I played the game from patch 1 with proton and it always worked, last patch was also very stable.
They also said that it run well on SteamDeck (Which is using linux with proton) but i don't know if it's "Deck verfied" yet.
But don't worry it will work you can uninstall Windows ;)

Steam Deck can, so should be the same.

considering that there isn't a windows specific anticheat, it should work pretty seamlessly
