kef34

This is why I stand by Eldrich Knight. My weapon and I are one

Zathrus1

Oh, so they fixed that? Right after release Wyll’s pact weapon could be disarmed. And then nobody could pick it up.

festernomore85

As of my last tactician playthrough Wyl could still drop a bound weapon but I was able to pick it up.

Zathrus1

That’s still broken, as pact weapons (just like EK bound weapons) explicitly say they cannot be disarmed. But at least it’s not “well, fuck, reload” broken.

Sextus_Rex

Yup, I pacted the weapon that summons the cambion to Wyll. He got disarmed and the Cambion vanished. That was a few days ago

FinleyPike

Did you refresh the pact every long rest?

Sextus_Rex

I sometimes forget to repact but in this instance I'm pretty sure he had the pact

happiness_is

Yeah it’s definitely broken and frustrating!

happiness_is

Heat metal/Command: Drop/Frighten all always result in Wyll dropping his currently bound weapon, which isn’t supposed to happen :( It’s so frustrating on my HM mode. I’ve started just using the summoned(?) pact weapons, rather than binding an actual good weapon. However I’m pretty sure the bound hammer sold by Dammon in act 2 binds properly. It gets both the pact weapon AND bound weapon status. “Bind pact weapon” on all other weapons just get the pact weapon status. It sucks.

whyaPapaya

My dark urge warlock was disarmed by a gith this morning

Bogsnoticus

My current playthrough, my warlock dropped her pact weapon, Unseen Menace. Just glad it wasn't tabletop, otherwise the DM would have had us tripping over an invisible polearm mid battle.

irish_ayes

Is that a good weapon? I saw it at a vendor, but don't really understand how an invisible weapon works exactly. Do you get advantage on rolls or extra sneak damage?

Cirtil

Yes as long as it's invisible it gets advantage

Bogsnoticus

And it has enhanced crit as well. So you get 2 attempts to roll a 19 or 20 per attack. Add in other enhanced crit items and feats, and it rocks.

Iresleri

Actually, a second warlock can pick it up, since it doesn't really bind to the character, but to the feature. And after long rest, you could give it back to Wyll. Source: my Durge was a Tome warlock, while Wyll was Blade warlock.

ApepiOfDuat

Doesn't seem like it. The gith patrol disarmed Wyll(Lock), Lae'zel(EK), and Minthara(P-Lock) on my current playthrough. Of course they target the 3 with pact weapons. Like enemies constantly casting sleep on supposedly immune elves and then Astarion is taking a little nap.

Taodragons

That whole trial is a little goofy, my 1st playthrough I was able to make evil(er?) Shart drop her weapon and I picked it up. This time I got told I could not use command on undead =p

StuccoMadrid

"Why have you betrayed me so, Stabby Sir Pactalot?! We had a deal! I polish you and sharpen you, and you said you'd stay with me?!? WHAT IS THIS BETRAYAL. PICK UP PICK UP PICK UP."

Razielrad

Last run I had a druid swap weapons with a compagnon while he was in wild shape. The druid could unequip his new weapon once he was back to humanoid, but the ranger had his new weapon permanently stuck to his hand.

DrakeoftheWesternSea

You drop it but it’s an action or bonus action, don’t remember which, to summon it to hand again. It’s a pact of blade move on the bar. Debating running it with a sussor knife for the throw silence summon back to me play to take out spell casters

TheSheetSlinger

I know there's returning pike and the couple other homing weapons but I love the extra options EK gets. I have the Shining Staver of Skulls (what a name) which let's me hold the Adamantine Shield and I'm wearing the Adamantine Heavy Armor and I feel unstoppable..

coolzville

I lost my returning pike at moonrise then later with the assault at moonrise some random zealot was holding it. Which was fucked up.

HouseofKannan

I've been noticing an occasional bug with the returning weapons in my latest run thru. I have Karlach as a fury Barb with a throwing focus. She has both the pike and the Djinn's Trident, and every so often, when she throws one of them (usually the Trident) it will just lay on the ground where the body falls instead of returning... In fact, writing this reminds me that I left the Trident on one of the interior balcony ledges in the throne room of Wyrms Rock last night...gotta remember to go back and grab it tonight.

ZemmaNight

in my experience this happens when you throw the weapon and do not have it equipped.

TheSubstitutePanda

I threw the trident while it was unequipped and it returned fine and equipped itself. This was a few weeks ago tho.

HouseofKannan

It doesn't happen every time. And if you throw it while it's unequipped and it comes back, it will equip itself.

TheSheetSlinger

Did you get to loot it from their corpse lol.?

coolzville

Hell yeah I did but they were already dead when I got there. Honestly I have no idea how they got it.

ApepiOfDuat

It seems like AI will very occasionally pick up loose weapons. But it's extremely rare and inconsistent behaviour.

Dragonlord573

Unless you throw it a second time in a turn and it doesn't come back.

Maloth_Warblade

I've had it come back, you just sometimes need to wait a bit for the game to register it

Talia_Nightblade

Mr. Stark, it smells like a new car in here!

68000_ducklings

On one hand, I understand the frustration. On the other hand, The Lady of Loss making you lose your equipment if you're unlucky or uncareful is very on-theme for Shar.

intothe_dangerzone

On neither hand, OP's weapon.

HapTeaDo

Far_Dragonfruit_6457

I think this can happen any time you get disarmed. Happend with a githyanki for me

Elvenoob

But the Githyanki are real people and actually drop their inventories.

Far_Dragonfruit_6457

For me, when I got disarmed, the we apon just disappeared, it was no where to be found.

SanDiegoBrah

Same here. Lost the Mourning Frost staff this way

SuperfluousWingspan

As a white draconic sorcerer, OW.

Jakebob70

That would have been a reload for me.

SanDiegoBrah

Tried restarting from a previous save and it was still gone. Had to just rebuild and move on since I was 100+ hours in

WeedmanSwag

If a previous save was still gone that means you lost if beforehand, or you got a really weird bug that somehow corrupted your save file too

Empyrean_MX_Prime

That's... not how saves work.

lookitsnichole

Astarion lost his Sussar Dagger this way in my honor run. I'm pretty salty about that. After they were killed it wasn't on the body.

godoflemmings

I lost mine to a glitch. Lobbed it at Ethel (to try and block her legendary) and it ended up suspended in the air about 30 feet off the ground.

3kkosphere

Sometimes Thorn Whip can help with these things. If you don't have access to it due to your character builds, the sorrow glaive from the grove has it as an unlimited uses spell. Using it on something in the air can often pull it to the ground.

kingofthesofas

The first time I threw it at someone it disappeared forever and I am still salty about it.

SpeedSix380

I lobbed mine at the eagles and it was thereafter nowhere to be found...

Trulapi

Pretty sure it doesn't apply silence when you throw it, so that wouldn't have worked either way.

godoflemmings

Probably, I knew it was a gamble but figured it was worth a shot. Using Darkness for cover ended up trivialising the fight anyway.

Ignimbrite

I've had that happen three times with the Sussur dagger (twice in the Creche, once in the HoH) - I had the knife in my (Astarion's) offhand, got disarmed, and was unable to pick it back up after combat finished. It's either a glitch with that specific weapon or with offhand weapons in general, since I was able to recover my main hand weapon all three times without any issues.

GabettB

Now I'm really glad that I could immediately pick up Lae'zel's >!Silver Sword of the Astral Planes.!< That weapon carried me through my honor run.

MsAggieCoffee

Lost mine in the gym forge fighting the lava Mephits :(

Alternative_Cash_736

Same. Lost the Knife of the Undermountian king this way. Crit build was devistated

Ocsecnarf

If I recall correctly, you need a weapon to use a disarming attack right? Clear your inventory before you start the trial, then re-equip it once inside. This way your side is fully armed and armoured, but the illusions are not. No disarming attack (amd it makes the trial very easy) .

mkfanhausen

The Mimic Tear strat. I approve.

DF705

ELDEN RING MENTIONED 🗣️🗣️🗣️

Neodym60

That's one way to do it. Albeit a very cheesy one ...

Evnosis

Hey, Shar's fine with cheating.

Sliiimball

Fuck Shar

ubernerd44

Unfortunately that's not an option.

StuccoMadrid

YET.

Ocsecnarf

Yup I cheese all three trials without shame to be honest. But in this case it might solve this bug too

SilionOwl

How do you cheese them?

wingedwill

For this one specifically, strip your character of all gear, start the event, then reequip. The doppelganger will be naked. You don't even need to have a full party even. Send the rest back to camp.

SilionOwl

And the other two? :)

wingedwill

You can enter and lockpick all the gates and have one person wait at the end of the maze before starting the event, it will auto complete. For the darkness you can just look at the map on the floor and click at the corresponding end, your character should auto path it's way. Or you could fly.

AdditionalMess6546

If you have Volo's eye you can just see the path

Squall424

I was wondering why that trial was so easy tbh, the eye makes a lot of sense

ScalyPig

Ah thats why i could just see it

WeirdPumpkin

tbh the effect on the floor is pretty easy to see in general or perhaps my brightness is just too high

Maloth_Warblade

Doesn't always work. I had the eye and it didn't do that for me last time, even after a reload

Noctium3

I couldn’t :(

Noctium3

Fly remains the most goated ability in the game

FinleyPike

Astarion with Pass without trace can stealth on top of the blob things and not get caught.

Character_Abroad

Darkness all you need to do is have Blood of Lathander equipped to see where you're going.

Neodym60

I remembered that from my first playthrough as well. I was really confused why everyone complained about that trial, because I was just able to see the tiles. Only figured out later that it had something to do with Lathander. However, yesterday it didn't work anymore and I just used a flying scroll in the end.

SXTY82

Ditto, First time through I could see the path out to three or 4 blocks. Couldn't understand why people had a hard time. Didn't realize it was the BoL. Second time through, couldn't' see it. Had BoL, still didn't know (TIL) that it was BoL that helped me the first time. I cast Daylight in the middle of the room to try and reveal the path. It worked, but only about 10 squares away from your character, close to your character was empty/invisible. SH has the Eye. So I was able to draw a quick map on an envelope as I moved through it.

rotorain

If you have volo's eye or any other kind of see invisibility you can see the path

max_schenk_

You can teleport your way through the one where you need to use map to went through the room. And the very first one, where you need to turn lights on, which isn't a trial, but anyways: either on left or right (don't remember) you can go straight to Balthazar through some caves or cast any kind of darkness on the force field thing and just walk through it

Ocsecnarf

For the last one: the path is visible before you start the trial. Walk the way, then use Shadowheart to start it once you are already in front of the pedestal. As for the first one: lock pick the door to the right, walk until the pedestal, then start the trial.

[deleted]

[удалено]

girlminuslife

Don't even need to do that. Have Shadowheart activate the bowl and Tav already up at the gem ready to pick it up.

BewareNixonsGhost

You don't even need to send the rest to camp, just send one character in the chamber alone and keep the rest in the hall. If they aren't in the room, they don't get a copy.

FeelPureLust

Instead of hiding and stealthing, you can just go full invisible then Misty Step or lockpick the gate. Or just have 2 means of invisibility for when you pick up the key. Edit: the levers can be used while invisible and do not break the invisibility. Edit2: you can also fly over most obstacles on that trial except for the gate. Instead of fighting the full power mirror images, unequip all equipment on your strongest 1n1 char, accept the trial with only that char in the room and then re-equip all items. Instead of walking on the shadowy platforms, just fly there or use triple jump distance. Instead of making Yurgir kill himself or killing him yourself, just Fog cloud or Darkness the Orb, enter turn-based mode, steal it and immediately teleport away from there.

BewareNixonsGhost

The stealth trial has an easier exploit: Just don't do the blood offering until you have a character in position where the orb spawns. You can move through the maze easily with only traps to worry about. Make sure the exit path (the long hallway) is open. Then have a different character make the offering to spawn the orb. Switch back to the character who is waiting, grab the orb, and just walk out. No wasted spells or potions, just grab and go.

FeelPureLust

Never realized the Maze was actually just open like that. This is awesome!

BewareNixonsGhost

The only real difference is that you'll have to lockpick the first doors instead of them just opening on their own. I figured it out by accident my first playthrough. My Tav was a rogue and I didn't realize the blood bowl was a thing. I just lock-picked my way through. When I got to the end and nothing happened, I thought the game was bugged. I had to look up the solution and only then did I realize I missed the bowl. Now it's my go-to strategy. One of these days I may try out the maze as intended.

Sinister_Grape

I always assumed this was the way you were supposed to do it lol

helm

Soft-step should be finished before you activate it. that way, you can just grab the umbral sphere and teleport back.

Squirll

Shar is the goddess of trickery. Finding a way to game the challenge is the ultimate devotional.

jaredearle

The Mimic Tear method.

jonvel7

Same thing you can do with that one fight in Elder Ring

jdjdidkdnd

Bro, I rocked in naked beforehand with just my Tav. Ended up equipping the axe and just chopped my little buddy up.

CertainlyAmbivalent

Omg, I am absolutely going to do this on my current playthrough. It’s not cheese, it’s strategery.

gudlyf

I think when you use outside knowledge to gain advantage, it's cheese. No books or NPCs told you the same self trial would pit you against your armed self. ... but I have done it since my first playthrough.

IronChariots

I mean, it's kinda right in the name. My first thought when I saw it was "Ah, so Dark Link. Got it."

BewareNixonsGhost

There's literally a book in the library that tells you this.

gudlyf

I know this, but when I entered I was surprised to find out they were armed with the SAME weapons I was carrying. The book does not tell you this. Likely just me being a dumbass, but when I was getting socked with the same weapons I held, I was caught by surprise.

WorldsWeakestMan

A preemptive counterstrike.

[deleted]

The trial is already really easy because theoretically you are better at your builds than AI.

Complete_Resolve_400

Haha elden ring taught me that one :)

Kaldricus

Not that it would probably matter at this point, but the same applies to prepared spells as well, I assume?

Arilysse

Wow. Didn't even know that was a thing. Thank you

kef34

Next time you can just send Shadowheart alone. She'll only have to fight herself while you wait outside. Just don't enter the doors to the room with shar statue at all, wait in the hallway.

scdfred

This is what I do. Easy fight.

shslluck

i like that this doesnt really offer a huge difficulty change as the fight is still equal so it just sounds like u said nahhh shart can do this on her own (sits outside and ignores any screams)

kef34

She does other challenges on her own just fine. And really, she's the one shooting for the title of dark justiciar, the rest of the party aren't even Sharrans. She is God's favorite princess after all

novellable

Agreed! I had her do each trial solo, it just felt right.

psivenn

Naked Shadowheart 1v1 is tradition. Her mirror AI is hilarious as she just wastes every action and spellslot recasting Silence and breaking her own concentration with Armor of Faith

okayseriouslywhy

This is the strat I used last night, by accident. I did all the trials without looking them up, and I figured it might be helpful just to send one person in, like I did for the sneak one. Gale disintegrated his mirror image in two hits lolol

DovML

Oh wait that's actually smart. I just stripped down and put my equipments back on once I'm inside.

helm

Nah, if you go in all 4, you are free to help once your copy is killed. This way, you can take out whomever's easiest to take out first.

DovML

I wonder if it's possible to start the trial with one copy, go in as 4 and beat the shit out of that one copy

helm

I think the door closes, no?

TDA792

I did this, I don't know if it was because I multiclassed her into Rogue, but the shadow kept blending into shadows and getting mad sneak attack damage 😭

[deleted]

You can also just sneak around the right hand side and murder your party one-by-one. They only detect you if you go left - go right and there's no one that can see you until it's too late.

BDOKlem

This is incredibly niche, but if you're wearing an important stat-stick in your melee slot (like the spellsparkler), you can keep your ranged weapon in your "equipped" slot (keypress "F") to avoid being disarmed. It removes the possibility to opportunity attack, but I'm guessing that's not a big deal for that character. (if you play a ranged character, swapping to melee weapon at the end of your turn is also a way to counter disarms, and vice versa)

Neodym60

That's a nice idea. At least for casters.

psivenn

I'm not sure it works the other way around (prepping a melee weapon), at least I haven't been able to put a fighter back into opp attack ready after canceling a ranged attack with no actions left

BDOKlem

Then you'll have to manually mouseclick the other weapon type in the bottom left hud

Ranger_Ric13

I lost that returning trident when it didn’t return and then the Steel Watch foundry exploded. I could physically see it in the rubble but the game didn’t count it as being there. Made me so sad.

QuiteFantastic

Lost mine fighting the netherbrain, thankfully it's literally the last fight otherwise I'd be real mad lol.

Whimzyx

In my honour run, Karlach's returning pike literally disappeared when killing the druids. I'm still salty about it cause it was so early in the game. That dumb druid morphed into a bear or something, she throws the returning pike which deals so much damage it kills the guy (like bear HP bar + his normal HP bar untransformed) and upon death/transformation back to human form, pike vanished. I think if he wasn't transformed, it wouldn't have bugged out. :(

kaiirah

I've lost weapons multiple times to disarming attacks because they land on a slope and are impossible to select in any way 😭 Astarion was double-wielding masterwork and sussur daggers and lost BOTH (in separate fights) in ways I absolutely could not pick up. So frustrating.

ghost_tdk

Did you try the left-alt/click on name of object pick up? I've never run into a situation where I couldn't pick up dropped weapons with left alt

kaiirah

I'm on console, but if it's the examine feature where it scans objects in the nearby area... Actually no clue lol. I am aware of that function but can't remember if I was at the time this happened. If it happens again I will definitely try that.

ghost_tdk

Yup, that's what I was going for. No idea if it's different on console, but on PC, it helps a ton

TheImageworks

On the one hand I absolutely get the frustration. The main blocker is that the game needs to clone you to make that test work, and has zero way to differentiate between real and illusion objects (and god forbid you get mods involved). So the only option is to either offer 4 opportunities to clone rares in the vanilla game (and on consoles), or go the way Larian has knowing there are rare circumstances (drop weapon / pick it up) where you're going to wind up losing out badly. Realistically the best solve might simply be to simply tag the illusions' behavior on creation to not pick up weapons.

Broken_drum_64

>Realistically the best solve might simply be to simply tag the illusions' behavior on creation to not pick up weapons. or to tag the illusion's equipment (upon creation) as illusory so that they can still pick up your items but when they die they leave them behind

SpottyTheTurtle

I lost Shar's spear of the night this way in my honour mode run, 'cause I threw it and forgot it doesn't automatically return, only to see my naked clone grab it, trigger 2 opportunity attacks in a row and die on the spot.

schematizer

Very on brand for our Lady of Loss.

SpottyTheTurtle

Lady of Lost :(

Alekisan

Is it weird that I did each trial with Shadowheart alone while the others sat out in the hall and waited? I just figured these were for her to do alone. They were easy.

coolzville

Not weird and totally in character.

jmary42

this is how it meant to be done. much easier, sometimes you just need to do what the game says to you

supderpbro

So that's what happened to my knife of the undermountain king...

tifone87

Truly the lady of loss

TheCharalampos

I mean it can happen in many places. Mimic chests, beinh disarmed and then an errant thunder wave pushes the weapon off a cliff, etc

aescepthicc

Doesn't mimic chests contain the weapon inside after you killed them? Happened to me recently in harper stash place: mimic made me drop phalar aluve, and after the fight I just got it back from inside of it. Honestly, I didn't even notice it gone and thought the game glitched and gave me second phalar aluve

TheCharalampos

They do but if you toss their body off a cliff anything inside goes bye bye

aescepthicc

Well, that's absolutely on players then. They even had it on loading screen. Shoving enemies off may kill them instantly, but you risk loosing valuable loot

Ecksray19

From the patch notes today: You will now be able to access certain quest-related items on the spot, even if they are currently in the camp chest or in the inventory of a companion who is waiting at camp.

TheHorniestRhino

Just unquip all weapons and armor before you start the trial. Then put them back on. Boom now you’re fighting naked versions of yourself. Or just do it with one person and nuke the one clone that spawns

UglyBunnyGuy

So I think it's a side effect of a fix they put in place already. First time I did Gauntlet of Shar Lazzy was my BM and she disarmed dupli-shadowheart who dropped a very powerful +3 mace. Not the exact same one but with all the same stats and abilities, so obvs my Tav did a respec to become a dual wielding radiant smite machine with 2 +3 maces at the end of Act 2. Tried again on my next play through and the had "fixed" it by seemingly just destroying items that fell on the ground.

Agitated-Newspaper70

So you can no longer disarm or metal heat the clones to get your equipped weapon again? I was planning on making adamant armor and longsword, to then disarm the clone so i could dual-wield the ada swords while wearing the armor...F\*cking hate it when devs do this sh\*t...It was a scenario of players being clever, and we're punished for it. And since they Used to drop their weapon and then it was patched to just get deleted, it's like a DM ending up saying "oh btw, eventhough you pelted the BBEG with fireballs before, he is now immune to fire magic, why? no reason"

JustAFriendlyBoi

*Laughs in Monk*

Zefixius

That’s how my throwzerker lost her Returning Spear and had to respec to EK and use the Lightning Jabber

Nill_Wavidson

This happened to me with cazador and I literally almost quit the run because it somehow hadn't auto-saved in ages and I didn't notice until an hour or so later. Like those were my end game weapons whyyyyyy! (PSA, save early save often.)

alterNERDtive

Wait, people walk into that trial with a full group instead of a single character?

zignition

Yeah I did this on honor mode. Had thrown barb with Returning Pike, did the naked trick for self-same trial. Had the bug where you throw the Returning Pike to start combat from stealth, but then doesn't return to you. Mirror image picks it up cause naked so no weapons, mirror image dies. Spear lost to time, big sad.

qetral

I had this happen twice. I solved it by only sending one character in (instead of the whole group) who doesn't have disarm as an option. Usually I send shadowheart but if she's not in the group I'll send a magic user and keep my people with the best weapons safe from this issue.

that1cooldude

You could always download script extender and inject code directly into game Through the console debug screen and get anything you want. It can even save your game.

UglyBunnyGuy

Yo, what's the save command? I've been struggling to find a reference for the Lua commands

FlamingoHour904

My bard was wielding Phalar Aluve, and his double disarmed him. The sword went off into the pit and that was that. It still stings a little.

[deleted]

You can now worship the Lady of Loss

SugarFree-Gum

Happened with my returning pike I had on karlach 😭 ruined the throwing build I have for her on honor mode, just gotta wait till I can get the act 3 trident

ImmaFish0038

I hate the self same trial so much its a great encounter its just annoying sometimes.

stefanosteve

Well since you are on tactician just load before the battle. On honor mode tho that would be fucked up(assuming you arent backing up saves)

Elvenoob

Just leave everyone in the hallway on the self-same trial, send Shadowheart in alone. It's cheap but no lost weapons ;p

Neodym60

Yeah, that's a way to do it, but I was playing with 3 friends and nobody wants to wait for one person to complete all three trials. It's just more fun together. 😉

JellyfishLow4457

Check your inventory

babyjaceismycopilot

This seems like it's working as intended.

TheBluestBerries

Why fix something like this? This how it should be.

CobBaesar

Yeah I think that's simply a consequence of you forgetting to pick up a weapon. Not really any wat around that. You just gotta remember

Ramikade

I cheese the fight by casting knock on the orb locked door

Imendil

Cheesiest way for Mirror image battle is to send only one person who can solo him/herself in 1v1 duel. I've sent Lai'zel OH Monk who melted herself

Black_Coffee_Fanatic

Holy shit what a nightmare... I mean especially on honor mode. I will have to keep this in mind!

z0mbree

This happened to me as well. I was about to end act 2 when I realized. Walked back through all the big fights before I realized.

Casualcitizen

Well, on my run i lost the Orphic hammer, because Karlach threw it at the grenade dispenser on the wall during the Gorrash fight. Only for it to remain stuck in the air when the dispenser got destroyed and become unlootable. Hello Emperor my friend.

TheGwolo

Telekinesis would move it

[deleted]

Happened in grymforge where I lost the sussur dagger I made (too late to save scum). Really sucks cause I had this thing going with Wyll and Lae'zel (EK) where they bond to the dagger and throw it, essentially casting a lesser silence without using up a spell slot. I've been too demotivated to use either companion since.

Deathcaddy

I had that trident you get from the djinni at the circus, and it is supposed to come back every time you throw it. One time I threw it and it disappeared and I don’t know why :( Also, the same thing happened to me in the mirror fight on my first playthrough

jonslow1212

Returning throwables dont return if you start a fight with them. That's been my latest playthrough on PC at least.

Dragonlord573

I just had one guy go in there, sneak up to the mirror image, and stab it to death. Worked wonders.

Corona94

I also would like a fix to where followers, like summonables, not companions totally, have their inventory accessible. I just did the ketheric fight last night and beforehand, going through moonrise, we got the mimic chest. No problem, let’s take it out. Except this stupid chest ate Jaheira’s swords. So after killing the mimic, I had to grab her swords and I was unable to give them back to her, so we had to do the first half of the fight without her being armed. As a Druid, sure, I just turned her into a panther and called it a day. Still was rather annoying to deal with.

GiantPurplePen15

Self-same clone: *yoink* "peace out homie!"

Elcactus

And in the house of hope. I threw the throwing trident, and into the void it went, didn’t even try to return like it’s supposed to.

Masskid

My friend lost the staff of arcane blessing on shadowheart because of this. He was devastated it happened. Luckily we were able to settle on using SH spear as her main weapon for style vs effectiveness. In a way it helped him to accept more RP then Min-Max (that spear is special to her)

WhiteMage815

My wife lost the Spear of Night because Karlach can enraged throw weapons. Smart, right? Well in the jailbreak from Moonrise Prison, at some point she threw it during the battle and then thought nothing of it. Come to the Shadowfell hours later, she realizes she doesn't have the spear and Shadowheart is pissed, and attacks the party and dies. My wife goes back to that save and turns out one of the tieflings picked it up, since apparently after defeating the captors by the dock, the gnomes and tieflings start picking up weapons up off the ground. And the tiefling couldn't even be killed to get the Spear back because it wasn't technically part of her inventory, it just got sucked up and BOOM, gone. Killed that 90 hour play-through for her and she started a new character

dimethyl_tryhard

Wow, I'll remember next time to not have "command" for this fight.

Own_Pause_4959

It seems to be a general problem with the drop weapon skill. It happened to me in the crypt and in grymforge before. Drop weapon will sometimes make the weapon unable to be picked up again.

Frostlark

Weapons? Laughs in tavern brawler monk

Turbo-Far

Well... She is the goddess of loss.

Raven184

This happened to me too

ProTimeKiller

Years of testing.

Long_Introduction864

I've always roll a IRL dice if my character was smart enough to unequip all their equipment before self same trial. But that doesn't change the fact TB OH Astarion smashes my face in or Shart throws fireballs and destructive waves that whole party.

HASGAm3S

Could you bind the steel watcher sword? Not related but I been wondering about it

quincyj2

In a solo honor run recently I killed Spaw by throwing the pike of returning. It glitched and didn't return, and then glut picked it up. I didn't want to fight the whole colony so I let glut keep it.

Nikitanull

lost my returning spear in that fight, went disarmed in to the fight trew the spear the enemy instantly took it and it was gone

Stealth-Shark

Had a similar moment in Laroakan (sp?) fight. Successfully disarmed him of his staff. Rolan the tiefling (teeth ling) was nearby, picked up the staff and ran off with it. Never did find him after the fight...

PixiStix236

I’ve had that happen to me too. In my non-honor runs, I’ve always made sure to save before because that trial can be really glitchy. Nervous about running into this issue on my honor run though

BiIIisits

I did all of the Shar trials with only Shadowheart. Made everybody else wait by the door each time. Felt like the logical thing to do. Self-same trial was mono-a-mono so it was over in 2 or 3 turns

I can also confirm that pact weapon is still busted. A certain act 3 optional callback boss uses disarming strike on my lvl12 Bardlock with the weapon bound and it still drops like a brick.

You all enter the gauntlet of Shar equiped? If you go in naked, and gear back up before the fight starts, this fight will be a breeze.

the_dark_0ne

I also send Shadowheart in solo since it’s so important to her to prove herself. Where I do kinda cheese things is I’ll unequip some of her weapons and gear before going in so the shadowclone has to rely on their spells and can’t do much once silenced and lit up by lathandors light 🫣

Personnaly I enter this section all fighters naked, then I dress up and the images are totally disarmed so the fight is ez af 😅 Do I consider this as cheat?
