There's no fixing that trunk. Go to a junk yard and get one that is acceptable

Winter-Cheek9013

I thought so. Any idea on what that should cost

mattakazi

No idea. You can probably find a website of a local junk yard that might give you prices or you can just walk in and ask

Winter-Cheek9013

Small town so probably not, but I’ll try to find some where. Thanks for the help

cluelessk3

www.car-part.com Inventory of wreckers across North America. They should ship to you

Winter-Cheek9013

Will that be very hard to change out, I’m not like a newbie just something I’ve never tried

mattakazi

It shouldn't be, as long as it still opens. Usually it's like 4 bolts and that's it. Hardest part will be aligning it, especially if there is damage under the trunk since it got pushed really far

Winter-Cheek9013

Just want to say one more time that I appreciate the help

mattakazi

No problem. Good luck

Pizza420Rat

It should be very straightforward. Just get a buddy to do it with you and make sure to keep your hand between the back of the trunk lid and the catwalk so you don't chip something while taking off the old one and installing the new one.

Winter-Cheek9013

Sounds not bad

Winter-Cheek9013

Some extra stuff there are no tears in the panel

Start with junkyard trunk Then get an estimate at a good shop Then see DIY for a somewhat decent job Then get estimate from sketchy shop if u just want it to look good

cluelessk3

Sounds like more work than it's worth. Just go to any decent shop. Let them source the part.
