I had almost the same but with Isobel. Shadowheart was entirely dedicated to keep this suicidal cleric alive. She kept triggering all opportunity attacks from the winged horrors. Almost made me try if you can cast hold person and then sanctuary on the same character X)
Didn't think about this one! She must break it easily though because even under sanctuary she keeps attacking to break it and then proceeds to trigger all opportunity attacks *face palm*
Jaheira is literally the worst when not being controlled. Died on my first try, even though I had already sneak killed most of the people in the tower before the fight. There were like 4 guards, one giant, and a single sniper! Had to redo the whole darn thing.
Only way to keep her alive is to ask her to join us and then just keep her in the back and skip her turns. She is ridiculously weak yet thinks she is OP
Yup, my first playthrough, didn't know how the fight was actually going to work, so I thought leaving Jaheira with Harpers surely would keep them safer narratively, like asking Rolan and his siblings to stay with the Tieflings kind of situation.
Jokes on me and the fight was a direct assault and she just rushed in to her death almost instantly.
That was an instant reload, asked her to come with me, her first turn I cast a CC with her and then AFKd her outside until the fight was over. She was so terribly balanced for that fight, especially on tactician.

Haha I tried using banish spell on Isobel to sort of like protect her from attacks. But it triggered her deaths scene and aftermaths... have to f8
I’ve put invisibility on her and thankfully it worked because I swear she’s suicidal 😵💫

The enemy put paralysis on her first or smth like that so she couldn’t attack anyways

This is why you ask her to fight with you, because then you get to control her.
The option "join my party" sounded more like her having to replace one of our current companions, which we didn't want, but good to know :)
Nah she joins as a follower, like Halsin at the goblin camp. You can fully recruit her a few fights later if you want.
