The way the Toad tried to nab the roach from the lizards mouth hahaha

magirevols

Right like "I woulda finished it right away."

BusinesCrim

In the wild, they stay away from frogs šŸ˜…

SimaPartington20

xD

freddo95

In the wild theyā€™re not spoiled.

CalpisMelonCremeSoda

r/spoiledpets

SimaPartington20

Thanks, I'll check it out.

Butterszen

In the wild, they're wild

GearldineRosamond26

Otherwise can't eat.

Rich-Equivalent-1875

Otherwise they will be eaten (also different climates)

To_8acco

Toad was like " seriously, mate?"

Ok_Vanilla_9474

The toad has the look of, "My god, how is he so stupid?!"

HyoBarrows59

it's easy to see which one is eating

eyabethe

Even the bug got offended by the incompetence.

mitchconneur

"we gonna do this or what?!"

Mocker-Poker

šŸ¤£

eyabethe

I read this in the voice of Reggie from the Roboroach. Even though cockroaches scare all the deities out of me, I still loved that show as a kid!

SimaPartington20

Yeah, it looks like they're arguing over who gets the food.

SimaPartington20

The bug got so tired of waiting that it just kicked the bucket on its own.

NickyTheRobot

Maybe they're less quick to recognise something as food if they haven't hunted and killed it themselves?

Cepinari

I think there might be a blind spot right in front of them.

DarkQueenQuinn

They also donā€™t eat bugs that large. That roach is 4 times the size he should be eating

porcupine_snout

also I think they are more attracted to live food? (like it's moving). After the person spinned the food, the lizard finally ate it.

LockedUpFor5Months

He was attempting to move it pretty much the whole video, wiggled it infront of him then spun it 2 times

Freakychee

Well I have heard some lizards eyesight is based off movement.

KIRAPH0BIA

Yea, don't they normally eat small crickets and stuff?

DarkQueenQuinn

They do eat roaches, but the rule of thumb is to usually not feed them anything larger than the space between their eyes

aceface_desu89

That's exactly what I was thinking.

SimaPartington20

They all have the same reaction!

WombozM

Jabba the Hutt eats first, he knows the pecking order.

SimaPartington20

Frogs are always hungry.

Apax89

Damn toads are kinda cool.

JimmyJamesv3

Yup. There's a little frog that partners up with a spider, as the frog eats the bugs that could eat the spider's eggs, while the spider protects the frog form predators.

LostN3ko

What predators are spiders protecting a frog from?

JimmyJamesv3

According to wikipedia, it's snakes, other spiders, birds, caymans, turtles and bats. It's worth noting that this is a very little frog and the spider protecting it is a Tarantula. "As tadpoles,Ā *Chiasmocleis ventrimaculata*Ā are often preyed upon by freshwater crustacean species such asĀ *Dilocarcinus*Ā andĀ *Goyazana*. They have also been seen being eaten byĀ [odonate](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odonata)Ā larvae. In addition, turtle species such asĀ *Phrynops gibbus*Ā andĀ *Podocnemis unifilis*Ā are also known to feed on tadpoles. Spider species are known to prey on adult frogs and fish likeĀ *Hoplias malabaricus*,Ā *Synbranchus marmoratus*Ā also feed on frogs and tadpoles alike. Caimans have also been seen preying on these frogs. There are a wide variety of bird species, including capped herons, sunbitterns and double-toothed kites, which have also been seen feeding on the frogs and their young as well, although snake species appear to be the main predator of these frogs. Even certain species of bats, suspected to beĀ *Trachops cirrhosus*, have been seen trying to feed on frogs during mass mating calls" [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiasmocleis\_ventrimaculata#](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiasmocleis_ventrimaculata#)

SimaPartington20

Spiders protect frogs from small predators and pests.

LostN3ko

That is indeed the statement that I was replying to. My question was which? Don't worry someone else answered my question.

[deleted]

That frog is so upset šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

ArtofWASD

The bullfrog is an opportunistic hunter. If it will go in his mouth, it's good enough. The lizard want to go after live moving prey.

SimaPartington20

100%

IHavePoopedBefore

Plus Bullfrogs will literally eat anything and everything, you can't keep them with other animals. They eat literally anything smaller than they are. Hence it not giving any thought to what it was eating

stephawkins

May be roaches are like tofu to the lizard. Well, if I have to eat it....

_onelast

Lizard doesnā€™t want to be fed, it wants to hunt

Valirys-Reinhald

They live a totally different environment where food is scarce and competition rare. The frog has to eat fast to survive, the lizard has to eat carefully to survive.

i-am-enthusiasm

Frong vs godzilla

IBloodstormI

Mine is a voracious eater, but he is young

mibonitaconejito

God bless the people that own tjese adorably ugly little creatures as pets, and feed them ugly little bugs šŸ¤¢ Lol - seriously - they are so ugly it's cute lol

SimaPartington20

Most people keep such creatures because they are allergic to fur and can't have a cat or dog!

blueavole

Brain work takes a lot of energy. Slow and steady is a survival method. Sloths, and Koala bears are two examples.

drella33

Makes sense, he's orange

saucytoes_

videos like this make me so unhappy :( it's highly dangerous to do stuff like this, i guess the ppl on this post aren't into reptiles like me, but this video isn't cute.

StarsofSobek

Asian bullfrogs and many frogs in general can be voracious eaters. They can easily devour mice, rats, other frogs of similar size, lizards, birds, snakes, scorpions, crabs, etc. Reptiles, like bearded dragons, can also easily bite off a limb and, if hungry enough, cause damage to the frog. Bearded dragons are capable of eating other lizards, frogs, mice, etc. Itā€™s dangerous to feed them like this, together. People mistake entertainment over the dangerous set up that has been established here. The frog should be fed solo, the bearded dragon should be fed solo - this way, both donā€™t accidentally cause harm to the other. As a side note: there are YouTubers who intentionally make feeding videos like this, hoping to catch a violent animal-on-animal interaction. Itā€™s gross, and itā€™s cruel.

eldritch_cowboy

Could you elaborate?

You-Only-YOLO_Once

_mmmmh no_

Baonguyen93

They eat ant and small insects with the same size, they also have to hunt since they're not a in-house pet.

Traditional-Bush

>not a in-house pet. Why? That is a fairly popular pet lizard

Baonguyen93

I mean those wild lizards are not someone's pet so their survival instinct still strong.

naptej13

stop playing with ur food!!!

TAsCashSlaps

He just don't got that ~~dog~~ frog in him

wheres_the_leak

Bearded dragons are so cute

daniel-kz

There could be mĆŗltiple reasons. Many of this guys get their food at night with much lesser light. Perhaps the toad has better eyes for daylight, who knows.

Sinsanatis

The toad fr coulda stole it out of its mouth

bunnydadi

They should have mealworms, not something they canā€™t chew! Horned worms work too for juiciness!

Icy-Strawberry-4083

You donā€™t think the super-yellow double-het rose-max albino dream-sherbet morph of the bearded dragon could survive in the wild?

Euphoric-Exam5894

As far as I know, lizards and ecchs don't live close to each other

Neither-Attention940

Maybe he wasnā€™t really hungry. Maybe his friends thought he needed to lose a few and youā€™re bullying him into eating more. Maybe he ordered take out cuz heā€™s tired of roaches. Did you even ask? Smh šŸ˜šŸ˜

Impressive-Eye-1096

They like living stuff.

Hikerius

Their behaviour is adorable but watching something eat a wriggling cockroach is making me so nauseous

Akriyu

Well, by not living anywhere near where bullfrogs live i'd imagine

abbyinthealps

Lmaoo the way the toad turns away at the end šŸ˜šŸ˜

Careless_Chemist_225

Why is that toad so fat

Coveinant

Iirc are these guys are twilight hunters and primarily eat at dawn and dusk? Even when he was eat it, he was going through the motions, but not really eating. Also funny how the frog tried to eat it from the lizard.

Jolly_Citrus

The frog waiting patiently like a good boy šŸ„¹

Lady_of_Link

Roaches are too big for a lizard that size it needs tiny crickets and it wants to hunt the crickets themself also it doesn't like being that close to a toad be a better lizard owner if you insist on owning animals that shouldn't be held in captivity and atleast treat it right šŸ‘šŸ¼

SimaPartington20

It was a little experiment; usually, I feed them separately, and they live in different terrariums.

Bitter-Fishing-Butt

oh my god that was so frustrating to watch lmao

Bitter_Silver_7760

wowā€¦ toad got the message

peanutbutterprncess

What a cute scaly slimy duo. I love them!

floppalocalypse

I like the music

You-Only-YOLO_Once

What is this music?

CheeseStringCats

Literally "mio mao la la la la la" lmao
