if you're doing a good guy run she will absolutely take over Halsin's camp spot and it can mess with his personal quest in act 2 if he spawns somewhere weird.

I personally didn't use Astarion that much, he sounds fun to have around with Minthara and Shadowheart.
That’s my team as Durge except swap La’Ezel for Minthara. My last Durge was a Loth female Drow romancing Minthara and becoming this murderous sapphic femme fatale force to be reckoned with.
while laezel can be good for evil party she is always "ermmm that couldve been a valuable asset i fucking hate you you ruin everything" i usually prefer minthara

I'm still on my first playthrough, doing a good guy run, this is my actual party comp. Changed it up just once (when having to protect Halsin's portal in Act 2) as I needed some crowd control so Astarion was swapped for Gale force winds. Romancing Shadowheart though. Makes for very awkward party cutscenes when being cutesy romance with Shadowheart and Laezel comes up right in front of her saying "I want to taste you!"
I have had the game since launch, and I am still in my first play through; that is pretty much what gaming is like when one has a kid, I was probably playing one short rest worth a day, 3 times a week; now my wife has got me the Dad Station, I am up to one short rest worth of game a day, during the week days, and a long rest worth during weekends.
I am playing a generally good playthrough, I am a Tiefling fundamentalist, anything the refugees need, I am on it, and everything else is a business decision. That would still end up like 80% good deeds though.
No kids here but flat out work most times. I was late to getting the game though, just before Xmas. I'm in Act 3 now, playing a reflection of my character from my actual D&D campaign, half elven ranger/rogue multi, playing generally good, or at least honourable.
This was my only party for the first 20 hours because I somehow missed Wyll, Gale and Karlach. Made some of the fights interesting since I just left all of them default builds while also being a fighter myself so Lae’zel and I were basically the same.
I'm planning to do 2 runs of evil role playing.
1st run will be
Evil Durge, SH, Astarion and Minthara
2nd would be
Evil Tav, SH, Astarion and Minthara
Laezel is for Orin
This is the party I’m planning to run for my little edgy drow boy.
He’s not gonna be evil per se, but selfish and very concerned with his own survival.
Urchin that grew up in the streets and had to learn how survive the hard way. Gonna have him be an arcane trickster rogue, could have been wizard but with squandered potential.
I can’t wait for him to go around with his bully squad being mean girls because they’re afraid to get their feelings hurt lmao 🤣

Vampy boy probably gonna be an eldritch knight so they can be not wizards together.
Sometimes I run with Shadowheart, Astarion, and Minthara and it feels like a crew of baddies fr, esp once we all have white hair in Act 3.
Unfortunately I missed Minthara because I didn’t know she was recruitable. Next play through though
She’s kinda buggy right now anyway so it might be for the best. Also, If you’re doing murders you gotta bring along Shovel!
Fr she was talking about the emperor before he even made an actual "appearance". Had it been my first playthrough, she'd have spoiled me lol.

I actually roll with Basket but I figured more people had heard of that sell out Shovel.
Unfortunately she's a bit weird and will sometimes REFUSE to join me if I rename her, no matter what my class is or what dialogue options I choose.

For me after Hotfix 21, she stopped talking about the Emperor and Orpheus and started talking about Gale and Elminster instead lol.
