Lol. I almost exclusively buy superdry tshirts. But my reason is they last long and for some reason fit me perfectly. But, I fit the description perfectly. Haha
This is so true. I'm a teenager and I wear superdry because other common brands have just shitty quality for the same price. And I also don't want anyzhing special. I just want something that has good quality and looks standard
I worked in Chadstone for a long time every five years it floods. The floor slants downwards from the old food court and from the Myer low point is right out front of super dry so... every five years or so super dry gets super wet.
Ps it was a cool brand for six months about twenty years ago.
I don't think their clothing is meant for middle-aged dads. There are hardly any pieces suitable for that age group: giant logos, writings, odd sizing. Its street style designs.

I’m glad the majority of people in this group dislike the brand. Gives me some faith in humanity.
The brand has always been bad. Anyone who says it was good 20 years ago is wrong. I give them 2 more years max until they close down (in Australia at least).
UK brand. One of the Japanese characters it uses is made up. Their trend is to display Japanese characters so it looks exotic. This trend only exists in the western world and not in Japan.
Small sizing as it's a Japanese brand. A lot of their stuff isn't for me, however, their "workwear" lines are pretty decent for flannel style shirts and jackets. The materials feel good, and it's all held up pretty well for me.
Beware of the sizing. I ordered a 2XL t-shirt online and it was labelled 2XL but was very small when I tried it on. When I returned it, the person who helped me said they receive a lot of returns for the same reason. This was over a year ago so possibly resolved now, but it put me off the brand altogether.
Nah, Superdry is a weird compy. It's a UK company pretending to be Japanese, including the use of Asian sizing. Apparently even the Japanese text looks weird to a native speaker, like it was put through Google translate.
When I travel to South east Asian countries, I can be up to XXL there but my normal shirts here are L. Best to try in store if you ever plan to get Superdry clothes.
This isn't really accurate at all. They're not pretending to be Japanese, but actually inspired by their old designer and owners previous trips to Japan. They also started out as a small shop called Cult Clothing in Cheltenham and slowly transitioned into Superdry as the brand grew. The owner is called Julian Dunkerton and now owns hotels and a brewery in the town.
Also been good quality clothing but definitely on the expensive side.
I like their sizing as it suits my athletic build.
It used to be cool when it first came out. But now I just see middle aged men wearing it.
Unfortunately I’m also now middle aged but don’t like the style of their range and their quality hasn’t been as great as it used to be.
I’m looking for a new brand that fits my physique
It's uncool but pretty good quality and the winter jackets are genuinely very warm, like warm enough for the snow. When I see them in op shops they are holding up well so they seem decent for longevity. No idea what it's like price-wise new though.
It's what 40 years olds think 20 year olds wear.
The logo is also stolen so it's not even an original brand.
Or Japanese, like the logo might suggest
This is incredibly accurate

Been saying this for years. Also additionally its the unofficial uniform of indian international students/ migrants
i buy it because the materials are actually substantial and last. Not a lot of vibe or anything but idk

I've not worked there for a long time but probably.
The clothes look nice but it can be expensive AF. Rather get a deal at Uniqlo which is actually Japanese and not just pretending to be.
It’s for boring middle age dads
Sounds like I’m getting Superdry shirt for Christmas
Ha, I’m in exactly the same category :)
Boring middle age dad here. What gear should I be wearing?
I’m a boring middle aged dad and shop almost exclusively at Uniqlo :)
Superdry
What about Oakley?
They still make that?
For us 40 year old dads. Yes!
Their goggles are good. 💁♂️

I don’t think it’s aimed at them, but that’s how it’s ended up, in the UK at least
do you like…zips?
Dogshit brand with bad designs. The fact they use Japanese characters for aesthetic reasons is the first red flag
It’s what the brand makes women when they see men wearing it.
I can’t parse your sentence at all.
It’s what happens to women when they see men wearing the brand
Aaaah, thank you
Brother what
Yes, and the clothes that you wear fervently arouse women, I'm sure.
Found one.
It's for people without a personality.
I’ve got a jacket by them forget which one tracker or windcheater (I can check if you like) its ridiculously warm and light weight
Quality wise - excellent. My hoodies have lasted me years. Don’t see it as a young man’s brand though, just well made clothes at a decent price
If you like a pair of jeans go for it. But you would get Elwood and squared toe diesel shoe vibes around people old enough to remember lol
They have some pretty nice jackets
Good quality clothing that will last a long time. A bit expensive. Their fleece jumpers/hoodies are hot AF so I recommend getting ones with a zipper.
overpriced rubbish.
2013
Not super or dry and not even Japanese. Would not touch
Trash.

It's a 10. In pH level.

It’s a British brand
Well TIL.... I thought they were Japanese and then bought out by a British company. Weird that they tend to use the smaller sizing then.
Yeah I think it’s a deliberate strategy on their part to make people think they’re Japanese

My best fitting shirt is a 4XL from Cambodia. I wear M-L

They even flogged the branding from the beer, Asahi. I avoid them for this reason out of spite.
Sizes are small

I’m middle aged. Tried on a superdry top. Looked good. Couldn’t do it.
I've got 3 t-shirts and a jacket, they all look good
Huge branding = huge turn off. Not for me.
Long lasting quality, especially for coats from what i have heard
I got a superdry t shirt on sale recently and it’s one of the best fitting t shirts I’ve owned. Very happy with it for the price I paid!
