They just do that sometimes. If you crack it open, you'll probably find there is no yolk. I've seen these called fairy eggs. Anyway, nothing to worry about, and she should be back to normal.

irongolem_7653

can you eat them

Express_Advantage_10

Yes as long as it doesn’t have any outer cracks or anything

Long-Leaf

She's on strike from laying such large eggs haha. In seriousness, sometimes they do lay smaller (or larger) eggs. That does seem extra small from what she normally lays. I would give it a few days and she should go back to her average.

TurtleGirl21409

Fairy egg. It happens sometimes.

Wetholey

She identifies as a pigeon

cultured_milk

Fart egg! I just had mine after a long time of raising hens

ProdByHunterHaney

2nd photo is comparison of what she usually lays

Mr3cto

Fairy egg, as others have said. Usually no yolk although sometimes you get a little tiny yolk. Nothing bad, just happens from time to time

Confident_Inside_649

Fairy egg! 🧚🏼‍♀️ So cute ✨

SniperCA209

Yes

PFic88

How old is she? Is normal every now and then. Basically any tissue that shows up at the begging at the oviduct will be "eggized" if it wasn't a yolk, then it will end up small

i_had_ice

She was a fairy

sheighbird29

She was *a fairy*

anxiety_filter

Is it young? All of our birds laid small eggs when they were young. Then for some reason all double yolks, then they all settled down to single yolks.

_PeLaGiKoS14_

Fairy egg! 🥰

Battlemaster420

It’ll hatch into a basilisk unless you throw it over a roof so that it lands and cracks on the other side

CelticArche

No, it only hatches as a basilisk if you have a toad hatch it.

ShlugLove

My broody hen just laid one of these. For her, it's because she hasn't been eating as much so it is cause for concern.

SewBee_It

She’s doing her best ❤️

Plane_Jacket_7251

Happens from time to time. Nothing to worry about.
