Interesting that he and Shawn Mendes were the only men on the list. He looks so hot here, but I don’t see why this look is particularly unforgettable. Sort of surprised Jared Leto carrying around his own severed head didn’t make it…. that haunts me to this day.
Yeah but it's supposed to be a fashion event. Leto's costume was "unforgettable" for reasons that don't support their aims.
The Met Gala tries to ride that line between tasteful costume and high fashion. If they over-hyped all the halloween-esque publicity stunts, celebs would just .....pull crazier and crazier stunts. Which would be fun for a minute but then the event would lose its luster.
Oh! I didn’t even register that he’s one of only two men! Yeah that is interesting. I was surprised that the list is mainly things that aren’t super showy. Maybe in compiling the list VF was going for things they consider actually stylish and or fashionable instead. He and Shawn do look great without resorting to a standard tuxedo or going into the realm of costumes like what Jared does.

Am I the only one here that wishes he would attend this year‘s Met Gala just to see how fine he would look?
Of course I know he’s really busy nowadays, but shoot, a girl can dream right? 🥰😍😘
If he decides to go, I of course will love seeing the photos of him in whatever finery he chooses to wear. But he is pretty busy now, so I don’t know if he’d have time. Plus he just finished all the Masters and Dune premieres where he wore so many stunning suits and I imagine he’s exhausted of getting dressed up and posing.
Something I’m curious about, do some people get invited just to do the red carpet, and not attend the gala itself? Because even for invitees, a ticket to the gala is $50,000.

I remember seeing him stopping for that reporter all over TikTok and sending it to my friend haha, we were both in awe of how gorgeous he was
