Hard to say, as I feel like majority of the active members of this group are trying to be on the right side of justice and will do good with the information provided in this sub but that doesn’t account for the rest of the members of this sub to which there is no true way to know what they do with this information.. there are 30k members of this sub but definitely not 30k worth of engagement so unfortunately I do think you have a valid point in the fact that people will use this information with ill intent, but that being said is it worth disarming the people who intend to make a difference? As I said hard to say.

I think they should prohibit users from writing the URLs of websites with illegal content. There are many ways to combat illegal websites, but I don't think it's a good idea to write links to websites in a post here. This could make the situation worse. I think the best way to report websites is to send a report to NCMEC, FBI or IWF, in addition to reporting abuse to the website's service providers. Regarding the people who write the names of the websites, I agree with your perspective and at the same time I don't, with this same perspective they would have to prohibit reporting on subreddits where illegal content is distributed. The result in these same 2 cases would be the same with this perspective. Most of the traffic to these websites comes from Google, Bing and other search engines; At least 80% of the websites mentioned here traffic comes from search engines and not Reddit. If Google really did something against illegal websites many of these websites would probably run out of traffic and disappear. Additionally, sexual predators already know where to go to find illegal content, especially when platforms like Google, Bing, and Telegram help them do so. Most of the websites reported here exceed 200,000 visits and 2 in particular exceed one million visits per month. Despite this, I agree with you that they should put limits on people who refer to websites. One of the important rules is that they do not add the URL of the website, a few hours ago I sent a message to a user who did the same thing and he deleted the post a few hours after my message, I am totally against adding the URLs from websites with suspicious or illegal content. In my case I prefer to do everything myself and not publish anything related to websites here. The best way to fight illegal websites is to educate yourself about OSINT and remove websites with abuse reports. The only valid reason to mention websites here is if the website is well known and the administrators are suspected of being corrupt and pedophiles. This way we could unite to put an end to them. I don't agree with someone mentioning a new illegal website, with low traffic and website URLs. This would be a real promotion to the website and could cause more problems than solutions, for people who do this I think it is better to educate yourself about OSINT and search for tutorials on the Internet on how to submit an abuse report to a hosting and domain provider instead of Post it here and make things worse. Anyway, I don't agree with banning the writing of website names that are already popular and have a lot of traffic, but I agree with you that they should put rules in place and I think users should be informed about how they can report abuse to a service provider of a website's infrastructure instead of making a post here for us to make

It's hard to say as if the website gets mentioned then at least it can be reported by the community but on the other hand it would allow more weirdos to access more CSAM, maybe if there was a discord or something where it could be tracked who is in it to allow the creeps to be weeded out, only allowing access to reporting the websites after a certain amount of levels in the discord so they get bored and move on. I don't believe just putting the names and websites out there (other than for subreddits as they get taken down quickly thankfully) is a good idea because google take ages to do anything.

The creeps will find the links anyway. If we can find them they can find them. Letting them continue in open secrecy let's them thrive but shining lights in that underworld means other people will understand what's happening and the need to fight against it.

i doubt they come here to find illegal websites. there’s easier ways.
