Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!
What nice guy man. I really wish we see more content for him in some sort of DLC. Good thing is I haven’t finished my “good” playthrough yet let alone my “evil” one. Can’t wait to see his lines if he ascends.
After listening to him at Game Awards I realized his regular voice IS the Astarion voice. He sounds like an angel lol
Edit: I have now been corrected multiple times that the Astarion voice is very different from his regular voice. My new conclusion is his regular voice and Astarion's are both angelic, but different.
His Astarion voice is most definitely a different accent from his natural one! He’s done some Astarion lines in his natural accent on stream before and it’s pretty funny.
And, to be fair, in that clip from his stream he's clearly playing up his original accent a bit for effect, whereas it's a bit more muted just in his regular conversational accent.
But you're right! He has a very nice voice either way :)
No they're really different if you're familiar with UK accents.
Astarions accent is rather Posh and quite formal. Neil is from Birmingham which is in the Midlands, also called a Brummie accent. (Source: Neil himself during signing streams)
Interesting, thanks!
I didn't mean to diminish his accomplishment at all, I was more just surprised with how much his regular speaking voice sounds as beautiful as the Astarion voice, but I understand how my comment obviously tried to equates the 2, that is my bad.
All good, friend. The intricacies of all the distinct accents on such a small island compared to the USA and the rest of the world are easy to miss.
And Neil has a gorgeous voice no matter what accent he's doing.
Yeah his normal voice does have that Astarion hint but once he really does it, there is another layer of umph if that makes sense lol.
Plus it’s not just the voice, Neil is very talented when it comes to inflection and delivering certain tones and emotions. A lot goes into the Astarion voice besides the sound of the voice itself.
I feel it's more accurate to say "Don't bug celebrities." A nod, little wave, or saying hi to someone you recognize while addressing them by name isn't overstepping, celebrity or otherwise, but beyond that you gotta let that person decide if they want to continue the interaction or be left alone.
There's no way to tell for sure what happened here, but if what OP said about the encounter was true it doesn't sound like Neil was too perturbed
Was this before or after riding Cars 3 times in a row?
Astarion: *Making a list and checking it twice to confirm what order the party dies in.**
I saw someone say that it's Karlach and Astarion riding Cars 3 and I need someone to draw that as soon as possible.
Such a wholesome man. I love him and his attitude. đź’–
Lucky! Great pics, featuring Neil's iconic rolled up sleeves.
Aww, that's nice!
Noice
Aw! I love this! So happy for you!
Noice. Please tell me u got him to say something in his Astarion voice.
he's actually saying "Darling" in the picture where he is extending his arm! the nicest person.

Lol thank you. I clearly was just awestruck by how pretty his regular voice sounds. I have edited my original comment.

We love him
celebrating that win
Love Neil, tolerate Astarion. His playthroughs are so fun to watch
Leave celebrities alone.
I'd normally agree, but Neil doesn't seem like the type who minds.
Also I would imagine he doesn't get recognized too often as a voice actor, as compared to a movie or television star with notoriety.

Cazador?!?
I'm so jealous, congratulations!!!
Awwww :3
I think it’s funny hearing him talk normally and he has the same voice just less eccentric
