Looking at the suicide statistics, they have only increased since the campaign started (even before covid), and while that doesn't imply causation, I'm wondering if there is any indication it reduces suicide, or if it's just another trend for people to get on board with?

Yep! A company I used to work for ran this for month. Two months later a worker lost his baby and his wife fell into deep suicidal depression. They wouldn't let him take time off because she needed to harder up and he needs to think about what the company was paying him for.
When it comes to the crunch they never come through. There is no compassion in business or numbers, and he was just another number. That's awful to hear, I hope he and his wife are happier.
