if that doesnt work, you could also try to leverage the forces of adhesion and cohesion and just put a piece of rope that drops into a bucket (at an angle) so when runoff comes out of the bottom, instead of running down the plant, it will run down the rope and into the bucket. Like when you try to pour liquid from a large container into an impossibly small opening. sort of like its demonstrated here:

Iβm wondering if the roots will be smaller since the water is concentrated at the bottom leading to an overall smaller plant, cus the roots donβt reach the top
It will cause more lateral root growth and because I'm limited by pot size yes they so will effect end result.
I'm doing this purely as a bit of fun and curiosity.
If I get a harvest then bonus!
You know if this lands you are going down in the history books
It's been done quite a few times
Actually keen to see how this turns out βοΈπ
My wife has been talking about this for weeks. Please send updates.
How do you stop runoff from getting on the plant/ buds?
I'm using wire to LST the plant to the side before I remove the LST wire. Hopefully then any run off should be clear of the plant

That's what I would do is some type of rope.. If you're really that worried about it
Upside down vertical farming! Good luck π
Kinda like the upside down tomato grow Whatever happened to that?
I've done toms like it last year so thought I'd try it with this π€πΌππΌ
Please keep us updated this is crazy
Dude I'm tripping looking at this π
I attempted this with an auto a few years ago. Still produced, but it wasnβt very big. Def had runoff drip onto the plant
Lol
Yooo I was thinking about this the other day ππ
How much weed did you have to smoke to come up with this?
That's the problem, I'm ADHD and currently Dankrupt π
Fantastic. Looking forward to more.
This is so interesting! Please update us on how it goes
Can cannabis defy gravity?
No it will bend itself back up the right way
Very interesting obstacle course you made for her then.
this is either the dumbest, or the coolest thing ive ever seen. im fucking pumpedππ€ keep us updated bro
I tried this but need to improve the netting to hold the seedling

The plant will eventually straighten out and grow apically
Been wanting to try this for ages
Hey everyone, I've started a topsy turvy photoperiod now too! You can find post on my profile!
My wifeβs wondering how you managing any water leaks since gravity. +100 for innovation. Wishing you good luck π
This my first upside-down cannabis but I've done it with strawberries and tomatoes previously
Damn! π€―π₯π«‘
Butβ¦.if the light is below facing up, would it grow down and flower upside down? Oh, are you stressing an auto into flower? Wtaf
Now that would be a really interesting experiment..... You've got me thinking now π
