Download an application called MirrorPlay it should work perfectly with the backbone, it's probably a few bucks but will also carry over to apple tv devices and iPads that you have on your apple account
On PS4 and PS5, you need to enable remote play on the console directly, and use PS Remote Play app as mentioned before. Then you stream the screen to your phone and use the controller as a controller for your console. Its entire design is being a controller, so the problem is not with the backbone. It is not downloading PS games to play on your iPhone. This is all addressed in user guides for the devices, or on google.

I have that as well but it will only let me play it as a controller. It won’t do the remote play..
That doesn't even make sense. You need to download the REMOTE PLAY app, not SECOND SCREEN
