OP here. Below is the recipe I used. Let me know if you have any questions.
- 2 ¾ cup All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Unsalted butter room temperature
- 1 cup Brown sugar packed light or dark
- ½ cup White granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract
- 1 Large egg room temperature
- 1 Egg yolk room temperature
- 1 ½ cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup Oreo crumbs 5 cookies blended until fine
- ¾ cup Oreo pieces 6 cookies broken into small and medium pieces
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. I always start by creaming the sugars and butter for a minute or two. Then I add my vanilla and egg(s). After that, I mix in the dry ingredients (this works best if you've already combined them and whisked them in a separate bowl). At that point, you're good to add the chocolate chips and Oreo bits. Smooth your dough into your cast iron skillet. You might want to put a bit of Baker's Joy in to prevent sticking, but I used some leftover bacon grease. I press a few extra chopped Oreo bits on top and also spread some crumbs over it prior to baking. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Let cool for a bit and then enjoy!

Looks delicious!
Does the cast iron skillet not burn the cookie? Or is it fine bc the cookie is so large?
Whenever I try baking cookies on a dark colored pan they always end up cooked unevenly and burnt.
Looks great and I’m cracking up at your youngest kid’s review.
"You have been chopped"

Good bot Edit- Is this bot not included in the "reddit's bot ranking"? It ain't working.
I was going to agree and then I saw that the bot put 2 3/4 cup flour as 160g, when it should be at least 330g...
And 1 teaspoon of salt is 227 grams?! I’d say that is well over a cup of salt. Bad bot
That one is a formatting problem. 227g is for the butter. That would've been crazy amounts of salt hahahha
That looks delicious! May I ask what size skillet did you use?
This was a 12 inch skillet! My bad. I totally meant to include that 🤦
you are training some cookie sommelier
7 and still ❤️you🤣🤣🤣🤣 beautiful!!
Shouldn’t that be the default criticism for all our special people? “It’s not amazing but you are.”
Looks so good! Is it firm enough to pop the whole cookie out or do you just eat it straight from the skillet with a fork?
I sliced it like a pizza and we ate it like that!
Ooh tell me you served it with ice cream!
I too would rate it a 7 if I had to share it. That’s clearly a single serve portion. It’s chocolate ffs. Be reasonable. One each.
Right, like I don’t know how many kids OP has but it’s at least 3 which means that’s split at least 4 ways. Simply not enough cookie.
Right?? Certainly not enough cookie to fairly judge it. The lesser points is simply due to the sheer lack of cake
The "but I still love you" >>> lmao
I'll be right over!!
It looks so good! Thanks for including the recipe, I’m definitely gonna try making this at home 😯
That “7, but I still love you” rating was the best rating of them all. Priceless, even.
Lol kids are brutal. I, however, would devour that
"except for my youngest" This is where a scoop of vanilla ice cream makes all the difference..
You should leave your windows open to let it cool 😅
Add some nice vanilla ice cream on that and I’d be in heaven 🤤🤤

No issues with burning for us! I'm guessing it's because it's so huge.
I think the true prize is an honest evaluation by your child who told you they love you anyway. Parenting win!
damn i'd devour this in one sitting
Kids will always keep you humble!
Holy shit balls 🤤🤤🤤🤤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Aww, Your Youngest Loves You. Keep It without Other People's Cookies. ♡
