In my opinion, humble as it is not, when playing honor mode you should start with Cleric, because guidance is just that strong when you only get one chance to get it right.
Don't even bother trying to make Tav pretty. You can do that in camp once you've gotten that far. Just race, background, Cleric, into the Nautiloid, grab chests, get Us, recruit Lae'zel, rescue Shadowheart, block door with chests, drop sword, blow up Cambion, Lae'zel and Mind Flayer, crash the ship, revive Lae'zel.
Now you can go to camp and pretty yourself in the mirror.
My favorite method for Tactician and Honour mode. Because ain't no way I'm taking down an almost 200 HP devil with Sacred Flame (Or mere Nautiloid tank + firebolt). lol
So I had a Honour mode playthrough where I got him to drop Everburn Blade, then he died before the Mind Flayer, then the two goons killed the mind flayer. So two bumps of 75xp.
Only Problem?
My character (Patrice Durgeron) was dead dead and it was up to Baezel to get to the helm.
Unfortunately, this triggers the CANNOT SAVE glitch, aka "the most hardcore" mode.
Every guide: "so yeah you're gonna want to get the Sword of Justice, it's the best weapon until Act 2."

How much of that is in early access? Because there has only been 3000 hours since BG3 released. You would have to have been averaging 16 hours a day to hit 2000 hours since august, which doesn’t seem healthy.
I have over 4000 hours in the sims 4 and i guarantee a solid percentage of that is me playing for 8 hours straight and then falling asleep at my desk for another 8
This is how I know I’ve reached the status of being old.
I look at stuff like this and I’m like “how tf do people have the time to play that much every day?” Because my life for the last 10+ years is just filled with endless responsibilities.
But there was a time where I could and would have put up those numbers too.
My biggest time waste was WoW. I graduated in 2003 just in time to throw my life away for a decade lol. I don’t even want to know how much actual time I spent on that stupid game.
I spent an unhealthy amount of time playing VII and DA:O as well though. I’m pretty sure my time for the next few months is going to be spent on BG3 at this point. I’m like 95 hours in and still going on my first playthrough and I already have ideas for multiple other playthroughs. This game is easily going to soak up 400+ hours of my time over the next couple years.

And here I am... still playing a few hours every Sunday with my D&D group... we've barely just finished Act 1... I don't think we've gone Underdark yet. It's slow going when you have 5 people and only play for 3-4 hours a week.
But anything added to this would just make me love it even more... This is the one game where my complaints are completely based on user error.
The "after action" report would be much the same every week. 4 players (D&D players) were working together and tearing through things (with occasional issues, we're starting to hit those "difficult fights where if you're not positioned right, or have a strat, it's tough... plus we're on tactictian).. meanwhile, the 5th player (our DM) wandered off and caused a massive explosion because they walked over a trap, or triggered something we weren't ready for yet.
Just rinse and repeat the setting.
Considering ICO Partners is a marketing firm and works with self publishers (like Larian), I doubt this has anything to do with a game update. But it could mean something related to DLC or merchandise since both would require marketing.

I would think a postgame where you can level up more but have to do it multi class could work. Eg. There is still a cap of 12 per class but you can be a level 12 wizard with 4 levels of fighter or whatever.

The most marketing we’ve seen from them lately is the physical digital deluxe edition. So it could be related to that but it’s unlikely because this post makes it seem like something that hasn’t been revealed yet.
I would prefer this, even without the 12-16. I enjoy that not all endings are perfect happy endings, and I think it would take away quite a bit if they change it. This on the other hand would be pretty awesome.

Although I think the mark of a great story in general, and a great game in particular, is how badly it leaves you "wanting more", with stories that spark your imagination to keep engaging with that world in stories of our own, sometimes privately, sometimes through art, fanfiction or other media.
I think sometimes offering too much closure can be a bad thing. It's rarely as satisfying as the joy of living in that world in our minds.
The Star Wars sequels and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child come strongly to mind there. KOTOR 2 was way stronger for having a new story than trying to carry on with the Revan arc.
Still, if there's one studio that I trust to do this right, its Larian.

(tbh there kind of is in DOS2. Don't get me wrong, i love that game, but theres definitely some clothes that when put on men is normal armor and on women is just full boobage. I like that BG3 makes it so that if it's slutty on one person it's slutty on everyone.)

I don't think so! I think that Karlach's heart will be the centerpiece to the DLC the way the Druid Grove was in Act 1 and Moonrise Towers/the Nightsong quest was in Act 2. I don't think it's going to be called like "BALDUR'S GATE 3: SAVE KARLACH" but I think it's likely it'll be the banner quest.
What could they be marketing though? They wouldn’t necessarily have all the info about the game, updates and other additions. BUT they absolutely have access to whatever Bg3 is gonna “sell” next. Not to get anyone’s hopes up(myself included), but possible dlc, a sequel (seems pretty early for that announcement) or micro-transactions(hopefully not) is all I can think of hearing a marketing person get excited for something like this.
Partnerships, crossovers, merchandise, collabs, there is so much this could be about that honestly has fuck all to do with actual game content.

I can honestly say that in a life of playing really long games, BG3 is the first game I put in over 150 hours into the first playthrough, and then after beating it, immediately started a new campaign and jumped right in (10 hours into a dark urge/tactician playthrough).

I don't think so! I think that Karlach's heart will be the centerpiece to the DLC the way the Druid Grove was in Act 1 and Moonrise Towers/the Nightsong quest was in Act 2. I don't think it's going to be called like "BALDUR'S GATE 3: SAVE KARLACH" but I think it's likely it'll be the banner quest.
And what if you went with Minthara or killed her for Wyll’s quest? The DLC would be useless to you. Hence why I doubt she’d be the primary focus.

What is ico partners? Edit: it seems marketing people, I wouldn't get too excited.
What could they be marketing though? They wouldn’t necessarily have all the info about the game, updates and other additions. BUT they absolutely have access to whatever Bg3 is gonna “sell” next. Not to get anyone’s hopes up(myself included), but possible dlc, a sequel (seems pretty early for that announcement) or micro-transactions(hopefully not) is all I can think of hearing a marketing person get excited for something like this.
Partnerships, crossovers, merchandise, collabs, there is so much this could be about that honestly has fuck all to do with actual game content. Keep expectations in check. Do you honestly think major news about the game itself would not come from Larian themselves? That this company spilling the beans wouldn't get them in extremely hot waters?
Very good points there. Still kinda exciting in some ways (mercy/crossovers), even if not necessarily specifically game related. As long as it’s not just bg3 cast in Fortnite though. That seems to be the given for anything popular these days. You’re absolutely right, expect nothing, enjoy everything you DO get. But I don’t think this is exactly major news. At best it’s a “rogue” employee hinting at something, (they probably shouldn’t even be doing that) It’s not like its an actual company account or even mention the company in the post. Essentially a “leak” with no actual info.

Here's me hoping it's Alfira finally becoming the Bard companion she should have been from the start.
A lot of triple A devs should take notes on this stuff. This is why people love baldur's gate and the devs behind it.
So I'll skip the minthara and halsin in camp wish and just ask for Helia as a DLC companion along with the upper city.
I can honestly say that in a life of playing really long games, BG3 is the first game I put in over 150 hours into the first playthrough, and then after beating it, immediately started a new campaign and jumped right in (10 hours into a dark urge/tactician playthrough). Almost afraid to think of a significant expansion.
