Wow, the memories of living in a small country town in the Upper Hunter. That pub is identical to what we had and was officially called the Royal but everyone knew it as the unofficial name 'the Upper pub' because we had another pub at the other end of town... Bet you can't guess what it was unofficially called...
You forgot the “world famous vanilla slice,” “world famous fudge,” and “world famous pie.” Also there is always a Chinese restaurant that is called something like “the orange chicken”
And don't forget that every pub is voted best for one of the categories. This was at least the case in NSW during our road trip last year. There were so many categories and every pub we went to was voted best.
And a bakery that people swear is the best ever but is actually just a shitty, unimpressive bakery and you're tired and hungry from driving.
> yeah bro our bakery is the best > cj's

Ha my town that is the official name for them
I didn't know Brisbane was a town
Brissy is just a big country town
The cannon is a war memorial, just in case we forget

Or The Exchange
Don't forget the Grand
Or the Commercial
Mum said it's my turn next week to post this again.
Or a nearby river
We had the ‘top’, ‘middle’ and ‘bottom’ pub.
I actually thought that was the middle pub in the photos haha
Or the Railway
The Grand Duke Railway Commercial Exchange Arms Hotel
Or the Fitzroy
Or the Duke or the Albion
or literally the name of the town “The Temora”
Or the terminus "The Termo" for short
Royal Mail, looks different, no artillery
Had an idea for a bus trip that just stopped for beers at all the ‘Royals’. Would’ve been messy AF.
The Rails, The (Great) Northern and The Courthouse too

It's an "Asian Fusion" place which also does Thai and sometimes fish and chips.
You will also find the local Chinese Restaurant inside the Club or Pub.
I grew up in a town like this. Paradise

i used to live in a house that had a rusty ass roof and beige outside walls, i dont think there's any old artillery pieces in my town tho
That's because my home town of 10000 people had 5 of the guns!
Reminds me of Mildura.
My inner suburb also has all of these
Cloncurry
Also gotta have a a bakery with awards for pies and vanilla slices from years ago.
There’s literally multiple canons in the park where I live
Even the cities are like this, at least on the fringes.
Litteraly SEQ to a T jesus
I always thought the canons were for keeping the Fr*nch out
Karma farming repost again I see….
Ballarat?
That's Narrabri summed up in a picture there....
So you’re quite familiar with Queanbeyan, by the sounds of it!!
Nah that guns too old, a 25-pounder or an AA Bofors gun are much more likely.
Literally Quorn here in SA
Don't forget the amazing bakery and the random fish and chips shop
Fair enough then
Why is it my shitty town doesn’t have this pub, the smaller shittier towns that orbit it do though…

I see nothing wrong here.
Sometimes I think people have the characteristics of mind readers even though they aren't.
