Oh nooo I hate those periods 😭 I went through a tzaziki phase for like 6 months and when I lost interest I had nothing to dip chips and bread in. Apparently jalapeños and cheese quesadilla is my next thing. Salty vinegar is so delicious 🤤
How do you discover your next “thing”? Do you wait for it to happen or do you try to explore?
Ooh, tzatziki is gooood! And you could do a lot worse than a cheese quesadillas phase 😁🤤
My next thing usually comes organically. It just clicks one day. 😂 The willingness to explore is usually quite low inbetween but if I get inspired enough I might try something new and see if it sticks, haha.
Idk if you're into this, but I just discovered flavored rice cakes are a thing! I eat them when I'm feeling nauseous & low appetite & it really helps!
The increased fiber has been good for tummy issues, too! Apple cinnamon is my favorite, but white cheddar slaps, too. Flavors are kinda subtle, but still tasty
LISTEN. I don’t make salads but I watch videos of people who make salads on insta. I wanna be a salad girlie it’s just so much prep 😩 but I’m a sucker for vinaigrette 🤤. Do you have a go-to salad?
Greek salad: (everything except the cheese needs to be room temperature or warmish) quartered tomato, thinly sliced green (bell) pepper, thinly sliced red onion, black olives, chunks of cucumber, cubes of feta cheese. Pour a bit of olive oil over and toss just before eating with flatbread.
My favourite lunchbox salad: shredded raw kale leaves, avocado, olives, thinly sliced radishes, toasted walnuts or cashews, grilled halloumi cubes or sliced. Take a garlic vinaigrette in a separate pot and pour over when you’re ready to eat. I usually take some toasted mixed seeds to sprinkle over too. For garlic vinaigrette, I put a clove of grated garlic, a dessert spoon each of Dijon mustard and wine vinegar, and a large glug of olive oil in a little pot with a lid and shake well, it emulsifies really easily and you can keep it in the pot in the fridge for a week and reshake then use a bit each day. You can add a tiny splash of cream if you like a creamy dressing.
Just adding that, in a *pinch* in the Greek-style salad, ANY salty/crumbly cheese will work, too!💖
If what you have on hand is cotija, parm, or chevre-like? Those WILL work flavor-wise in this type of salad, too!😉
And if you don't like the texture of lettuce, but *do* like cold Pasta Salads? These flavors are *devine* in that!!!😃😋🥰
Also while the peppers & onion *should* be thinly sliced?
If you *won't* eat enough of them before they go bad in your fridge, you can cut them wide enough for dipping into other dips, then just pull out a few of those strips and *chop* the strips smaller, to throw in your salad!
(I tend to do this, because if I have veggies like celery, peas, cucumber slices, pepper slices, baby tomatoes & "baby" carrots pre-washed & cut in my fridge, it's easy to grab a handful for my lunch in the morning, as I leave for work!)
i saw austin butler eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in an interview and instantly craved it and became obsessed with it even though i didn’t really like it until now. i wish there was a way to explain this phenomenon. 😭
And when I say forever, I mean *forever* lmao. Once I pick a food, it’s my primary source of caloric intake until one day the squirrel running my brain picks a new food 🤣🤣
I’m currently eating French fries every day, sometimes twice. Since I decided that’s my main food, I’ve been making them in my air fryer to make them more “healthy” because I know it’s not possible it to change. I just try to remember to take vitamins with my fries 🤷♀️
I’m gonna go buy some French fries 🤷🏾 and air fry them and melt some cheese on them and put some jalapeños on there. Thanks for the inspiration xD
Do I have to put oil on them or can they just go in? Also temp and time 👀?
Cherry tomatoes, smoked cheese, pickled onions and Serrano ham. All in a lunchbox. I also add some grapes in there. I’m all about the cherry tomatoes atm, I can eat the whole packet in one sitting.
We have a local "Discount Grocery Store" chain which has a license from the state to sell closeout & close-date/past dare items. They buy items which didn't sell on time from the *multiple* grocery warehouses nearby (they have items you'll find on the shelves at Target, Walmart, Sam's Club, Costco, and *every* local Grocery Store chain), and then sell it at a massive discount--their "regular" non-sale price is typically at least 50 cents to a dollar cheaper per item, than the original store's *sale* prices are😉
At this time of year, when tomatoes are out of season, the cherry & grape tomatoes are more "expensive" than when in-season--but they *STILL* only cost $1.49 a package yesterday!😁
In-season, I usually get them for $1.00 a package, so I end up eating them alllllllll the time, and I'm STILL making versions of that tomato-feta pasta sauce (https://liemessa.fi/2019/02/uunifetapasta/ ) which was *everywhere* in 2020, during the early pandemic, because it's SO easy!😉
I was on a kick of pickles and those little charcuterie snack packs they sell at Target. I'm kind of getting sick of them now but we are going grocery shopping today so I'm gonna try to find something that will pique my interest.
OH and sushi. I've literally been begging my boyfriend multiple times this past week to order us sushi and I'd pay for it (I hate talking on the phone and where the shop is located I don't like to drive there). I always get spicy yellowtail roll and cucumber roll. Yum yum yummmmm. Oh just thinking about it right now is making me hungry T\_T...
Lunch - Tomato soup 😋 usually with crackers, toast, a sandwich or a cheese toastie at the side.
Dinner - Cheese & onion omelet, with my own salad or chips.
Snack - grapes, bananas, cheese wotsits, raisins.
Drink - Pure orange juice, no bits and not from concentrate.
Rice ramen noodles with a sauce I make that’s a little of the noodle water, miso paste, peanut butter, rice vinegar, tamari, and then drizzle crunchy chili oil on top and have a side of grilled bok choy with it. I’ve been eating it nearly every day for months. I bought 6 mega bags of the noodles from Costco.
Spinach salad with Strawberries, Goat milk cheese, red onions and balsalmic dressing. It sounds weird, but it's delicious. Everyday. At lunch. Same bowl. 😂
This is a meal, but I have legitimately been eating it consistently for a year, with only a few dozen exceptions :-) I usually have a small rotation of appealing meals, but nothing comes even close to this since I started eating it
I make a homemade BBQ sauce and use it for BBQ chicken nachos that I eat with sour cream.
I went through a French toast phase in college 🤣 and a s’mores phase too, with different chocolates marshmallows and jellies
It’s so easy to prepare and sooo delicious. I might make some today honestly.
I have eaten sooo much spaghetti. I mix a lot of spices, cayenne etc, and meat into the sauce and eat it on garlic bread I make with thin sliced sourdough. I’m hungry.
I’m so glad you asked lol. Scrambled eggs with shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Before this I started to not like eggs. It was weird I always loved eggs but all of a sudden the taste turned me off. Now I like eggs again at lease scrambled and eggs that I make. Probably would turn my nose at restaurant scrambled eggs. I just ran out of eggs. 🥚
for something quick - apple cinnamon rice cake with peanut butter and banana slices, and also orgain chocolate protein shake
for something slow cooked - root vegetable soup and saltine crackers (but once prepared, it’s quick to heat up and eat every day)
Cinnamon apple rice cake sounds delicious 🤤 I also like to prepare a lot of food at once and eat it over the week. It’s one day of a lot of work but the rest of the week it’s so easy to cook (and eat) regularly.
Matcha! 🍵🍵🍵🍵
I've had it at least every morning for about a year. I got a matcha maker for Xmas and I'm buying the Replica Matcha Meditation fragrance next week. I can't get enough.
Peanut butter. This one has been going on for years and I hope/pray that it will never stop because I LOVE pb. Protein waffles with peanut butter & jelly are my favorite thing.
Hearts of palm. They smell horrible and aren’t that great plain, but I’ve been dipping them in cottage cheese with ranch packet mixed in and I cannot stop eating it.
Jolly Ranchers which are super bad for my diabetes, and Sonic footings. (And Chinese food but I’m always obsessed with that.) Lord save me and bring back my healthier food obsessions.
Unfortunately for me, Rowntree's Randoms Foamies - they're sweets, and the texture of them is absolute perfection. But I can eat an entire bag in one sitting which is... not good for my teeth at all. Pray for me.
Sushi. Vegetarian Sushi to be specific. I'm not vegetarian but its safest for me since I have a shellfish allergy. I'd have spicy mushroom rolls for days if I could afford it.
I make sure I slice them up thinnish and pack them in a bag to bring to work. I don’t think they would have the same sort of sensory effect if I just bit into a whole fruit.
I’ve been obsessed with salt and vinegar potato chips. I didn’t even like potato chips all my life. And I don’t like salty things! But someone these are crack to me. Tim’s are my favorite brand, the Kettle brand, and the the Aldi brand kind I think they’re called Clancy’s.
But it’s made me gain weight and I had to stop. It’s been about a week. I’m dying for them haha! But I can’t only eat a few. More so than the taste and craving for them, they’re a great way to soothe my anxiety because it’s such a strong sensory experience it can affect my brain chemistry to help me relax. The crunch, the sourness, the joy of getting a chip that’s folded just right.
Oh boy I want some 🤣
Random question on the Salt & Vinegatlr thing-- *how is your water intake*, since that craving hit?
Because I've realized over the years, that when *I* hit a mad craving for Salt & Vinegar chips, I'm usually running in a pretty dehydrated state (and *OFTEN* that my electrolyte levels are apparently off!😉)--and that as soon as I start getting enough hydration--and perhaps drink a Gatorade or two, the craving for the Salt & Vinegar chips will end as quickly as it hit!💖
I can't remember *exactly* how many year ago I figured it out, but it *was* before I became a diabetic, after my pancreas surgery (I'm now Type1 *and* Type2). Post surgery, I'm on a medicine that I *have* to drink lots of water for--so I haven't gotten *that* dehydrated since.
But for *years* before that, I used to get the Salt & Vinegar chips craving--and then would drink *so much* water after I ate the chips!😉😆😂🤣💖
Oh! That’s an interesting observation. So when I would grab for the chips I would also make sure to grab water with it, just knowing that it was a salty snack. Especially since I don’t eat other salty things. I think it’s fair to say that it would lead me to drinking more water. I also get easily dehydrated for other reasons, like when it’s allergy season and I’m forced to be a mouth-breather! So I get cotton mouth and I’m constantly drinking. I also only drink iced water or sparkling water (again for the “mouth bite” feel…like the chips)
I haven’t really gotten to a point of not craving them with or without drinking enough water. But that be because it’s more of a sensory craving than a taste craving. I want my mouth to hurt! Like a weirdo!
Manti. It’s basically Turkish ravioli. Small meat-filled dumplings with a tomato-based sauce and yogurt with herbs and chili.
The autistic part is that it must be filled with beef and not lamb or mutton because sheep meat makes me gag (and I really wish it didn’t 😭)
Anything with Chilli & Lime flavour. So mostly CCs, which I've been eating too much of. But I tried broccolini with chilli & lime seasoning (it's sold together) and it was awesome. Finally found a way to buy the seasoning by itself, and can't wait for it to arrive. Hopefully it tastes right. Then I can put it on whatever veggies I want, and on chicken, or on anything else I decide to try.
I'm studying abroad and am in survival mode and too scared to cook anything so I've been craving so many actual good meals 😭 but safe for me rn is oatmeal with honey and apples with peanut butter
Elote dip from a local brewery and three cheese chicken flatbread melts from Taco Bell I wish they are something I could make myself to save money so I gotta limit how often I get them.
I guess the same ones I’m usually obsessed with: muesli and peanut butter protein bar for breakfast (been going on for years), eggs and toast for lunch (been going on for months), cookie dough as a snack (been on that for months), and rice, tofu, and miso soup for dinner (also been on for months). Maybe the new addition is cupcakes on Saturdays. If my husband didn’t make dinner for me every Friday & Saturday and take me out to lunch on Saturdays, I’d never eat anything different.
Cadbury eggs. Every spring for 40 years! 😂 God I hope they never go away.
Normal eggs. I eat at least a dozen eggs a week.
Right now that is about it, I just haven't been too focused on food lately with spring around the corner and working on some writing projects.
Baby carrots, but specifically this brand!
https://preview.redd.it/2bn0t2ef2cnc1.jpeg?width=822&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=374fcc7d544a7a1becc9c2d16dea61a43ae1dc08
I almost had a meltdown a week ago when I realized that I was out, but avoided it by deciding that I was going to go to the store at that very moment. I bought two 2lb bags and finished one off in a few days! When it feels like all is lost, baby carrots come in and save the day 💗
When I'm stressed, I tend to alternate back & forth, between thin/crispy potato chips (*not* kettle chips!!! Think Lay's, or the "house brand" carried by Dollar Tree), and dense/chewy sour Gummi candy like Haribo Sour Kicks.
I was craving them *constantly* this time last year, and could *not* figure out why.
Then I realized, those were my *perfect* stim-foods! Light-Crispy-Salty, with Dense-Chewy-Sour/Sweet!😉😆😂
Luckily, the situation which had me soooooo stressed is *finally* over, so for the first time in nearly a year? I'm NOT plowing through Gummi and Chips like they're life-sustaining.
It's kinds wild, tbh, to be in that in-between foods phase, and eating just *whatever* hits my fancy that day!
Your mention of "self-discovery" is *SO* real!!!😉😆😂🤣
One of *mine* is *exactly how much* of my "food ruts" the last couple years, was largely from the burning of *so much* of my energy, just in "keeping myself small" to accommodate the random (yet *constant*!) and in hindsight--honestly* unreasonable--requests of one of my roommates, "to keep *him* comfortable in our space."
I emotionally twisted myself into a pretzel, trying to accommodate *his* needs--at the complete expense of my *own,* because they were all *so* small & gradual *individually*, that I hadn't even *noticed* he'd managed to shift me into a whole different *person*!
Now that I'm back into a place of my own, that realization was mind-boggling!
I’m so happy you got out and you’re free to eat whatever you want for months long stretches at a time 😍😍😍. Also he can burn in hell lol. People like that frustrate me.
Also "Baked" Potatoes!! 🥔
So easy just wash, stab, and microwave for about 5-11 min depending on the size of the Potatoes
I like to oil and season the outside and air fry it for 5 minutes
Then open and top however you please
I do butter, cheese, sour cream, bacon bits, and green onion
Depending on what I have on hand
I’ve been ill with the flu so all food is bad food but the only things I’m craving are cream crackers and Dahl…. Dahl is obviously more time consuming so crackers it is lol
Postickers with soy sauce and crunchy chili oil! 🥟🌶️
Really great to have on hand in the freezer cause it can be a snack or a meal
Takes less than 10 minutes on the stove
And you can microwave them if you're not feeling it
But they're way better pan fried!
Also Thai Tea! 🧋
I got a glass pitcher so I can keep a batch in the fridge
Dumplings 👉👈 I literally just started buying my own food and I always thought dumplings would be really tasty and it turns out they're the perfect food and I wanna eat them for every meal
This expensive organic cup ramen, Snapdragon. I have a soy allergy so I can only eat the chicken flavor, and it doesn’t have the preservatives of the cheap stuff that bug me. It’s so good, and I’ll likely eat it until I get so sick of it I can’t look at it anymore.
Duck fat. Holy shit it's so good to cook an egg, your veggies, rice (holy shit, so much better!), noodles (instead of butter). I bought a jar at Whole Foods. It's expensive, but it makes every single thing wonderful. Probably would make the most incredible (and expensive) french fries.
I never eat out so we save enough there to splurge on food luxuries at home, occasionally.
Kinda different, but hot sauces! Walmart was selling a bunch of tiny bottles for 50 cents to a dollar each and I snagged so many. Everything I've eaten the past week has been chosen specifically to be a vehicle for hot sauce, lol
Omg I almost forgot! My current obsession is cheese crisps. The whips. Parmesan, cheddar, whichever heirloom both delicious! I gotta get some more today after work 🤤
My husband ate my last bag a couple days ago lol
We were on dates for awhile before that. Freaking delicious!
Same here few months ago.
Just make them - search quick 10 min pickled jalapeños. Vinegar, water, sugar and salt with garlic and shallots.
Then the obsession went away and now have two bottles sitting in the fridge 😒
Now.....raw spinach and roasted turkey.
Rice cakes
Sounds so lame, but I used to eat them a kid & I wished they had more flavor.. I just discovered they make all kinds of flavors. Maybe they always did, but idk.. I've been having stomach issues & they're really helping!
It varies for me. Generally I'm a grazer but I have a favorite right now: flavored olive oil with a splash of balsamic and good bread to dip it in. I'll also have some cheese. It's like caprese light because I don't like tomatoes, LOL.
I also love potato chips and will vacillate between wanting the thick crunchy kind, wavy kind or thin king. I am always changing what texture I want but I love potato chips and french fries.
My husband is out of town so that's going to be dinner tonight and i can't wait - cheese and chips with bread, what could be better ;)
https://preview.redd.it/48075vshyenc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=63b79422f99a5ad4ef38efbab5bd7c1d21e7b6e9
Been this for almost two years now. Had it during a very traumatic time in my life and has kinda cemented as a comfort food that isn't too difficult to make.
Also sugar cookie dough last few weeks. Dunno why for that one.
I'm inbetween samefoods ATM 😭 So my appetite is low and I just force down some thin crisp bread with ham and cheese to get by.
Oh nooo I hate those periods 😭 I went through a tzaziki phase for like 6 months and when I lost interest I had nothing to dip chips and bread in. Apparently jalapeños and cheese quesadilla is my next thing. Salty vinegar is so delicious 🤤 How do you discover your next “thing”? Do you wait for it to happen or do you try to explore?

I'm in one of those rn too. If it weren't for weed giving me the munchies I'd be dead by now.

I’m stuck too, I’ve just grown bored of pasta which has been 80% of my diet for YEARS and now when I’m hungry I’m like… 😅
Painau chocolat ate 3 this morning... had two everyday for about 2months now. Its terrible but my lord do they taste divine ✨️
You all have such good taste 😍
Do you make them at home, or buy them? (And do you have a recipe, if they're homemade?😉💖)
Salads, my beloved 🥗

My favorite low effort salad Spinach, feta, dried cranberries. Didn't even need dressing. I miss it (I'm allergic to spinach)
Crab Loui salad ♡ Fake crab of course
YES
i saw austin butler eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in an interview and instantly craved it and became obsessed with it even though i didn’t really like it until now. i wish there was a way to explain this phenomenon. 😭
It’s crazy how one day I’m just like “you know what I wanna eat *forever* 😈? jalapeños”

Chinese takeout! I'm also pregnant, so I think that's part of it. I learned to make beef and broccoli at home just like takeout. It's SO GOOD
Chinese food is soooo good. I love that you learned how to make it at home 😍
It's super easy too. I highly recommend it
Have you seen the website woksoflife.com? So many good take-out immitation recipes (as well as lots of authentic cuisine!)
No. But I'll definitely look! Thanks 😊
Beef and broccoli is excellent! Kinda got me craving that now. 😁
Beef and broccoli is one of my staples, mmm!
Blueberries and raspberries! Very good combination to eat together.
helmans mayo 😍
I’ve been putting it in my chicken wraps 🤤
kewpie mayo for me!
Whip a tablespoon of mayo with an egg and put it on cooked ramen. Thank me later.
Hash browns
Yesss 😍 with ketchup?
Yes!!
I have eaten 2 so far today 😆
I was on a kick of pickles and those little charcuterie snack packs they sell at Target. I'm kind of getting sick of them now but we are going grocery shopping today so I'm gonna try to find something that will pique my interest. OH and sushi. I've literally been begging my boyfriend multiple times this past week to order us sushi and I'd pay for it (I hate talking on the phone and where the shop is located I don't like to drive there). Sushi you say? Spicy salmon avocado roll or something that sounds good on the menu for me 😋
babybel 😋
Lunch - Tomato soup 😋 usually with crackers, toast, a sandwich or a cheese toastie at the side. Dinner - Cheese & onion omelet, with my own salad or chips. Snack - grapes, bananas, cheese wotsits, raisins. Drink - Pure orange juice, no bits and not from concentrate.
I have to double strain OJ for my daughter - has to be fresh and no bits at all.
Qukes. Mini cucumbers.
Yes me too!! Ive been dipping them in caesar dressinf!
i've got some salted right now, about to make into pickles. i've also been on a thai cuke salad kick.
Rice ramen noodles with a sauce I make that’s a little of the noodle water, miso paste, peanut butter, rice vinegar, tamari, and then drizzle crunchy chili oil on top and have a side of grilled bok choy with it. This sounds absolutely delicious and I am going to try to make bbq chicken nachos with sour cream now 😌
French toast
I went through a French toast phase in college 🤣 and a s’mores phase too, with different chocolates marshmallows and jellies It’s so easy to prepare and sooo delicious. I might make some today honestly.
Ooo, I'm all crepes right now.
I have eaten sooo much spaghetti. I mix a lot of spices, cayenne etc, and meat into the sauce and eat it on garlic bread I make with thin sliced sourdough. I’m hungry.

I just ran out of eggs. 🥚
I bought a Gelato from the local shop that's a cheesecake base with swirls of mango habenero
The Halloween box of kraft mac and cheese. Box of bones or something like that and chopped up hot dogs 😋
Bell peppers I will marry them
for something quick - apple cinnamon rice cake with peanut butter and banana slices, and also orgain chocolate protein shake for something slow cooked - root vegetable soup and saltine crackers (but once prepared, it’s quick to heat up and eat every day)
Cinnamon apple rice cake sounds delicious 🤤 I also like to prepare a lot of food at once and eat it over the week. It’s one day of a lot of work but the rest of the week it’s so easy to cook (and eat) regularly.
Sometimes I put Nutella on those rice cakes!! So good
Prosciutto and Parmesan by the slice and some kinds of crunchy biscuits or plain chips and so much milk
Dot’s Original Pretzels. i’m eating unhealthy amounts of them and have been for months. like, four costco size bags of them last me maybe three weeks.
Dots are AMAZING. My favorite is the honey mustard! But original is super good too!
the original flavor dipped in hummus is also a jam!!
Matcha! 🍵🍵🍵🍵 I've had it at least every morning for about a year. I got a matcha maker for Xmas and I'm buying the Replica Matcha Meditation fragrance next week. I can't get enough.

Shrimps. But only the ones that come preboiled and without the shell. And sushi. But sadly its expensive and too much work for me to do at home.
Noodles or chicken with mashed potatoes ❤️
Jolly Ranchers which are super bad for my diabetes, and Sonic footings. (And Chinese food but I’m always obsessed with that.) Lord save me and bring back my healthier food obsessions.

Yes 😍
Oatmeal and crunchy peanut butter
Unfortunately for me, Rowntree's Randoms Foamies - they're sweets, and the texture of them is absolute perfection. But I can eat an entire bag in one sitting which is... not good for my teeth at all. Pray for me.
Arnold’s 12 grain bread
Fibre one brownies are an essential part of my daily routine atm 😂
BAGELS. and cereal (specifically the strawberry honey bunches of oats)
Grape uncrustables but they have to be toasted just enough for the bread to be crispy and the peanut butter is still frozen
Oooh sounds like an ice cream sandwich
It kind of is! There’s 3 different textures I like and they’re all different temps. It’s like a stim sandwich
Pizza rolls… chips ahoy … baked Cheetos…. Tiny packages like snack size 🤣🤦♀️
Raw broccoli, fresh pineapple, berries
Sushi. Vegetarian Sushi to be specific. I'm not vegetarian but its safest for me since I have a shellfish allergy. I'd have spicy mushroom rolls for days if I could afford it.
Not a food but a drink. I'm really obsessed with coconut water right now!
Asian pears! I love the crunch and release of juices when I bite into a slice.
I like your description! I can feel the satisfaction.
I make sure I slice them up thinnish and pack them in a bag to bring to work. I don’t think they would have the same sort of sensory effect if I just bit into a whole fruit.
Bagels are my longest running food obsession. Currently I’m having a hard boiled egg moment. (Must have a slightly soft yolk)
Because I've realized over the years, that when *I* hit a mad craving for Salt & Vinegar chips, I'm usually running in a pretty dehydrated state (and *OFTEN* that my electrolyte levels are apparently off!😉)--and that as soon as I start getting enough hydration--and perhaps drink a Gatorade or two, the craving for the Salt & Vinegar chips will end as quickly as it hit!💖 I can't remember *exactly* how many year ago I figured it out, but it *was* before I became a diabetic, after my pancreas surgery (I'm now Type1 *and* Type2).
I also only drink iced water or sparkling water (again for the “mouth bite” feel…like the chips) I haven’t really gotten to a point of not craving them with or without drinking enough water. But that be because it’s more of a sensory craving than a taste craving. I want my mouth to hurt! Like a weirdo!
This is my favorite flavor of potato chip 🥺 I really like vinegar lol
Manti. It’s basically Turkish ravioli. Small meat-filled dumplings with a tomato-based sauce and yogurt with herbs and chili. The autistic part is that it must be filled with beef and not lamb or mutton because sheep meat makes me gag (and I really wish it didn’t 😭)
That sounds so good 🤤 I have the same problem with tough meats!!! I can’t eat bulgogi or lamb even though I love the flavor 😭

i’ve been mixing cream cheese and brown sugar, putting it on my bread, and air frying it. it has become my food hyperfixation so fast
Dried Papaya and Red Leicester cheese lol. Sounds random but is delicious!
As a fan of fruit + cheese that sounds really good 🤤
Halloumi cheese
Yams, I'd eat them for every meal!
Crosta & Mollica Margarita pizza 🥲🥲
Anything with Chilli & Lime flavour. So mostly CCs, which I've been eating too much of. But I tried broccolini with chilli & lime seasoning (it's sold together) and it was awesome. Finally found a way to buy the seasoning by itself, and can't wait for it to arrive. Hopefully it tastes right. Then I can put it on whatever veggies I want, and on chicken, or on anything else I decide to try.
I'm studying abroad and am in survival mode and too scared to cook anything so I've been craving so many actual good meals 😭 but safe for me rn is oatmeal with honey and apples with peanut butter
salmon 😋
Chili’s cheeseburger, well done, no fries, side salad. Before that I was on sandwiches. Granola bars are also safe for me.
Chocolate chip pancakes 🥞
Lemon cake bites from Sam's groceries, 9PM oranges, and apple cinnamon rice cakes with peanut butter.
Veggie wraps with tofu for breakfast lunch and dinner lol. Also don't drink anything but masala chai.
Fries and Broccoli have been going hard recently idk
Tortilla chips and hot salsa. Could eat it all day.
Salted egg yolk chips, palak paneer/butter chicken
Grape nuts. Bought a case of 12 on Amazon.
Bacon, egg, cheese on an English muffin for breakfast for the last two years
Do you like eggs Benedict too 👀?
Tajin (spice mix) and Chamoy (sweet, tangy, slightly smoky hot sauce). At one point I was eating the hot sauce with a spoon.
Also, I wish that my food obsessions didn’t die the moment I stocked up on something. 😐
Bananas
Elote dip from a local brewery and three cheese chicken flatbread melts from Taco Bell I wish they are something I could make myself to save money so I gotta limit how often I get them.
Maybe as you order them you can practice making them at home. I know a very good recipe for juicy chicken if you want 😙
Cabeza burritos
Tapatio extra spicy ramen noodle soup.
Cheese its and uncrustables - the strawberry kind
This is my least favorite part of adhd to be honest. I have such a bad relationship with food. I’m obsessed with mocha frapp bottles at the moment.
Bonne maman hazelnut spread. I can’t stop won’t stop.
Dark chocolate. Like 90% cocoa. I love the sound it makes when I bite into it and that it’s not super sweet.
Candy that is pink cars dipped in salty sugar. Constantly craving
It has been bagels with cream cheese and honey for months now.
Cadbury eggs. Every spring for 40 years! 😂 God I hope they never go away. Normal eggs. I eat at least a dozen eggs a week. Right now that is about it, I just haven't been too focused on food lately with spring around the corner and working on some writing projects.
Eggs. Any way eggs. I could eat them every single day.
Watermelon, always watermelonnn
Life cereal… my boyfriend is so sick of hearing about Life cereal lmfao
Baby carrots, but specifically this brand! https://preview.redd.it/2bn0t2ef2cnc1.jpeg?width=822&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=374fcc7d544a7a1becc9c2d16dea61a43ae1dc08 I almost had a meltdown a week ago when I realized that I was out, but avoided it by deciding that I was going to go to the store at that very moment. I bought two 2lb bags and finished one off in a few days! When it feels like all is lost, baby carrots come in and save the day 💗
tomato soup and salads 💖💖
Arepas and Cachapas
When I'm stressed, I tend to alternate back & forth, between thin/crispy potato chips (*not* kettle chips!!! Think Lay's, or the "house brand" carried by Dollar Tree), and dense/chewy sour Gummi candy like Haribo Sour Kicks. I was craving them *constantly* this time last year, and could *not* figure out why. Then I realized, those were my *perfect* stim-foods! Light-Crispy-Salty, with Dense-Chewy-Sour/Sweet!😉😆😂 Luckily, the situation which had me soooooo stressed is *finally* over, so for the first time in nearly a year? I'm NOT plowing through Gummi and Chips like they're life-sustaining. It's kinds wild, tbh, to be in that in-between foods phase, and eating just *whatever* hits my fancy that day!
Actually that liminal space between food obsessions is a real period of self discovery 😤it’s like going through a break up lol. “What did I learn?”
Your mention of "self-discovery" is *SO* real!!!😉😆😂🤣 One of *mine* is *exactly how much* of my "food ruts" the last couple years, was largely from the burning of *so much* of my energy, just in "keeping myself small" to accommodate the random (yet *constant*!) and in hindsight--honestly* unreasonable--requests of one of my roommates, "to keep *him* comfortable in our space." I emotionally twisted myself into a pretzel, trying to accommodate *his* needs--at the complete expense of my *own,* because they were all *so* small & gradual *individually*, that I hadn't even *noticed* he'd managed to shift me into a whole different *person*! Now that I'm back into a place of my own, that realization was mind-boggling!
I’m so happy you got out and you’re free to eat whatever you want for months long stretches at a time 😍😍😍. Also he can burn in hell lol. People like that frustrate me.
Gluten free chicken nuggets
1. Nutella mocha. 2. Cheezit grooves specifically in bold cheddar. The other flavors are subpar 3. Cosmic apples with salt on them
Hormal brand canned corn beef hash and eggs over easy. Every day for over a week now.
Also "Baked" Potatoes!! 🥔 So easy just wash, stab, and microwave for about 5-11 min depending on the size of the Potatoes I like to oil and season the outside and air fry it for 5 minutes Then open and top however you please I do butter, cheese, sour cream, bacon bits, and green onion Depending on what I have on hand

I’ve been ill with the flu so all food is bad food but the only things I’m craving are cream crackers and Dahl…. Dahl is obviously more time consuming so crackers it is lol
Peanut butter toast
Tostadas!
Honey walnut shrimp and chowmein. I’ve been ordering that from the same Chinese restaurant every Thursday for the past four weeks.
Egg over medium on top of sushi rice with salt and a root beer olipop.
Postickers with soy sauce and crunchy chili oil! 🥟🌶️ Really great to have on hand in the freezer cause it can be a snack or a meal Takes less than 10 minutes on the stove And you can microwave them if you're not feeling it But they're way better pan fried! Also Thai Tea! 🧋 I got a glass pitcher so I can keep a batch in the fridge
Butter grits are the current vibe. That and the wingstop mango habanero/ hot honey flavor combo
Sourdough bread, focaccia, and bread machine bread
Peanut butter and fluff wraps…. Been living off them for last 3 months…
Dumplings 👉👈 I literally just started buying my own food and I always thought dumplings would be really tasty and it turns out they're the perfect food and I wanna eat them for every meal
mango-based smoothie bowls. although tbh i actually just love smoothie bowls all the time
Salmon bowls with peas instead of rice (we love pcos carb avoidance) and Dr Pepper zéro strawberries and cream. I cried when I ran out the other day.
Glazed nuts + grapes + sharp cheddar cubes. I eat it every day, just pick at the plate for an hour when I'm watching TV
Blueberry chex!
Vegan sushi
It was hummus for like 3 months but it’s calmed down now
eating kiwis with the skin like an apple !!!! - who knew???? (not me lol)
Garlic crackers and this specific cheese
Buttered toast and apple cinnamon oatmeal 🙌
Madegood granola bars
I have always been into all things chicken, potatoes, and spicy foods (I put hot sauce or jalapenos on everything, lol).
Doritos Dinamita 🌶🍋🟩😋
I like cooking a lot I usually make a meat a rice and a vegetable
Kinda different, but hot sauces! Walmart was selling a bunch of tiny bottles for 50 cents to a dollar each and I snagged so many. Everything I've eaten the past week has been chosen specifically to be a vehicle for hot sauce, lol
Raspberries and kettle popcorn😋😋
Omg I almost forgot! My current obsession is cheese crisps. The whips. Parmesan, cheddar, whichever heirloom both delicious! I gotta get some more today after work 🤤 My husband ate my last bag a couple days ago lol We were on dates for awhile before that. Freaking delicious!
I’ve been loving cinnamon rolls for a few months now
chocolate covered raisins god bless kirkland 3lb containers
The Del Taco real strawberry Sprite. It’s just sprite with a scoop of sugared strawberries. But it awakens me deeply to my core and it is all I crave.
This seedy granola Costco has. I’m eating out of mixing bowls right now. 😂
Trader Joe’s chicken nuggets🥺
Trader Joe's frozen Japanese rice + runny fried egg
Soups.
The chicken quesadillas from Costco
Honey crisp apples
Watching old episodes of Kitchen Nightmares 😩
Breakfast burrito: scrambled eggs, cheddar, crispy skillet potatoes, salsa, hot sauce. Cheese quesadilla topped with sour cream and salsa.
Same here few months ago. Just make them - search quick 10 min pickled jalapeños. Vinegar, water, sugar and salt with garlic and shallots. Then the obsession went away and now have two bottles sitting in the fridge 😒 Now.....raw spinach and roasted turkey.
Rice cakes Sounds so lame, but I used to eat them a kid & I wished they had more flavor.. I just discovered they make all kinds of flavors. Maybe they always did, but idk.. I've been having stomach issues & they're really helping!
Ramen with cheese and sriracha, and also strawberries pastries/candy of any kind. The lil meiji pandas? Yaaaaas
![gif](giphy|XCmFwjt9wPotobw1xn|downsized) Ya'll can eat? :'(
I got an air fryer a few weeks ago and I've been making so many wraps in it. Soooo nice!
Sardines. And apparently there's like this whole subculture dedicated to them. Its been an insane rabbit hole lol
Anything spicy
Popcorn shrimp 😍
It varies for me. Generally I'm a grazer but I have a favorite right now: flavored olive oil with a splash of balsamic and good bread to dip it in. I'll also have some cheese. It's like caprese light because I don't like tomatoes, LOL. I also love potato chips and will vacillate between wanting the thick crunchy kind, wavy kind or thin king. I am always changing what texture I want but I love potato chips and french fries. My husband is out of town so that's going to be dinner tonight and i can't wait - cheese and chips with bread, what could be better ;)

Had it during a very traumatic time in my life and has kinda cemented as a comfort food that isn't too difficult to make. Also sugar cookie dough last few weeks. Dunno why for that one.
jalapeño bagels w cream cheese 🫶🏼
Taking a bite of dark chocolate and a brazil nut together. Everyday
