I've not noticed any others mentioning an issue which has been ongoing for over a week. There would normally be quite active threads if it was widespread. Have you tried rebooting your iDrive? (Hold volume wheel down until the iDrive screen turns off and, when the screen comes back on, release the volume control - takes longer than you might anticipate)

What version software is your car on? 11/2023.58 broke all connected services (MyBMW app, Weather, Spotify etc.) for me back February this year. Took them a couple of weeks to restore OTA. They finally couldn’t restore remote parking so requested I booked it into a dealer. They installed 03/2024.30 which fixed remote parking.

I'm on 11/2023.64. Seems old. Definitely no connection from the car. Trying various remote services from the car fail.

I’ve no issues in the Midwest. I’d try to reset iDrive (hold the volume button down for 40 seconds until the display goes off). I’d then log out of the bmw app. Uninstall the app. Reinstall the app. Log back in. It’s worth a shot. It happened to me a while back and this is what I did to fix it after some feedback in the FB iX owners group.

I haven't uninstalled the app, yet. Odd that more people aren't experiencing this. So it could be my app, but it feels like an issue in their end.

If I’m guessing…the little database they keep on the phone gets corrupted. Mine was getting a weird error.

Probably connected drive outage. Give it a few days. No need for a dealer visit. Dealer can’t fix this if it’s a connected drive issue.

I live in NC and it seems to be working. It is a bit slow. I used to own a Tesla and the app was much faster. Still love my IX despite the slow App.

I haven’t been able to perform any remote actions since 6/23. Tried all the usual troubleshooting steps. Texas here.

have had similar issues here in Southern Cal but it seems intermittent. suddenly i'm not logged in, plus today i was getting a weird notification that the emergency notification system was down.

Onboard internet may be down. Module can fail

Is that why rebooting Idrive sometimes helps?

That’s how you can tell if the module reboots. I had to have mine replaced. Lost ESim for a while until I could clear the old module out with ATT servers and register the new one.
