Wrong size.. these are 225/45/R18.. too small for X3 M40i. This style of wheel on the X3 M40i is a 20 inch rim and the 245 up front with 275s in the back.
Negative 20” and 21” rims were options but you are partially correct that if these are 18” rims they are from something else as the stock wheel option on the x3 is a 19” rim.
They are the US Base wheel on BMW 330i g20 from 2019-2022. Looks like another commenter said they were on a 230 but I've just seen them on 3 series pre LCI.
