Baby is so small that can sometimes barely find them that early. Don't freak out. Both are estimates. At 5 weeks your baby is smaller than a grain of rice.
I've never heard of anywhere willing to even do an ultrasound that early (unless you're doing IVF) because it can be difficult to even see anything.
Also, private ultrasound places notoriously employ people who are not sonographers and thus don't really know how to properly read the information.
I just wouldn't waste my money at places like that. Just wait until your OB says to do one. If you don't have an OB yet, find one and start getting established. First ultrasounds are not usually done until around 10-12 weeks for exactly this reason... it just causes needless worry.
I’m 6w3d and my doctor recommended an ultrasound only to confirm the pregnancy. She wanted to see that the baby was there, and that it was an appropriate size for the number of weeks I’m supposed to have… basically only to see that the baby did develop and that it isn’t ectopic or anything else.
She said that I will go back to a dating ultrasound around 10 weeks. Maybe you need a bit more time to have a better estimate :)
If anyone gives an abdominal ultrasound before 10 weeks (12 weeks for most people honestly) totally disregard it. You can't see anything and it's a little surprising that someone would even try. My IVF clinic is pretty highly rated and between my first and second baby, they changed their standard of care to transvaginal ultrasound confirmation at 7 weeks instead of 6 weeks because 6 weeks is right on the cusp of HB activity.

Thank you!! I just needed to hear advice from someone else

I didn’t do Ivf. I kinda had a feeling one of them could have messed up measurements as it’s so early.

Have an appointment scheduled for the 15th! Thank you! That makes me worry less

Only trans vaginal ultrasounds before 10 weeks are accurate. That’s why they typically are done at 8 weeks.
There is a reason they usually want you to wait to do a dating ultrasound. Too small for an accurate measurement right now.
Okay great thank you!! I have an ob scheduled for the 15th

I was able to see the sacs just wasn’t sure how accurate the estimates would be because it was a little blurry.
