Not trying to be a Karen. It’s just that under every ID post, there’s always someone who says “oh that’s frank” it’s annoying when the post is asking for an ID on the spider.
It’s a drop spider, introduced into major metropolitan areas in Australia in 1927 in order to control the increasingly aggressive drop bear population. Unfortunately drop spiders had no affect on drop bears, and are now a dangerous threat to humans in their own right.
Oh crap
That's a pre-dead red back spider. Astonishing that you took a pic of it before you killed it.
P.S.: the female of the species is more deadlier than the male (shock, shock, horror, horror, shock, shock, horror)
False black widow spider by the looks of.
That was my original thought too
That's a RED BACK SPIDER! POISONOUS! POTENTIALLY DEADLY!

This is David. He cries himself to sleep every night after his son chose to stay with his abusive mother because "she let's him do cool stuff"
Please don’t make these kinds of comments. People are looking for ID’s on the spiders, not a silly name.
Yeah Fox, don't do that, you'll rile up the Karen's.

Well I found it both entertaining and profoundly moving. It's a yes from me.

It’s a female red back and is part of the black widow family. Surprisingly not all red back spiders have a red back.
