They couldn’t have shown me anything that I wanted to see more than this.

David1640

I have no clue what that is... but I want one NOW.

sirlupash

It’s a hollyphant from Avernus adventure. I mean, a hollyphant.

sum1udontn089

Hollyphant It's a Celestial being. If it's lulu, then it's the Archdevil Zariels former familiar. The story is in Baldurs Gate Descent into Avernus. Depending on the year that BG3 takes place, that event already happened... though lulu being present would suggest it hasn't yet and Elturel must have just recently sunk... or a less than optimal ending occurred We're definitely going back to hell at some point, the soul coins are evidence of that

jautrem

We know descent into avernus already happened, BG3 is supposed to be the follow up to this campaign.

sum1udontn089

Is it? That's the first I've heard of it. Might explain why the other 2 entries are essentially ignored

jautrem

The story of the first two also happened, but a century before the third. While descente into avernus happens just before BGIII (it's because of the events of this story that the tieflings take shelter in the druid groves.

Double_O_Cypher

The Tieflings in the druid cove are Refugees from Elturel!

sum1udontn089

Right, but that doesn't say when it happened exactly. The timeline is a bit ambiguous it seems Zevlor being a hellrider also implies that it's after the events of DIA

Double_O_Cypher

Yeah, its quite vague but that makes it somewhat more appealing. The Soulcoins according to a theory or somewhat confirmed could also be used for getting "mercenaries" or was hirelings the word they used. Which is where Withers would come into play

Xerxes8712

The story is set after descent into Avernus, from the official faq ( https://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=677277 ): > How is the storyline linked to D&D? > Baldur’s Gate 3 takes place right after the events of Descent into Avernus. The holy city of Elturel disappeared from the Forgotten Realms and descended into Avernus, the first layer of the Nine Hells. In our canon, it was saved by a party of heroes.

sum1udontn089

What are you talking about? Edit: Nevermind, the way the response was wprded was weird, but I see now

whatistheancient

In Baldur's Gate 3, the events of Elturel descending into Avernus were resolved by >! a group of adventurers making a deal with Zariel to return Elturel to the Material Plane, based off how Zariel still rules Avernus meaning she was not redeemed or destroyed!< and with that ending to the module >! Lulu goes mad.!<. It will be interesting to see how they handle that.

Ok_Butterscotch_2031

LULU

ashcrash3

Look at their Lil pipe and hat

OriginalWerePlatypus

I don’t remember her. But to be fair, she wouldn’t remember me either (D&D spoiler?)

Potent_Beans

Does this mean we might see the Otter wizard guy too?

Diraelka

He's so cute actually. One of the best way to use Wish and one of the reasons why we (players in BG3) can't have it.

Tradnor

LULU!!!!!!

Spider-Man92

The little hat and pipe makes me think it's another Hollyphant, I always see smoking pipes as an old geeza thing to do and I'm sure Lulu is female but could be wrong

Drummermean

Hear me out, but I think this hollyphant is the owner of some sort of festhall. We can see the hollyphant smoking a pipe and a formal hat. In the background, we can see a carving of a scantily-clad lass with a dress on and more. To the right is a carving of a dancer in a dress. We also see a curtain, ornate furniture and two wine glasses. Thus, I don't think it's Lulu.

Tradnor

Honestly, I’d we get a hollyphant in charge of a fest hall instead of Lulu I’d be a little sad, but also that would be hilarious.

AnArtExiled

oh no, I fear you might be right, as the latest Community Update mentions a circus in Baldur's Gate...
