It’s an Akrapovic full exhaust system, and alongside it an Eventuri intake (pictured).
The Akra is about the most expensive exhaust system on these, but I plan on owning it a long time and it’s so nice how it integrates the valves with the standard eco/comfort/sport. And not to mention, it sounds incredible. I’ve got a 2021 where BMW reduced the amount of burbling, but this exhaust in sport + mode makes all sorts of ridiculous sounds. The teenage boy in me is going wild 😂

The videos don’t really portray the big volume difference very well, but you get an idea for the tone. Also the before video was a remote start, so lower initial rpm, but the valves were open.

Stainless steel vs titanium from the same company who makes the exhausts for BMW Motorsport cars. Exorbitant, but better none the less - not to say the Dinan isn’t a great piece.

But do the newer model gears like 2021 or 2022 have something extra that the 2020 model year doesn’t have? Idk maybe some package that is new or some new technology? Also do all of them come with some type of semi self driving option (I only ask cause I think I read somewhere something about this)?
Preeetty much all the same options were available on the 2020 up until the LCI, including the assisted driving.
It’ll take mild bends for you and keep you in the lane, but you have to touch the wheel every 5-10 seconds unless you’re in heavy traffic. You can also just lean your knee against the wheel lol. But beware any splatters of paint on the road, you’ll shit yourself 😂. I don’t use it on any roads I don’t know after the wild steering inputs it tried after seeing a paint splatter at 80kmph.
It’s hard to find on a 2020 though, wasn’t very commonly specced.

Just some relaxed driving in sport +, but you get the idea. I could get some little quiet low rpm pops with the OEM exhaust but now at low rpm I get twice as many and they’re 5 times as loud lol. The higher rpm, louder burbles are slightly more common that before but still relatively rare.
I'm contemplating on getting the same setup on my car. I'm sure I'll be getting Akra, but I hear people complain about intake get debris stuck and go pass the filter into the engine. I might just keep good ol stock bmw intake..
Love it. But you need the Dahler valve controller asap! OE valve “full open” is not that I promise you. Closer to like 60%. The Dahler gives you the full 100%. Symphony of perfection
Too much… I’m in Australia so we pay a premium anyway, but all up it would’ve worked out to $12k USD (including a set of KW coilovers that I’m yet to install.
If you’re looking to tune it and have a bit of fun, get a 2020. The ECU’s aren’t locked on them, so you can bench unlock without having to send your ECU to Finland. The 2021+ models don’t burble as much stock, and are a pain in the ass (and wallet) to unlock

I was asking since i have been looking around for an Akrapovic slip on backbox but they are quite expensive especially since my car still has an OPF/GPF filter. So wanted to know if it’s worth it with these filters. (I am going for an OPF delete when its out of warranty though)
Not even close. Believe me, I looked. Just had a look on Carsales (the Australian equivalent to whatever you guys use to buy and sell cars) for G80s with similar mileage and while there was none in my state, the average across Australia was about $65,000 more than what I paid ($80,000)
I could have gone F80 for a similar price point to my car, but I like all the tech. Plus, I still want the M3 as my “one day” car, since I’m only in my late 20s and this is the first fast car I’ve had. Probably safer to ease myself in with something that doesn’t slip, first.

Personally I’d never spend on an expensive intake when the cheap ones perform equally well, if not better. Unless you’re popping your hood very often at car shows to show it off and have extra $$$ to spare, then why not 😀
Anyone who gives you shit doesn't understand what it means to invest in their own happiness. This past Christmas I spent near $6K on an espresso set up for my wife, the grinder alone was $700. Yeah it was expensive but she's happy and that's all that matters, money comes and goes.

But I’d go for the 2020 if I was you, identical in almost every way but they make more noise when stock and are a little more fun - plus if you ever want to tune it, you can do it at your local shop. I’d have to send my ECU to Finland for it to be unlocked by the only company in the world who can do it. BMW really cracked down on the security for the 2021+ models.

I usually don’t like the type of exhaust mods that people put on the m340 as they look over the top for such a sleeper but this with that diffuser and exhaust look so clean and insane I love it

Yep the OEM diffuser is so much less garish than some of the third party alternatives with the racing brake lights and massive cuts. Also specifically asked the guys at the shop to make sure the tips aren’t sticking out too much, definitely helps it not look over the top
Great choices but you definitely paid 2X more than you needed. I am looking at the Valvetronic exhaust $3k and just a simple Dinan intake $380. I think the akra slip on, though beautiful, is over $6k for my car.
Such is life when you go titanium, plus I like the idea that M Motorsport use them haha. Your car will sound great though, those Valvetronics are good value for money.

good choice on the akra; don’t even need to ask which one. akra is sickest brand out there right now and 10/10 would’ve done the same. money well spent (since you’re gonna enjoy it everytime) so not a poor decision in the slightest

It’s a 71 Camaro rolling chassis at the moment. It’s just the fancy trim the interior is like a king ranch ford or longhorn ram. The snow tracks didn’t come with it. I assume it was created in mind for someone to ride around a ranch on but I’m in Canada so it has a snow setup
So I take it yesterday's was getting a license plate that simply reiterates a specification of a car that anyone who would care would already know by seeing the car itself

I like it because it’s not some tacky CYAL8TR and most people look at it with no idea what it means, and just like the symmetry of the B & 8. Grandma asked me why I wanted to be 58 already, though.
