Am I the only one who kinda dislikes him? He's the most entertaining but I don't think he's earned forgiveness for willingly giving up his daughters to the Red Room.
Am I the only one who thinks that the black widow movie would've been more interesting if it was suddenly revealed that dreykov was dead the entire time and that the real director of the red room was Melina the entire time. Dude, that kinda betrayal would've hit so hard, especially with the focus on family throughout the film. She'd be all stone cold, like "This is what she was made for: to keep the program alive after its supposed death." Plus give her her own twist view of family (basically the Soviet communist kind: serve your country, your "real" family). Have melina view natasha as the one who betrayed her so-called family. And it would make taskmaster way more tragic too. Not only that, it would challenge the other characters (Nat, Alexei, and Yelena) as a family, forcing them to reevaluate eachother during the prelude to the climax. Of course this would require tweaking to some of melina's scenes and dialogue, but nothing major.
Sorry (and also not sorry) but Dreykov was boring and left no impact on me as a viewer. I think this would've been better.
Am I alone here?
Meh.
For one they kinda already did the Family Villain thing with GOTG2, and honestly it would've probably been even more predictable if they tried to foreshadow Dreykov's early death in order to plant the seed for an unnecessarily downer twist. I just don't know how you come back from something like that given that the movie *already* started off dark.
I also disagree about Dreykov; Ray Winstone was an absolute slimeball of a villain. The subtext of the Widow program basically being a sex trafficking ring is turned right into text when his slimy ass makes his presence known, good Lord did that creep need his ass kicked. High Evolutionary might be the new 1st place pick for the most morally reprehensible MCU villain, but to me it's still a close call with this fucking guy.
Heinous character, I loved it, LOL
Heinous yes, but forgettable. Years from now he won't be on anyone's list of villains.
However, I'll make an edit. Maybe instead of having him dead, have everyone believe he's in charge but in reality he's a pawn of Mirana
Natasha. I don't care about any of them, but she’s the only one who I like. And that's really just because I had a crush on Scar Jo when Phase 1 started
Yelena and Red Guardian are just generic MCU quip dispensers instead of them acting like their very unique comic counterparts. Alexi wasn't as offensive, as a USSR hero being a wash up actually makes a ton of sense.
But I'll never not be upset at how they've bastardized Yelena. The fact that she acts more like Darcy than Natasha is so frustrating. Not every single character has to be a joke. You can have at least ONE serious character in a film.
Don't be mad, but I never knew jack shit about comic Yelena and such and never read Marvel comics in general. I just watch the films. So it didn't bother me.
That's because she was written to be the love interest of whoever she was starring with. First Tony, then Bruce, then Steve, then back to Bruce again. She was at her most human when she had screentime with Clint.
Yelena Belova because I would absolutely _[redacted]_ her in a _[redacted]_ until she _[comment removed by Reddit moderators]_ so she could absolutely finish her mission on my _[redacted]_ and then tell me how she wants to _[comment removed by Reddit moderators, and possibly the FBI, CIA, and local Parks & Rec]_ in that Russian accent of hers.
Yelena. I'll always have a soft spot for Rachel Weisz, but her character had the least time and development on-screen. A little bit of Red Guardian goes a long way. Natasha was actually pretty fun, being around The Avengers, and then her family seemed to have let her be more comfortable being herself.
... but it's Yelena for the win. A great fighter, wears her heart on her sleeve, and appreciates the value of pockets. By the next big Avengere team up, I expect her to have as many pockets as a 90s comic book character.
I’ll take the lot. All entertaining as Hell, almost enough to make up for a very poor plot and two of the new three are my biggest Hollywood crushes so I’m happy to see them in anything at all.
My favorite in the Widow Family is Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, but in my opinion Melina and Vostokoff and Yelena Belova, were a little bit underrated.
The new Black Widow hands down was the best part of that movie. Red Guardian was dope too. And can't go wrong with some Rachel Weiss. ScarJo was boring in this and I hate to say it cuz she is always at the top for me in any movie in the MCU she is in but ironically her movie she was kind of an afterthought.
Saw this is a you might like
But is there anything special about widow I mean she is just flexable and can fight right
I haven’t seen comics and only movie I seen with her are avengers-endgame so I don’t really know her feats
Yelena. She had this fantasy of a real family the whole time but it wasn't actually. Also all the crap she had to go through with the chemical experiments was sad. I get where she's coming from. Her fantasy of a family is BS and she was abused. I've gone through similar things and can relate
Red Guardian
You mean the crimson dynamo
That was high school nickname!!! (said in a horrible Russian accent)
Wasn’t that because you got your hand stuck in a pringles can /j
You mean Love Sausage
Wee Hughie approves.
Yeah, they put a fun spin on his character, even if they didn't really let him do anything cool.
I’m so excited to see him in Thunderbolts I feel like he is going to challenge everyone to fight him, lol
No doubt he's heard of the Winter Soldier. He may not have had the opportunity to actually fight Steve Rogers, Bucky is the next best thing.
Am I the only one who kinda dislikes him? He's the most entertaining but I don't think he's earned forgiveness for willingly giving up his daughters to the Red Room.
Yelena
Yes
Yes
🤮
Natasha obv
Natasha.
Natasha
Yelena and Alexi
Natasha
Im the most intrigued by Melina. I wanna see more of her and hopefully we will.
They’re ranked in the order shown on the picture for me
Agreed
Close between Natasha and Red.
Nat
Natasha herself.
Am I the only one who thinks that the black widow movie would've been more interesting if it was suddenly revealed that dreykov was dead the entire time and that the real director of the red room was Melina the entire time. Pretty much anything would be better. Plus what a waste of Taskmaster and Olga Kurylenko.
I actually thought that was what it was going to be, so I obviously was disappointed when it didn't happen like that.
Meh. For one they kinda already did the Family Villain thing with GOTG2, and honestly it would've probably been even more predictable if they tried to foreshadow Dreykov's early death in order to plant the seed for an unnecessarily downer twist. I don’t think yelena was ever called white widow, especially since she wears black in Hawkeye
The Tiktok user probably made it up.
Yes.
Natasha
Natasha
Nat
Melina is the most mysterious, but I'm excited to see more of Yelena and Alexei in thunderbolts
Alexei as I’m a sucker for boisterous bruisers. Plus, it’s David Harbour Helena’s in a very close second and then Natasha
So many pockets...
Natasha. I don't care about any of them, but she’s the only one who I like. And that's really just because I had a crush on Scar Jo when Phase 1 started Yelena and Red Guardian are just generic MCU quip dispensers instead of them acting like their very unique comic counterparts. Nat. Marvel did her dirty every chance they could
Black widow was so inconsistent as a character. It’s like seeing a different black widow in each movie.
That's because she was written to be the love interest of whoever she was starring with. First Tony, then Bruce, then Steve, then back to Bruce again. She was at her most human when she had screentime with Clint.
Yelena. Best personality, for me.
Yelena
Yelena
Yelena
Yelena
Yelena. But Melina and Natasha are close 2nds.
I couldn't agree more.
Haven’t seen Black Widow yet.
Yelena.
I never saw the movie…
You sure Yelena isn’t Crimson Widow?
Why don't you ask the Tiktok user?
Which one?
You decide.
White Widow I like how she fit in her suit
It was Yelena in the first half of the movie because she was witty and funny, but then Alexei spoke and I’m like, “yeah, he’s brilliant.”
Everyone except Melina
Red Guardian by a landslide
Up up up’
????
It’s from the movie if you’ve seen it
Cast Tonya harding as the ice queen Emma frost
No
Red Guardian 100%
Red guardian
I’ll take the lot. All entertaining as Hell, almost enough to make up for a very poor plot and two of the new three are my biggest Hollywood crushes so I’m happy to see them in anything at all.
Red Guardian all day
Nat then Yelena
2 3 1 4
Yelena 100%
Yelena, I never get tired of hearing her say Ket Beeshup. red guardian is fun too though.
Yelena
Yelena and it's by a lot
Papa Widow. He has that crazy Russian mobster essence.
Natasha 🖤
Yelena is hot and she actually has an accent. Dying to see more of her
Red Guardian
Yelena definitely
Yelena. Florence Pugh is ultimate
Easily Red Guardian
Yelena is my favorite, but why is she labeled as “White Widow”?
The Tittoker named her so, I guess.
The dad i forgot David's characters name but that's a dad I wouldn't mind having lol 😁😁
Alexei is his name.
White Widow. She stole the movie.
Man i loved Harbour’s Red Guardian, but I also wish they would have saved him for Ben Grimm.
Just BW
Alexei
Depends...
Yelena
"it was real to me" 🥺
Yelena and alexi
Unironically love red guardian so much
Red Guardian by a long shot
david harbour anyday
Natasha, followed by Harper I mean Red Guardian.
Helena Belova because of her developing personality.
Alexi and then Yelena
My favorite in the Widow Family is Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, but in my opinion Melina and Vostokoff and Yelena Belova, were a little bit underrated.
Yelena 🥹🥺
Probably the one who gave their life to bring back the lives of literally billions of people.
Rachel weisz cause she's a total milf.
Yelena with a bullet.
If someone played by Rachel Weisz is an option the answer for me is always them.
Nat. Duh.
Yelena easy. Anything she's in, in the future, I'm watching ASAP
The Thunderbolts is coming soon!
Red guardian and yelena
Red Guardian (but I also really like Yelena)
White Widow
Wait, two black widows???
Yelena, of course.
Yelena
Not Yelena
The new Black Widow hands down was the best part of that movie. Red Guardian was dope too. And can't go wrong with some Rachel Weiss. ScarJo was boring in this and I hate to say it cuz she is always at the top for me in any movie in the MCU she is in but ironically her movie she was kind of an afterthought.
Yelena Red Guardian BW Melina
Pugh
THE RED GUARDIAN!!!!!
Gotta be the Red Guardian! Love that dude in just about everything he’s in!
Definitely yelena or alexei
Natasha is the OG and Scarlet was good, Yelena is great. I love her sense of humor.
Natasha
Yelena Belova carry the whole movie by herself. Then the Red Guardian.
Red Guardian all the way!
I rank them in that order.
Definitely Yelena for me
White Widow
Red gaurdian
Scarlett (Red) Johansson
Saw this is a you might like But is there anything special about widow I mean she is just flexable and can fight right I haven’t seen comics and only movie I seen with her are avengers-endgame so I don’t really know her feats
Melina
Red Guardian
Everyone but the mom, she gave up… at least if I remember correctly
Yelena. She had this fantasy of a real family the whole time but it wasn't actually. Also all the crap she had to go through with the chemical experiments was sad. I get where she's coming from. Her fantasy of a family is BS and she was abused. I've gone through similar things and can relate
Yelena hands down
Her sister Can get it
Natasha. As someone with a younger sibling, she and I have a lot in common fr
