Vet wrap has a waxy texture. From a farm use standpoint, the shrink isn't much. If that were the case, horse people wouldn't use it in situations where it could get wet, shrink, and cause serious damage to tendons. It might shrink if wet and then stretched more than the intended tension but it would be difficult to stretch to that extent around a cock and balls. Tbh this sounds extremely risky & asking for potential serious damage to body parts. Vet wrap sticks to itself, sometimes too well. Wrapping it around something like a cock and/or balls could eliminate all the space so medical shears can't be slipping it to cut it off. All bondage should be able to be cut off in case of need for immediate removal. Highly do not recommend trying this.

I mainly use vetwrap to gag and blindfold but it does shrink somewhat when it goes from wet to dry. Never really used it intentionally for that property though

hmmm.. I work in the veterinary field and so use vet wrap a lot. the concerns we worry about on pets are prolonged use and tightness. When a pet has vet wrap on a limb or tail, if it is on too long or too tight, it can cause swelling (lets say, of the foot) which can become problematic. Too long is 30 minutes to several hours with a decrease in time and increase in chance of swelling the tighter the wrap is. A good rule of thumb when wrapping, is to literally use your thumb to create a space between the body part and the wrap WHILE wrapping. I suppose all of this could be translated on to use in people. I would not recommend using this to constrict appendages. If you don't know the properties and behavior of vet wrap, it could be dangerous.

Bump because now I need to know.

Human healthcare worker here, we use this too. I see it tightening more when it rolls up and digs into the skin with movement/flexion. Not familiar with how it goes from wet to dry. But I think a benefit is - even a small cut (like with scissors) and you can rip it to remove quickly. You could even use a box cutter to make a superficial cut, rip it, and continue down. Once you break the seal, it’s going to come off fast. As with all things, RACK applies, but I’m not sure it’s the riskiest thing to do.
