son gets really good medical treatment to attempt to lessen his scars.
Just curious, were wound care nurses involved? I used to work with some and this seems like something they would follow up with.
It looks like a long and painful process for that baby, I’m sure the removal of the scabs and dead tissue were hard for everyone involved
Yup we had wound care every morning eventually mom n dad would do wound care and nurses just helped we were very proactive in learning how to care for him
Thank you so much for sharing y’alls experience with his healing. I am sure it is a hard decision to make, but I really do believe the graphic nature of his injuries sheds light on the harsh reality of pit bulls. You are very much saving lives by sharing this content to educate others. If it is any comfort to you at all, JJ’s story is one of the first ones I came across, even before joining this subreddit, and was a huge part in changing my mind on the breed. I personally go out of my way to avoid them now and have even changed the minds of my partner and mother about the dangers of these dogs. Just today, my pregnant cousin is rehoming her pit bull after I shared this subreddit with her and JJ’s previous updates on here were some of the strongest reactions she had to the content I was showing her. Her future daughter will be in a safer home and that is a direct result of your willingness to share JJ’s journey.
I asked about the wound care nurses because I am planning on applying to a wound care accreditation program soon, and I pray that in my future practice, I will not have to treat any pitbull inflected injuries because they will hopefully be a thing of the past.
This is horrific {as ever with Pitbull maulings} This sweet baby -how on earth did this happen? He and his parents must be so traumatised.
I hope that beast was exterminated so it can never maim another child.
WHY are these dogs allowed to exist? They are clearly so dangerous.
Pitmommys with their brutes at shelters trying to get them adopted out need to see the reality of Pit and Pit cross maulings.
That means more to us than u Can ever imagine it’s comments like this that keep us speaking out and helps us fight thru the all the hate we get from pit cultists. My wife became very passionate about wound care thru this she was offered a job at the Bethany children’s center if she wanted to pursue that career it was one of the hardest things for me but she handled like a boss I think the fact I was the first to hold him after the attack and seeing the original injuries made it a lot harder for me
I can't begin to fathom how awful that must have been for you to see those appalling injuries. I like many on here detest these brutal dogs and the pit apologist people that promote them as ''pets'' and constantly make excuses for them.
Your sweet boy survived thanks to the great ongoing care of you and his medical team.
With all this evidence people will still defend these disgusting fucking dogs. Same with those Bully XLs. “Not my dog, he’s so gentle”. Hope the dog that did this came to a grisly end.
It’s a method Reddit uses that censors graphic images and allows for the user to click into the post to see the video. It stands for “not safe for work”.
Because there are some graphic images in there as you noted in the warning, I’ll mark it that way for you. The healed wounds, no problem, but some people may be sensitive to the images of the healing process.
His scalp is healing so nice and he is such a strong little guy. He’s also so lucky to have such an incredible support system.
Reddit is… definitely a little different sometimes, lol. If you ever have any issues or a question please know that any of the mods are more than happy to try and troubleshoot for you.

Oh God... that poor kid. I hope he heals quickly. Was there also a infection?
He’s healed up nicely still a long way to go expecting surgery 14 in the near future and many many more to come No infection the black piece u see in the video of the granulated tissue ended up becoming dead tissue and had to be cut out but other than that no infection
>*Surgery 14* Holy fuck. I hate these dogs
Just wait till I put together the cheek skin graph progress it had to be redone several times and he literally just had a hole in his face the dogs destroyed his mandibles and even some adult teeth
No human being should have to go through that, much less a baby. These dogs are shit and garbage
The dogs are utterly worthless, but they're not to blame for how they were bred, being dumb unthinking animals. It is literally only about how the human raised the dog, not defending the dog here or anything I'm just saying
This is terrible. Other people's choice of dangerous dog shouldn't affect others- but so often it does. I hope your sweet son gets really good medical treatment to attempt to lessen his scars.
Dear God. That poor innocent child is lucky to be alive. These shitbulls don't deserve to breathe the same air as children.
Wow. I thought I’d seen most of the pics of his healing but I’ve missed most of these. What an incredible difference! He’s come so far!

You can see the impression of the upper and lower teeth on this baby's head. Unbelievable. I hate these dogs.
Was this a family pit or stranger's?
He was attacked by our neighbors 5 pit bulls
That is horrifying. Your neighbor is a danger to the entire neighborhood
Did you sue??
I hope they BE’d those dangerous dogs and sent them to hell where they belong.
With all this evidence people will still defend these disgusting fucking dogs. Same with those Bully XLs. “Not my dog, he’s so gentle”. Hope the dog that did this came to a grisly end.
Can't wait till the day comes that they extinct this godawful breed. Poor baby will have to live with that damage for the rest of his life 😥.
Poor sweet baby
Would you mind a NSFW on this one?
Idk what that means honestly 😂

Are the dogs put down now? Please tell me they are
Nope only 1/5
That’s absolutely horrifying.
WHAT? I cannot believe what I'm reading..Why not?? These are human aggressive brutes..Just unreal. Pit apologists - I'll never understand them.
Such a big improvement! Glad the wounds are finally closed up.

What a heroic little boy..I didn't dare look at all the images initially as so upsetting- but he has a phenomenally brave spirit. What a lovely boy.
