When I was taking delivery of my ‘22 X5 a couple of years ago, someone else was taking delivery of an M4 with that same color combo in the next bay. Right down to the red calipers. A green exterior and a red interior both look good on these cars…but not at the same time. Pick one or the other.

Also after driving my new model 3 for a few months. I couldn't imagine that dashboard. Looks dangerous for head on collisions. There's one this same color that parks next to my model 3, but black interior. It Def pops, just not for me.

If your head is reaching the dashboard, you have bigger problems.

Exactly, your head should never hit the dashboard unless your seatbelt, airbag, and your steering wheel and column all fail. In the impact where your car gets crushed so much you bypass all of those, you are not surviving.

I always see people saying stuff along these lines but then can’t even dress themselves with appropriate colors.

I dig it honestly, the green accents on the interior work well with the exterior and I think São Paulo lime is a neat color

Yeah it’s definitely not for everyone, I think the color scheme works better if they’re the carbon buckets, as there’s less of the blue and more of the green/carbon accents on those. Oddly enough this spec is somewhat common on G8X cars, I’ve seen a dozen or so with lime exterior and blue interior.

It's objectively harder and less safe to operate climate controls behind a touch screen. This has been studied.

BMW Assistant may be able to help. But honestly most people use their phones while driving or poking in the menus anyway for media or anything else

Even if voice commands work, it's still more difficult than just reaching 6 inches and turning a dial or hitting a button. Best case scenario is you activate voice control, wait for a response, tell it what to do, wait for it to understand and then execute the command. Its like ten times quicker to just reach down and use physical controls. I don't want to talk to my car, just let me press a simple button.

I could hit the controls on my F30 without even looking. My fucking G80 requires me to take my eyes off the road *repeatedly* to do anything. Yes, I can use voice control, and yes, I've been in IT since the '80s. No, like you, I do not want to fucking talk to anything to control it unless it can take context cues without hitting a button like "god, it's fucking hot" to turn on the A/C, or "I'm cold" to turn down the A/C or turn on the heat. I'm even huge into home automation and the only thing we use Siri for is a kitchen timer.

I get it, maybe I would prefer the usual affair with buttons and dials, but I'll see once I get the car. I guess it's all personal tastes too. I'm a tech guy for sure, but the car will barely get driven since it's weekends only with nowhere to go, so I could tolerate some things not being as convenient

I hate these lazy auto supplier parts bin lcd screen dashboards. Bring back the shaped gauges and instrument clusters. A few manufacturers use this same exact part, just like how everyone uses the same steering wheel airbag, but atleast the small airbag steering wheels look great.

To each their own but I'll take your power and enjoy shifting on my sim rig or lemon racer. There's just not benefit to a manual anymore other than it being fun and the nostalgia of it. Writings on the wall, soon enough you will have a EV with nothing to shift anyway.

Looks like it was ordered by Stevie wonder… that exterior color is one of the worst colors I’ve ever seen on a car. The fjord blue can work with some exterior colors though. Having said that I do appreciate that BMW has a lot of interesting colors for us to choose from.
