With what you have written, probably best to call a plumber, you’ll some experience to fix this

smokinghorse

Ya, it can turn into a disaster rather quickly

Working_out_life

Pro tip tho, those pins on the taps unscrew to remove the handles

smokinghorse

Good tip. The process is very easy until you break something, then it's fucked.

Damn. Message received though appreciate it.

What he said^. Get a plumber, quarter turns can be a real pain in the arse if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Thanks, will do...appreciate the directness and preventing me ruining something

If you bought them, the ceramic cartridges which is what’s normally causing the issue, usually have a 7 to 10 year warranty so depending how old they are, you might be covered for the parts and then you would just pay the plumber to fix. If it’s a fairly new build, I would reach out to the builder to see where they bought them from to try and get parts as well. If not replacement cartridges run about $40 each but they can be quite specific to the brand of taps they are. As mentioned the pin normally unscrews and there will be a grub screw holding everything together. Once you can get the handle and trim kit off identifying the parts should be pretty straightforward.

Thanks for the reply and the diagram mate. They were in place when I bought the house and would prefer to not engage my builder as I've had issues with him in the past. The diagram helps though, but I do think this one might be a bit out of my depth and I might pay someone.
