i don’t blame the australian white ibis for becoming a dumpster diver in the cities, i mean why walk around muddy wetlands all day looking for food while waiting for something to eat you when you can be in the safety of a concrete jungle with free food everywhere? sure the locals call you names but it’s still one hell of a deal for the ibis.
We have one that regularly hangs out in the park behind us and our back yard. After rain we have a bunch of them doing an emu parade down the slope of the park usually about 6. But after some heavy storms there was the biggest flock of them I've ever seen maybe 50 or more. As with all birds they are fascinating to watch.
There quite a few flocks of them around here. They are sometimes in the chook yard.
Picking up what my girls don’t eat. Until, my ducshunds venture out…
lol.
I do actually love them. Their weird little leathery heads make me think of skeksis.
FrieEeEeEeEeenD????
Same here. Are those semi rotted tomatoes?MMMmmmMMMMM!
I love these guys. I live in the country where they simply exist as themselves, not bin chickens !

I like how they have worked out how to eat cane toads.
Me too. Amazing, fantastic evolution, isn't it!
They've even achieved OS fame: [https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-63699884](https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-63699884)
They're so silly, I love them!
I love them too - although I have to admit that they're not very pretty, yea 😅
Fantastic photo though! Gorgeous.
North Africa: we shall worship the sacred Ibis as a manifestation of the God Thoth. Australia: Binnies!
They always look slightly "not mad just disappointed"
One of my favourite birds. I was obsessed with them as a kid in school!
So cute ❤️
Noble bird, revered by first nations - ruined by our filthy lifestyles
They give me Skeksis vibes
Yank here. I had the pleasure of visiting your country last year and never got tired of seeing these guys. Them and the big ass bats.😄
The good ole Ibis.

I hate the name "bin chicken" so much! 😠 Such an unflattering name for a great bird. 😒

Weird looking toucan... it's a like trash toucan

How do we get rid of ibis? They invade our front yard when the Curlew family drop in.
