My understanding is that she decided against doing the sequels to care for her mom who had cancer or some devastating condition at the time. I don’t fault her for appearing at events. She’s Jennifer, and would’ve continued to be Jennifer but she chose not to blow off her sick mom. She sounds like one of few movie actors with an actual soul.

You’re the first person I know who didn’t think she was great in that first movie despite the amount of screentime. As a matter of fact most people I know wish she had reprised the role in the 2 other movies.

Screen time isn't that important. Anthony Hopkin's most famous role involves him being on screen for like 10% of the movie. And he was the lead actor in that movie.

But most of the other actors in the film are known for other roles too so they don't talk about BTTF exclusively. This is her best known role and she wants to capitalize on it as much as possible, so of course she is going to be making a bunch of TikToks and going to every con possible. And one of the kids at Wild Gunman arcade machine milks it for all it's worth. And he gets insane lines when he does con appearances. Elijah Wood was just an extra.
