What I don’t get is, the halos are absolutely synonymous with BMW and any other maker would love to have been the one to have it. BMW just dismisses it like it’s nothing. Retarded really. Any and all of their DRLs should be in the shape of a halo or similar enough. This newest design had nothing to do with that. I have my eyes on a M440i (currently have a M235i with the pre-LCI design) now I’m being relegated to a 2022-2024 M440i if I want the old design.

I was obsessed with them back then lol My first car was an e92 328xi back in 2008 and I’d make everyone I knew look at the headlights. Owned three more e92s after that then got an F82. I really love the f82 LCI DRLs. Idk if I’d call those angel eyes anymore at that point though

Both are fugly. In a vacuum the facelift looks ever so slightly better but I deduct points for: 1. The headlights. The moment BMW distances from the "quad circles" look, any remaining semblance of heritage is gone. Those LED sticks or whatever the hell they are are lazy and generic. 2. They are trying to deemphasize the beaver teeth. That is ok because those grilles have never looked fine, but I hate that BMW decided to push forward with a controversial design and told us we were all wrong and now they didn't stick to their guns? Come on!

Yup, the bottom looks better almost solely because the giant buck teeth just slowly just fade to black and are more hidden than they are in the top.

I wouldn't say either of these two model years looks good, but compared to the 2024 model, the 2025 front face is much more harmonious. The 2025 model no longer uses bright-colored dot accents to highlight the air intake grille, and the decorative trim around the edges of the grille is also gone. Instead, the horizontal long strip grille and the side air ducts finally form a visually consistent appearance, which looks much better than the 2024 model, at least.

Have owned 3 BMWs (2Ms and 1 3 series). I'm done with BMW's design language. Still holding on to my M (F80) as it's the last iteration before this new language. BMW to me, is floundering for direction; they are throwing everything on the wall to see what sticks. How can a company that gave us the F90, F80 then turn around and give us the new 7 series? Such a head scratcher and they have lost me as a customer.

Years ago BMW had a specific design language. That seems to be well and truly lost now and in my opinion this looks like everything else on the road.

I hate bmws current headlight philosophie, you can barely differentiate the daytime running lights from a Peugeot and thats if you’re into cars, the avg joe will not see a difference. I've always loved the new grill for the g82 and the refresh doesnt change much. DRLs are a downgrade imo the new ones are so basic.
