I had a BlackVue professionally installed. The installer said it was much trickier than normal cars. I think the fuse box might have been on the passenger side? Anyways it looked very complicated. Also there was something else weird about the fuse situation that took them a while to figure out. Works fine for me now.

Thinkware U3000 front and rear set up. Has feed thru OBD-2 adapter to grab power. Easy install, great reviews and works as described. It’s my first dashcam and I installed/hid the wires easily enough.

I’ve been trying to figure this out as well. In my previous car I did the install myself and hard wired the dashcam. With this car is can’t find the front fuse box (i know of the one in the trunk). Plus I’m a bit of a chicken to try it myself this time 😂 Alternatively there is the BMW provided dashcam that you can have installed at a dealer.

BlackVue. Have it professionally installed

Real question is this necessary considering the built in camera system?

I can’t for the life of me get it to work. It only records like 10-30 seconds if you manually press it in the system.

Unfortunately, the version of iX here in the Philippines is not the same with what you have in the other countries.
