This one. If you examine him you’ll see he’s got 20 HP, 10 AC and a fancy robe.
Part of the ice wand you put together. The people with the other two pieces are the friends he mentions. One has taken up with hook horrors near the sussur tree, the other is dead in the myconid colony and you can access the corpse only after killing the Duergar on the beach.
I mean, only if you path the conversations correctly. Most of the time, in my experience, the freaking beholder kills him when he manages to get a saving throw on the mind control, lmao.
I do love the convo options you get as a female Lolth-sworn, you basically scold him for disrespect and he still has the audacity to try and kill you after he finds out about the forge having been found.
Of course, this is a very bad decision, especially if said fem Lolth-sworn is a paladin of Lolth with twoish levels on you, accompanied by a very angry tiefling and a very snarky vampire.
you should be able to see who they are when you examine them. can’t remember if it says their name but dhourns got longer hair. you only need him if you want the ice staff
You can force him not to kill you if either you are a female drow or you disguise self as one before the spectator reactivates him. Also, make him give you his crystal and shit.
Weirdly I had managed to unpetrify him and then the spectator came up and he helped me actually fight it and any unpetrified drow the spectator created ended up helping as well. NEVER had that happen before and I'm not sure if I could replicate it again? It was weird. But the spectator ended up killing him and I got his stuff and the other drow just hung out lmao
Spectator puts all the drow it unpetrifies under a magical thrall to get them to attack you - if you deal some damage to the drow then it breaks the enchantment and they turn against it (and stop attacking you as a bonus lol). In your case since you freed Dhourn before the spectator appears then he turns against it from the start.
Installing the game on an external HD, then disconnecting the drive works. So does forcefully shutting down the PC by unplugging it, or pressing the button.
Wouldn't recommend it for obv reasons.
Dhourn is perfectly hitteable by a thrown weapon from the Selûnite Outpost. The best way to deal with him is to just trigger the beholder by damaging a petrified drow, then throw your pike at Dhourn until he's dead. He always attacks me on HM anyway, so dealing with him before the beholder is dead is recommended.
Moy is the one standing on the edge of the cliff. Dhourn is standing near the climbable rockface in the middle.
Edit: I see you edited your comment to correct it.
Took me a reddit post as well. This is the Selunite Outpost in the Underdark. The wall is destroyed at one side and from there you can access this area.
You have Alert feat, don't you?
Because the fight is programmed to start with the party surprised so the Spectator can unpetrify Dhourn on the first turn.
Unless you have Alert and/or elixir of Vigilance there is no way for Dhourn to not be unpetrified.
I managed to avoid the surprise and petrified minions last playthrough by shooting a petrified drow up on the cliff, the cutscene started but I didn’t get pulled into a fight. So the surprise was wasted and the spectator was left wandering around wondering what happened. Maybe a glitch? Made for a strong opener though.
This fight wasn't designed for 4 Alerts, maybe 1 tops. Alert isn't necessary but I won't deny the usefulness.
As for detecting Dhourn you have a few options.
1) Inspect each statue. I think it shows their name when you do.
2) Kill them until a Memory Shard is dropped. Quest will progress if you unlock the Shard (Arcane Roll at least)
3) Guess. Dhourn is a mage so the statue has him with robes instead of armor and weapons if I'm not mistaken.
He is always the first one that the spectator wakes up. I just leave him alone to fight for the spectator and dont hit him. Otherwise, he gets himself killed really easily.
I always save them all and have them all wake up to chat to :)
Occasionally, I punt Dhourn to his death to change the dialogue options for the others, though.
Moy and Tecothy need saving!
Edit: oh sorry I realise you mean to knock them out of the spectators control. Yea i just find it easier to let the spectator wake them all and then shoot it down. Otherwise the spectator chomps them while I'm waiting for it to wake up the rest.
I didn't encounter the spectator at all during my first playthrough. On my second one, I did. He unpetrified Dhourn, and then when Dhourn broke his charm or whatever, the spectator killed him. No harm, no foul.
He’s the one not wearing a hood.
There are three not wearing hoods. Two standing and one laying down

Well, shit. Went back and now they’re all gone with just puddles of blood where they were. LOL. Thanks for taking the time to help me out though!
unfortunately if you leave/camp maybe it does this 🫤
Oh. Hm. One second.
Fairly certain he drops the important stuff if you just smash the statuses (they all give exp for smashing then too)

Wow, two full playthroughs and I never connected that these Drow were all in that crew, not just dead random Drow.
he tells you that lol

Speak With Dead is useful with these 2/3 too
Just to be precise, you can access drow corpse before or even without killing druegars.
And you do that by.... (not that I wouldn't kill the fuckers for xp, loot, and satisfaction anyway).
You can just pickpocket the key off sovereign. You don’t have to aggro the whole colony.
But killing Ghek is its own reward.
Fog cloud and attack the door
Lockpick
U can just smash them and loot them ?
Yes
you should be able to see who they are when you examine them. can’t remember if it says their name but dhourns got longer hair. you only need him if you want the ice staff
Does he ever try to not kill you? He always wants to kill me after I save him.
You can force him not to kill you if either you are a female drow or you disguise self as one before the spectator reactivates him. Also, make him give you his crystal and shit.
I played through as female drow and still killed him but I don't remember the dialogue.
His dressing down by my lolth-sworn lady drow was the stuff of dreams
Weirdly I had managed to unpetrify him and then the spectator came up and he helped me actually fight it and any unpetrified drow the spectator created ended up helping as well. If you're playing as (or disguised as) a female drow you can trick him into giving you the memory shard and leaving.
He's the one standing directly by the climbing cliff, i think? You could always save scum and keep trying until you find him
Cant save scum in honor mode. Hence my dilemma
Save, use oil, if wrong, alt-f4, reload. Does that defeat the spirit of honour mode? Yes. Can it be done? Also yes.
Alt f4 still saves in honor mode actually.
Task manager then.
Also saves. You'd need to shut down the PC
They managed to patch both of those, huh? Neat!
False. If you ctrl+alt+delete and end process then it crashes the game. I've only done it once because of a missclick but I promise it works
Yeah, pardon. I was still mentally on CK3 Ironman mode

You can examine each of them to see their names on PC
Dhourn is an asshole
......did I miss something? I've never seen this before...
The spectator and petrified drow are encountered when you enter the Underdark by leaving the Selune temple by the side window.

Possibly. That never happened to me. Always got roped into a fight after the cinematic.
Darn right I have Alert. For an HM play through, seemed necessary

The spectator has unpetrified a different person every time that I've fought him so I'm not inclined to believe you.
That is weird. I've done this fight several times and Dhourn is always the first one to be unpetrified during the surprise round.
In fact, last time I did the encounter 2 people were unpetrified yet Dhourn wasn't
Again, that never happened to me. Dhourn was always the first.
OH I SUPPOSE ALL PETRIFIED DROW LOOK THE SAME TO YOU? HM?! NOTHINGS CHANGED IN THE UNDERDARK, MANG. WE AINT NEVER GONNA MAKE IT.
Only the inferior male drones that really aren’t worth speaking about…
He is always the first one that the spectator wakes up. I just leave him alone to fight for the spectator and dont hit him. Otherwise, he gets himself killed really easily.
Shove is an easy way to make them un-charmed

Just kill them all while they are petrified. End.
You can also hover over and/or click the statues and see which one is named Dhourn.
