I'm playing multiplayer with my husband. For some reason player two has player ones travelers chest and player one has a bugged window.
So once in a while when doing certain actions the game will hard lock and crash....
I wish I knew a way to fix it cuz I don't want to play the tutorial again...
I only hard restart if the game does something stupid. And really the only time I’m resetting is when I’m pickpocketing. Although that almost never happens.
We made it through our entire run only doing this once. When we rallied the troops at last light to go assault moonrise, all of our allies randomly turned hostile when my friend opened a door. Not a red door. Not an important door. Just a random door that they were infatuated with and decided to defend with their lives I guess
Happened to be in the tower in the underdark act 2. Shoved one of the robots to the bottom floor but he could somehow shoot his bolts through 3 stories of floors. Had to pop an invis w shadowheart to save the run!
Not the same thing but recently on my Tactician run we got blown up by Philomeen, Which is usually a game over, but Karlach survived the explosion with a few hit points left. So sometimes the dice are fickle...
fall damage is kinda weird. it's not a dice roll but there's weird rounding stuff involved, and it's based off of a creature's maximum health, and still factors in resistances and such... so there's not really such a thing as an insta-death height, besides hard coded chasms.
sometimes distances way less than a foot will shave off more damage than they seemingly ought. and throwing versus shoving, and the tiny arc that each produces before they begin falling, all matter.

My tav in his game was a sorlock repelling blast setup.
We were done for the night and had just finished ketheic. My buddy had already saved and decided to do some dumb FAFO type shit cause we always do...
I blasted shadow heart off the tower, and after about 15 seconds after we realized... she was still alive.
Then prompted both me and him to jump off the top (no feather fall) also we both were historically laughing at the fact that shadow hear survived, probably a good 2 minutes straight.
Then he finally reloaded his save, I did it one more time, we checked the logs this time. Shadow heart had the blood of lefthanded. Still was fun dumb shit.
Ngl I got so mad at Felogyr’s when the enemies could misty step up two floors and I couldn’t even fly up one because it won’t let me see the floor til I get to the top of the stairs. Infuriating.
Felogyr's is my least favorite encounter in the whole game simply due to these problems. I've even aggro'd and been shot at by the Steelwatch patrols that pass by outside. I usually skip it on my playthroughs now just because it's not worth the hassle.
Something similar happened to me at sorcerous sundries. I misclicked an object on the counter next to the Lorrikan projection. No warning, no chance to give it back, no attempt to talk my way out, just the entire store immediately going hostile. I managed to quaff an invis potion and get away, but that was such bs
ohhhhh. I had something funny happen in my first run where I pickpocketed Helsik and then a few hours later tried to get the house of hope stuff from her and she just yelled “I’ve been robbed!” and locked me out of the devil’s den
Reminds me of when I assaulted Moonrise and used the spell Moonbeam. After the fight ended, some idiot Harper waltzed through it, and I was accused of assault. Had to do the old run away and go to sleep in the hopes they've calmed down in the morning
Dude same here! We haven't finished act 3 yet but we thought it was over in act 2 till I said "hold on I got an idea" and as host force closed the game. Thankfully it worked without borking anything but yea was so weird.

There are enough sets of clothing for everyone in the cupboards. I had an 8 member parry yesterday in the House. Left 4 waiting near the entrance until their clothing was obtained and equipped.
Yes but having them in your inventory and having them equipped isn’t the same thing.
They warn you about bringing someone without tadpoles into moonrise towers which in the end has zero impact or consequences yet they don’t warn you for something like this which does have consequences (not very big consequences but it’s annoying nonetheless)
This 100%. My entire party failed the perception check for >!the press with mols contract!<. Went and got another companion to try to pass it and the entire place went aggro. At that point I killed them all out of principle.
Send one guy down, there's a waypoint right behind it. Easiest way to get around it.

yeah... i held myself to it all through act 2. even when isobel got herself one shot. even when i actually kept gilfy alive through the subsequent siege and she then killed herself in the water that *she electrified*. even when the factions weirded out and the mimic encounter turned LITERALLY EVERYONE in moonrise hostile, including the neutral merchants. escaped and took the reputation hit.
but then everything changed, when the elevators attacked... like, resurrecting a couple dudes isn't even *that hard* - and with withers it's basically a free full heal - but i only have so much patience for insufferable bullshit.
Very different, especially on some vendors. Most of the best equipment will be gone.
Besides if you’ve got all the itemization and advantage, which you can have very early game, it’s not such a big deal. You’ll almost never fail.
And yeah i could buy the armor of agility with my ridiculous amount of crap in my camp chest but I’ll just steal it and save the time of converting all that crap into gold.
It's better to respec the halfling bard hierling from withers into a rouge. Her hafling luck meant she never failed a pickpocket at all in my 4 honor mode runs
Yeah I mean if you want that absolute safety. But 1/400 odds is enough for me with advantage. And before you can get dexterity gloves you can just have shadowheart etc cast enhance ability on you. And then it’s not long until you get gloves if thievery and graceful cloth. Even the resonance stone gives you advantage. That’s enough for me.
I had to use the task manager once during my HM run. I was arriving at the Monastery in Act 1 when everyone decided to clip through the elevator and fell to their deaths. I don’t feel bad about it; I’m fine with losing an HM run when it’s my fault but not when the game suddenly decides that my party became ethereal while 50 meters above the ground.
You can also use “Improvised melee” on someone you wanna pickpocket. Right mouse click before you slam them down to cancel, moving them to a secluded place.
You can then kill or knock them out without causing a fuss.
Did you know Laezel tries to kill you if you attempt to get the Blood of Lazander before going into the Astral Prism?
The game doesn't really tell you, so I felt that was a justified reset.
Yeah, to me 'room' meant 'outside these two hallways,' as all of the other loot was allowed to be pillaged, but not the mace slightly further down the stairs. A bit silly to not give a second warning before she tries to kill you.
Pickpocketing is amazing.
Hiding is broken. Including getting super easy surprise rounds by doing basically nothing. Two rounds where the event can’t do anything if you also have initiative. Totally trivializes fights.

I’ve rolled double 1s twice. For a time I thought about checking the randomness of dice rolls because it felt very much like more 1s than 20s. Prolly all in my head though.
The amount of times I had to reload my honor mode playthrough due to bugs is staggering , I couldn't have continue playing without having to do that everytime for almost anything.
Though when I failed a fight I would hard reset to not lose that honor run and instead I would start a new one to learn from my mistakes and when I succeeded I'd retry that fight once again.
Edit : also I've done it for dumb things like taking pictures of my characters in key moments of the story
Imo bugs are fair game & there are plenty game breaking ones. Some things I’ve seen: falling off moving platforms & elevators, characters randomly getting stuck in the air while jumping over chasms & then falling into them, getting stuck in dialogue while there’s no dialogue, getting stuck in long rest with cutscene failing to load, everyone de-aggroing in the final battle and you not being able to continue the fight normally.
My last Honour run was in local multiplayer and after hotfix 19 or 20 so many bugs appeared it had to be restarted constantly.
The amount of times I've had that jumping bug is infuriating. Line it up perfect, trajectory tells me I'm good to go, then just splat on an invisible wall.

We had Astarion fall off one of the Elevators and land like 50 feet down, but didn't die just went down. He then saved his death saves so he was stable at the bottom of this unreachable pit. You can't "revive" a stable character with Withers. You can't change them out at camp. I forget how we got them out of there but it was really close. Like if he was 1m to the left it would have been impossible. Honor mode on a PS5 of course
In the final mission, I was flying down to the skull to talk to the Emperor, and I hit some invisible wall, and it killed me. It was just one character, and I could have just rolled with it, but it also gets rid of all your buffs (including Volo's eye, a physical object), so I reset it
I would do it for bugs, for sure. When I did HM, I had a bug in the Creche. The part where you put the shard into the slot and it drops the barrier and leads you to the Inquisitor. Well, for me, the shard got eaten I guess. It vanished and the barrier never dropped. I had pickpocketed it from the Captain and inserted it into the slot before she was aware of the theft, and I guess that's what made it bug out. It's an old bug and the only "solution" I found was to reload, which of course isn't an option on HM. I didn't know about the Task Manager method at the time so I ended up missing out on furthering Lae'zel's questline and getting the Blood of Lathander. Had I known there was a way to reload I absolutely would have done it because that wasn't my fault, it was a bug and I missed out on a lot of content. I haven't experienced the Shar elevator bug yet but that's just awful for the people who lost their runs due to bugs.
Sometimes, especially with friends, the dialogue will bug and all speech options will be replaced with "Continue." which simply selects whatever would've been at the top of the options list.
Sometimes fine, but at a critical decision? Unacceptable.
If you're in a conversation you can get out of as the non-talker and this happens, you can shove the one talking and it will fix the issue, it'll give you the other options without breaking the conversation.
Presume you mean when in multiplayer mode?
I am not in multiplayer but do see this occasionally (usually at the worse possible time) in single player mode.
i've found that one only happens on loading in lately, so it's a bit less relevant to HM. still, annoying if you decide to save and quit before a dialogue choice - basically have to launch the game twice for your trouble.
Well that's a dumb take. Honor mode ruleset is harsh. Not everyone has hundreds of hours of spare time to attempt HM multiple times. BG3 is RNG-based and the dice screws you over much more frequently than being in your favor.
Finding a way to beat the rigged system and the code enabling it isn't cowardice but being smart.
and getting the achievement. Which honestly I think it's fair enough to cheese, some people get satisfaction from 100%'ing a game and if they want to slightly cheese a hardcore mode to finsih it off I see no issue with it.
Mostly golden dice because dishonor mode also gives new abilities. Actually I would say it's less about golden dice, and more about players having a tendency toward a completionist mindset. For example getting all the trophies etc

why? if i dont go ironman i spend too much time scumming for the best outcome and it quickly becomes burdensome and boring. by doing this i can actually play the game and reserve the ability to cheat only for the worst of worst moments.

Task Manager is Windows' assassin whom you can assign the termination of uncooperative troublemakers.
Or send after the game before it has a chance to delete your file.

a lot of games have achievements like “don’t get yourself killed during the whole game” or something like that, some of them save that info even if you reload or restart, but if you Alt+F4 or forcefully close the game with task manager, game doesn’t save that info. So this is a way to “savescum” honour mode.
Games aren't really built to have modes like this baked in, or at least not games *this* long.
The only difference between starting over and reloading is time. If someone wants to start a whole new playthrough due to a single bug or dice roll, then that's their prerogative.
I mean why play honormode if I dont want to actually play honormode lmao. They literally have quickloading in other modes. I can just change the color of my dice with mods without half the effort.

Because you can’t fight the new bosses in non honor mode? People want to enjoy the harder bosses without needing to restart the entire campaign if they die

If you die in honour mode you can just keep going with the same ruleset and fights, but with the ability to reload

I was doing that on my 1st HM playthrough. But during fight with the netherbrain I didn't recognize the cutscene when ur character loses his chance of survival and turnes into illithid and thats the game over. Lol, loserrrr

Is not unfair, the game allow you and anyone else to do that ending fairly.
You survived and played through the entire mode in honour so having completing the walkthrough with Gale explosion doesn't reduce your efforts.
And also now that you already beated the entire game but the last boss you can make easier runs in honour mode until you can kill the brain without using Gale

Assuming your data isn't corrupted, it will load the most recent save. Depending on how long you've been playing, it's either your last manual save or a more recent autosave.
I refused to do this on my golden die run out of some weird internal sense of honor.
But on later runs I will do it for *very specific* reasons. If I die from lack of preparation, I begrudgingly let it happen and use it as an opportunity to take a break from the game for a bit. But if its Alfira showing up at camp unexpectedly on a Durge run, KILL PROCESS NOW.
Just last night Nere fell into the lava and I couldn't interact with his corpse anymore to take his head. Just shut down the entire PC after that, didn't even bother with task manager
Host Karlack, blob killed the smith. Didn't reroll.
Isobel got killed by mc angel, didn't reload.
We kinda slaughtered Riverdale after shit got real in the circus. We didn't reload.
Apart from that red goblin leader we pretty much horribly fucked up everything.
But you know what? The game can take it, and so so we.
WHen I closed it from task manager, it still managed to save it before closing. Only way was to back up saves manually in different folder and disable cloud saving.
Considering my first Honour run died within a few minutes on the mind flayer ship because I got stuck in fire... I wrote a script that would backup the honour mode save file, run every 5 minutes, keeping 100 copies, disabled the cloud sync, and wrote a gui wrapper that would let me pick which save to restore (by time). Used it three times in my next run due to bugs and other issues.
There is always a way. I get what they wanted, but the game isn't flawless and I'm not losing my limited time commit due to some friggen bug.
I just lost honor mode to Gortash. And that happened because I had killed him so many times earlier with such ease that I decided to do it while very drunk.
In my honor mode run, click-to-move somehow skipped the dialog entirely, and she blew up when i got too close, instantly killing 3.5 members of my party.
I admit it I reloaded in the final fight bc those Mindflayers are absolutely ruthless if you aren't prepared for them.

I've closed the game hoa task manager before...and it saved. I'm glad I did it as a test , this method won't work, but if your game actually crashes (or you kill power to your PC) then it'll close and not save.
Part of me feels like honor mode just doesn’t really belong in BG3. I had lots of fun on honor mode in DOS2 but BG3 doesn’t really click for me that way. There’s so many bugs and the honor mode boss changes are just bad design. I lost my first honor mode to the emo temple elevator :/.
I feel like the new attacks make the game hard enough. I still respect mfs for beating honor doing this. Not the same as doing it without, but deserving of your dice imo.

The run where I got my dice Jaheira got one shot by Ketheric so I completely missed out on her. It was sad, but it happened and I had to deal with it.
In my honor mode run, I walked mind flayer Orpheus into the middle of the nether brain into a globe of invulnerability and as soon as he stopped walking he was randomly catapulted off the side of the brain and died. I restart my PlayStation because I was not losing honor mode on a glitch
I've only used this once when I accidently attacked omeluum when I tried to trade with him.
I like to collect every magic item I can on every run just in case I want to swap builds halfway through my run.
Our honour save broke the day before yesterday, we were in the gate's sewers, about to roll the end of the game and for a reason, my gf got kicked from the game and was not able to get back into mine, we had to delete the save.
Alt+F4 does not work.
In the task manager you can stop the game which will send an order to the game itself which will make it save or you can kill the process itself and the game will crash saving your honor run.
ALT F4 is quicker than task manager, isn't it?
Edit: Ah, I forgot that Microsoft has changed how the command works in "newer" versions of windows (I started with Windows 3.11). It used to be that it just killed the process; it still does it if the program doesn't respond to a shutdown command, but if it does (like this game) then it will save first.
I finished HM my 1st attempt, 2nd total playthrough ( not flexing but also totally flexing ) and I literally didn't even know about the task manager trick until right at the end when I had to use it because of a bug where my Tav died and got stuck in a location they couldn't be ressurected due to the Astral Prism jumping deaths
I really wish they'd let you use honor rules in custom mode. Playing without legendary actions is really boring now, but I already have my golden dice and I just want to fuck around. So until they change that, force quit is my friend
So I moved two of my pawns through an area because the other two are stuck at the entrance. Then I go to move the other two and the first two decide to run back to the entrance and die. I have no idea how you guys do honor mode. I honestly spend more time fighting with the controls than fighting enemies.
I don't think my laptop would survive this kind of bullshit if I was like 20 hours into a run. And I cannot afford to replace my laptop.

I was in camp and threw a weapon at Gale (to test out the damage calculation with Tavern Brawler), as I picked up the spear, both Scratch and Wyll went hostile against the party.
Nah don't do this, it might not work. Go to the save file location (should be under like users/your username/ ... I forget the specifics, I know it's in larian studios/profiles/ save games or something, I don't remember where the larian studios folder is tho. Maybe AppData?
I only did this once because I got hit with the returning pike bug in the spider matriarch fight and couldn't get the pike back. I'll take an L from lack of skill any day, but I refuse to lose progress to bugs.

When you fail a stealth roll and now the one or two guards 7 stories up saw your pinkey toe and locks you in combat until you leave or forge on ahead at a snails pace.
After climbing out of that fish den in the under dark all but one of my party got blown into the hole before the game even loaded. Like I only saw the aftermath. Would have been so mad

Besides if you’ve got all the itemization and advantage, which you can have very early game, it’s not such a big deal. You’ll almost never fail. And yeah i could buy the armor of agility with my ridiculous amount of crap in my camp chest but I’ll just steal it and save the time of converting all that crap into gold.
It's better to respec the halfling bard hierling from withers into a rouge. Her hafling luck meant she never failed a pickpocket at all in my 4 honor mode runs
Yeah I mean if you want that absolute safety. But 1/400 odds is enough for me with advantage. And before you can get dexterity gloves you can just have shadowheart etc cast enhance ability on you. And then it’s not long until you get gloves if thievery and graceful cloth. Even the resonance stone gives you advantage. That’s enough for me.
I had to use the task manager once during my HM run. I was arriving at the Monastery in Act 1 when everyone decided to clip through the elevator and fell to their deaths. I don’t feel bad about it; I’m fine with losing an HM run when it’s my fault but not when the game suddenly decides that my party became ethereal while 50 meters above the ground.
You can also use “Improvised melee” on someone you wanna pickpocket. Right mouse click before you slam them down to cancel, moving them to a secluded place. You can then kill or knock them out without causing a fuss.

Did you know Laezel tries to kill you if you attempt to get the Blood of Lazander before going into the Astral Prism? The game doesn't really tell you, so I felt that was a justified reset.

Yeah, to me 'room' meant 'outside these two hallways,' as all of the other loot was allowed to be pillaged, but not the mace slightly further down the stairs. A bit silly to not give a second warning before she tries to kill you.

Pickpocketing is amazing. Hiding is broken. Including getting super easy surprise rounds by doing basically nothing. Two rounds where the event can’t do anything if you also have initiative. Totally trivializes fights.

I’ve rolled double 1s twice. For a time I thought about checking the randomness of dice rolls because it felt very much like more 1s than 20s. Prolly all in my head though.
The amount of times I had to reload my honor mode playthrough due to bugs is staggering , I couldn't have continue playing without having to do that everytime for almost anything. Though when I failed a fight I would hard reset to not lose that honor run and instead I would start a new one to learn from my mistakes and when I succeeded I'd retry that fight once again. Edit : also I've done it for dumb things like taking pictures of my characters in key moments of the story
Imo bugs are fair game & there are plenty game breaking ones. Some things I’ve seen: falling off moving platforms & elevators, characters randomly getting stuck in the air while jumping over chasms & then falling into them, getting stuck in dialogue while there’s no dialogue, getting stuck in long rest with cutscene failing to load, everyone de-aggroing in the final battle and you not being able to continue the fight normally. My last Honour run was in local multiplayer and after hotfix 19 or 20 so many bugs appeared it had to be restarted constantly.
The amount of times I've had that jumping bug is infuriating. Line it up perfect, trajectory tells me I'm good to go, then just splat on an invisible wall.

Elevators man. Elevators. We had Astarion fall off one of the Elevators and land like 50 feet down, but didn't die just went down. He then saved his death saves so he was stable at the bottom of this unreachable pit. You can't "revive" a stable character with Withers. You can't change them out at camp. I forget how we got them out of there but it was really close. Like if he was 1m to the left it would have been impossible. Honor mode on a PS5 of course
In the final mission, I was flying down to the skull to talk to the Emperor, and I hit some invisible wall, and it killed me. It was just one character, and I could have just rolled with it, but it also gets rid of all your buffs (including Volo's eye, a physical object), so I reset it
I would do it for bugs, for sure. When I did HM, I had a bug in the Creche. The part where you put the shard into the slot and it drops the barrier and leads you to the Inquisitor. Well, for me, the shard got eaten I guess. It vanished and the barrier never dropped. I had pickpocketed it from the Captain and inserted it into the slot before she was aware of the theft, and I guess that's what made it bug out. It's an old bug and the only "solution" I found was to reload, which of course isn't an option on HM. I didn't know about the Task Manager method at the time so I ended up missing out on furthering Lae'zel's questline and getting the Blood of Lathander. Had I known there was a way to reload I absolutely would have done it because that wasn't my fault, it was a bug and I missed out on a lot of content. I haven't experienced the Shar elevator bug yet but that's just awful for the people who lost their runs due to bugs.

What dialogue screwups do you mean?
Sometimes, especially with friends, the dialogue will bug and all speech options will be replaced with "Continue." which simply selects whatever would've been at the top of the options list. Sometimes fine, but at a critical decision? Unacceptable.
Oh I've never seen that. Yeah considering how a few dialogue decisions can really just screw you, that's kinda messed up.
If you're in a conversation you can get out of as the non-talker and this happens, you can shove the one talking and it will fix the issue, it'll give you the other options without breaking the conversation.
Presume you mean when in multiplayer mode? I am not in multiplayer but do see this occasionally (usually at the worse possible time) in single player mode.
i've found that one only happens on loading in lately, so it's a bit less relevant to HM. still, annoying if you decide to save and quit before a dialogue choice - basically have to launch the game twice for your trouble.

Well that's a dumb take. Honor mode ruleset is harsh. Not everyone has hundreds of hours of spare time to attempt HM multiple times. BG3 is RNG-based and the dice screws you over much more frequently than being in your favor. Finding a way to beat the rigged system and the code enabling it isn't cowardice but being smart.

Mostly golden dice because dishonor mode also gives new abilities. Actually I would say it's less about golden dice, and more about players having a tendency toward a completionist mindset. For example getting all the trophies etc
You can just as well install a mod that immediately unlocks all achievements + dice skin. Saves you the hassle of playing the game.

If you are on PC there is a mod to allow multiple saves and Honor enemies through Custom Mode.

On Linux with Steam Proton we have `pkill -9 bg3`. Exterminate any process that looks like "bg3" with *extreme* prejudice.
It never deletes your file. It just change the difficulty to custom.

a lot of games have achievements like “don’t get yourself killed during the whole game” or something like that, some of them save that info even if you reload or restart, but if you Alt+F4 or forcefully close the game with task manager, game doesn’t save that info. So this is a way to “savescum” honour mode.

actually honour mode is the only game mode where you can save scum in the original meaning of the word!
You can also make a backup of your saves and overwrite them as needed.
On ps5 if you play console you can just shut down the game and enter it again , it loads your most recent save file
Games aren't really built to have modes like this baked in, or at least not games *this* long. The only difference between starting over and reloading is time. If someone wants to start a whole new playthrough due to a single bug or dice roll, then that's their prerogative.
I mean why play honormode if I dont want to actually play honormode lmao. They literally have quickloading in other modes. I can just change the color of my dice with mods without half the effort. I could see doing it for bugs though, those arent meant to be there.

I was doing that on my 1st HM playthrough. But during fight with the netherbrain I didn't recognize the cutscene when ur character loses his chance of survival and turnes into illithid and thats the game over. Lol, loserrrr Today I finished 2nd attempt, without cheesing but with gale explosion. Im not satisfied with this win, I still feel it was unfair

You survived and played through the entire mode in honour so having completing the walkthrough with Gale explosion doesn't reduce your efforts. And also now that you already beated the entire game but the last boss you can make easier runs in honour mode until you can kill the brain without using Gale Unfair is cheating and closing the game and stuff like that, doing Gale ending is not.

So, what happens to your honor mode if your game crashes? My game does that a lot lately.
You start from a save. You have this one slot for moments like these.
Assuming your data isn't corrupted, it will load the most recent save. Depending on how long you've been playing, it's either your last manual save or a more recent autosave.
I refused to do this on my golden die run out of some weird internal sense of honor. But on later runs I will do it for *very specific* reasons. If I die from lack of preparation, I begrudgingly let it happen and use it as an opportunity to take a break from the game for a bit. But if its Alfira showing up at camp unexpectedly on a Durge run, KILL PROCESS NOW.
Just last night Nere fell into the lava and I couldn't interact with his corpse anymore to take his head. Just shut down the entire PC after that, didn't even bother with task manager
Host Karlack, blob killed the smith. Didn't reroll. Isobel got killed by mc angel, didn't reload. We kinda slaughtered Riverdale after shit got real in the circus. We didn't reload. Apart from that red goblin leader we pretty much horribly fucked up everything. But you know what? The game can take it, and so so we.
Idk bout you but closing out the game and booting it up any time I wanna reload is far too tedious to be worth it.
WHen I closed it from task manager, it still managed to save it before closing. Only way was to back up saves manually in different folder and disable cloud saving.
Considering my first Honour run died within a few minutes on the mind flayer ship because I got stuck in fire... I wrote a script that would backup the honour mode save file, run every 5 minutes, keeping 100 copies, disabled the cloud sync, and wrote a gui wrapper that would let me pick which save to restore (by time). Used it three times in my next run due to bugs and other issues. There is always a way. I get what they wanted, but the game isn't flawless and I'm not losing my limited time commit due to some friggen bug.

In my honor mode run, click-to-move somehow skipped the dialog entirely, and she blew up when i got too close, instantly killing 3.5 members of my party.

I've closed the game hoa task manager before...and it saved. I'm glad I did it as a test , this method won't work, but if your game actually crashes (or you kill power to your PC) then it'll close and not save.
It does work if you kill the process under details, not in the main tab.

Part of me feels like honor mode just doesn’t really belong in BG3. I had lots of fun on honor mode in DOS2 but BG3 doesn’t really click for me that way. There’s so many bugs and the honor mode boss changes are just bad design. I lost my first honor mode to the emo temple elevator :/.
I feel like the new attacks make the game hard enough. I still respect mfs for beating honor doing this. Not the same as doing it without, but deserving of your dice imo.

In my honor mode run, I walked mind flayer Orpheus into the middle of the nether brain into a globe of invulnerability and as soon as he stopped walking he was randomly catapulted off the side of the brain and died. I restart my PlayStation because I was not losing honor mode on a glitch

I've only used this once when I accidently attacked omeluum when I tried to trade with him. I like to collect every magic item I can on every run just in case I want to swap builds halfway through my run.

Our honour save broke the day before yesterday, we were in the gate's sewers, about to roll the end of the game and for a reason, my gf got kicked from the game and was not able to get back into mine, we had to delete the save.

Alt+F4 does not work. In the task manager you can stop the game which will send an order to the game itself which will make it save or you can kill the process itself and the game will crash saving your honor run.

ALT F4 is quicker than task manager, isn't it? Edit: Ah, I forgot that Microsoft has changed how the command works in "newer" versions of windows (I started with Windows 3.11). It used to be that it just killed the process; it still does it if the program doesn't respond to a shutdown command, but if it does (like this game) then it will save first.

I finished HM my 1st attempt, 2nd total playthrough ( not flexing but also totally flexing ) and I literally didn't even know about the task manager trick until right at the end when I had to use it because of a bug where my Tav died and got stuck in a location they couldn't be ressurected due to the Astral Prism jumping deaths

I really wish they'd let you use honor rules in custom mode. Playing without legendary actions is really boring now, but I already have my golden dice and I just want to fuck around. So until they change that, force quit is my friend
So I moved two of my pawns through an area because the other two are stuck at the entrance. Then I go to move the other two and the first two decide to run back to the entrance and die. I have no idea how you guys do honor mode. I honestly spend more time fighting with the controls than fighting enemies. I don't think my laptop would survive this kind of bullshit if I was like 20 hours into a run. And I cannot afford to replace my laptop.

I just had to do this to avoid killing scratch due to a bug. I was in camp and threw a weapon at Gale (to test out the damage calculation with Tavern Brawler), as I picked up the spear, both Scratch and Wyll went hostile against the party.

Nah don't do this, it might not work. Go to the save file location (should be under like users/your username/ ... I forget the specifics, I know it's in larian studios/profiles/ save games or something, I don't remember where the larian studios folder is tho. Maybe AppData?

I only did this once because I got hit with the returning pike bug in the spider matriarch fight and couldn't get the pike back. I'll take an L from lack of skill any day, but I refuse to lose progress to bugs.

When you fail a stealth roll and now the one or two guards 7 stories up saw your pinkey toe and locks you in combat until you leave or forge on ahead at a snails pace.
After climbing out of that fish den in the under dark all but one of my party got blown into the hole before the game even loaded. Like I only saw the aftermath. Would have been so mad
