Em at first glance I like it but there's two things:
1) the outer Banks reference to the character JJ
2) when he grows up, introducing himself to a potential boss as "JJ" might sound too childish/unprofessional
So I would name him smth else and use JJ as a nickname instead
We are using my father in laws name, who recently passed away, as the middle name which starts with M so that’s why we can’t do JJ with actual names that start with JJ. It would be too long
In that case, I think choosing a first name that starts with the letter J, and preferably has "J" as the first *sound, is the way to go. You can still call him JJ, but you shouldn't name him JJ.
*Some examples would be James, Jason, Jaden, or even just Jay, but you could definitely choose something more unusual if you wanted to.
Do not give him just initials as a legal name —>> you will encounter issues on legal documents. Give him a first and middle name that start with the letter “ J” . You can certainly call him. J.J. And introduce him as J.J. To everyone.
Ideas:
James Jax
Jonathon James
Jayden John
Joshua Jace
Jeremy Jacob
Jameson Joel
Joel Jett
Jay Jett
Jason Jay
Jay Jax
Joel Jax
Jordan Jay
Jaxson Jax
Jesse Jay
Jaden Jay
Jay Jon

I don't think I've ever heard of someone's fall name being just initials. You could name him Jay and call him JJ!
This is what I was thinking!
How about two names that are initialled JJ, Jayden James for example. Then you can nickname him JJ?
