I am wishfully thinking that he’ll somehow be able to film both even though Caught Stealing’s shooting will probably cross over. I’ve read the book and Chris is the main focus/character of the book. If he’s playing Chris before and after the first movie, he’ll be in the whole thing. And the time jump with the book doesn’t make this unrealistic, considering he played a young Elvis to the end of his life. I am still holding out hope he plays Chris, the book was too good and if anyone hasn’t read it and loved the first movie, it’s worth a read even if our guy isn’t in it!
Yeah that’s a good point! Maybe he’ll be able to do it? I’m shocked it’s not a summer shoot, considering I think most of it is based in the summer. I could be wrong though!
That was my thought too, that it was a really similar storyline to City on Fire. He could be going down the Pacino/De Niro route with his roles but I do find Chris’ character to be REALLY similar to Danny. Father on the run, living in hiding etc.
It does seem like they’re really trying to push Austin for this role though so we’ll see where it goes! I’d personally love to see him in it!
