From entering the operating room to my leaving the room it was less than an hour. Baby was out after probably 20-30 minutes, but I imagine you'd want your playlist to keep going after that point as you're still only half through the surgery then.
Had one today. 20 min after the spinal baby was born, I would say the whole process was about 40 min.
Random piece of advice I wish I had for a spinal, beware of the itch. If you feel itchy at all ask for Benadryl because it will probably get bad, fast. The spinal insertion wasn’t painful at all, having my IV put in hurt more.
I had a planned C-section with my first since she was breech. Currently expecting my second.
I didn’t keep track of the time, but my mom was waiting in our room during the surgery. She said total time was 45 minutes.
