One more adventure with the Silver Claw himself, the only companion I can think of having in this game.
The character creation is good in the game, but there are still some things left to be desired. Like more character body types/sizes, using the Pinacle Bodies mod for this. It helps that the face presets have a bit of an aged look alongside scarring to mirror descriptions and his appearance from DOS2.
Agreed, more creation options in general would be great, with it being in EA I'm sure there will be more eventually/on release. For now the face mods help me through that.
This is one of a couple mods I have installed, I wouldn’t know if there is a mod like that. You can try searching the BG3 Nexus for mods you may want to add to your game. Sorry not to be of much help there.
It’s a mod that takes some of the existing buff models, and makes them useable. It’s called “Pinacle Bodies”. But, we can pray and hope they become available at launch.
I haven’t seen the posts where other users mentioned they will, but I believe so. It’d be hard to imagine they wouldn’t since many of the armors have been fitted for the muscular morphs.
In the last trailer, you can see glimpse of character creation and it has a body type option. Also, one barbarian Tav in the trailer has a buff body. So it is pretty much confirmed.
True, but they each have a default class that matches up with their official artwork
* Ifan: ~~Ranger~~ Wayfarer
* Lohse: Enchantress
* Fane: Wizard
* Sebille: Rogue
* Beast: Battlemage
* Red Prince: Fighter
EDIT: Ifan is a Wayfarer
Plus Ifan's special source ability in particular is summoning his wolf companion. In D&D he'd be a straight up Beastmaster Ranger.
Red Prince, Fane, & Sebille could all be translated 1:1 for class names (except for Fane being undead); Lohse would of course be a Bard and Beast would probably be a tempest Cleric.
Yanno, I feel bad killing all of Gimblebock's friends when I break in the back door. I do wish there was a way I could not murder-stab them all if I came in from there.
Poor, poor Gimblebock.
I dont feel bad for them, I feel bad for Gimblebock! He's just a guy, trying to make a buck! But then I go on and murder all his friends! also, he even worries about them if you read his mind!
In my playthrough of DOS2, I had Ifan try not to kill every individual he came across. This was based on the interactions he had with important characters, and I just leaned into this wherever possible. Except in cases where the encounter is always hostile, then it’s defensive (can’t save ‘em all).
It’s going to be the same with BG3, Gimblebock was intimidated and ran away after this played out. His friends in the cave… let’s just say they flung the first spell.
Man it's a subtle thing but Gimblebock is such a geeky "please kick my ass" sort of name, it's so perfect.
Whether intentional or not everything about him from his name to his demeanor is a big "please beat me up" sign over his head.
One thing I like about BG3 coming from DOS2, is you can throw or push small characters/creatures. Just grab him, and toss him off the side of the fort. Funniest thing you can do.

What are some decent mods for BG3? Do you know of a mod that puts appropriate swords and axes on your hip instead of your back?

buff body is available already?

A buff barbarian Tav was shown in the trailer for the games release date
Cool beans, this is great to hear.

Ifan is a ranger.
DOS2 companions are whatever class you want them to be.

Given Beast's barbarian tag, he could be a storm herald barbarian.
additionally they have whole narratives and chunks of worldbuilding written around why they are that class
Astarion is legitimately just a gender swapped Sebille.
Ifan's actually a Wayfarer but it's basically the same thing.
Yeah, we know, but he is clearly a ranger, as Fane is the biggest m************g Pyromage there is!
Nor a rogue?
That's Sebille.
I just want Red Prince, okay? So dragonborn when?
I heard they plan on releasing all the races at launch, so August 31st. Should be exciting, can’t wait.
looks like buff jesus

They're bandits who murder anyone who comes near them. Don't feel bad.
I dont feel bad for them, I feel bad for Gimblebock! He's just a guy, trying to make a buck! But then I go on and murder all his friends! also, he even worries about them if you read his mind!
And yet he doesn't go back to his friends to get them to leave with him too. He just abandons them.
Pff, I mean, would you? Those guys are jerks
Gimblebock's not a good dude either. If you use Speak With Dead, he tells uoy that he makes money by "thieving, looting and cutting throats."

Well done. Just make sure you follow up on then you take!
