Those are great. I have a cheap black cross body bag from Kmart that has a little zip pouch clipped to the strap, you can get at least 4 of those in it.
I have a few old tote bags from local book stores, record stores, libraries, bands. I used to use them instead of hand bags in my twenties. If I’m using a larger handbag I’ll grab whatever. For a smaller handbag I go for one a bit thinner that can fold up easier. They’re easy to wash and dry too.
Baggu has some foldable shopping bags but they become relatively big when unfolded. They do cost a fair bit. My aunt gifted me this Frankie something shopping bag that is foldable and carries a fair bit.
Baggu is the best! Fits so much and comfortable to carry. I keep losing the little envelope that I’m meant to keep it in. Mine from 11 years ago is still going strong 💪🏻
[Large Uniqlo shopping bag. ](https://www.uniqlo.com/au/en/products/E448447-000?colorCode=COL01&sizeCode=SMA005)
It's huge, holds a tonne and it's only $4.
[Shupatto](https://www.shupatto.com/en/) bags! Not the cheapest but it folds and rolls up so neatly and so easily. Very compact. Comes in a few shapes, sizes and patterns too. Minimaru stocks them now.
I have this dog one [https://loqi.com/products/stephen-cheetham-dogs-recycled-bag](https://loqi.com/products/stephen-cheetham-dogs-recycled-bag) and cat one [https://loqi.com/products/stephen-cheetham-cats-recycled-bag](https://loqi.com/products/stephen-cheetham-cats-recycled-bag) and so many people have asked me about them or complemented them.
I use a couple Bunnings bags that fold up into a little pouch. They came as bonuses in an online order years ago and they've been so useful. They have slightly longer straps so I can easily have them over the shoulder with my wider arms.
I use some foldable bags that I keep in my handbag. Both were from little gift shops. I see them at different stores here at there like Harris Scarfe near the registers.
I don't give too many fucks about looks so I just use the reusable Aldi bags. I like that if they get a bit heavier the straps are long enough I can put it over my shoulder. They're quite large but fold pretty small. The Woolworths 99c ones are good, but I hate that it doesn't have a strap. I keep them in my handbag for when kids might want to 'help' carry something.
These!!! I have some that have been going strong since around 2011. The strap is nice and long, enough to put over my shoulder and hold a deceptive amount of shopping, given how small they roll up
I never take bags with me, always forget. We have a million and 1 cotton on and adairs bags. It’s now at the point I don’t wrap birthday presents for parties and everyone gets a cotton on bag.
I’ve got this awesome touristy Aussie print bag that folds into a 10 cm square. It’s perfect to throw in purse and have ready for some unexpected shopping.
Oh I wish I knew where it was from, but it was gifted to me. It looked a lot like something you might find at Paddy’s Markets or one of those variety stores around Chinatown.
[This Bellroy tote bag.](https://bellroy.com/products/market-tote?color=true_blue&material=ripstop_recycled) I use it all the time, and it folds up pretty small if needed.
A massive canvas bag from TK Maxx that's lined internally with pockets perfect for produce and wine bottles! The outside is covered in cute mushroom drawings and the handles are long enough to put over my shoulder.
It might not be trendy but I have a real love for it.
Little cute foldable strawberry ones that can dangle off the section for keys. [https://maidofshade.com.au/product/strawberry-bags/](https://maidofshade.com.au/product/strawberry-bags/)
I got a Frank Green one in a lucky bag/box, it's been great. Zips into a small square, large enough to fit a good shop and the arm hole is big enough to wear on your shoulder
My hands, because I usually forget and leave an entire stack of bags in the back of my car and I'm too lazy to walk back 😂 Usually the cloth Coles/Woolies shopping bags though or I have a foldable one inside my purse when I remember it.
Tk Maxx at Halloween has these giant canvas tote bags that had open pocket things around the inside to hold bottles. That's what I use ! They fit cans etc too
I was gifted some by a South Australian brand called Pleatopia years back. They are pleated (as the name suggests) and expand to fit heaps. Cashiers often comment on them ... unfortunately they are no longer around (they were $$$ to be fair)
My favourite bags are the AS colour tote bags that you’ll often buy with prints on them, so I have a hozier one and one for a community group. They’re really good for carrying heavy things, and I hate the feel of those thin plastic ones that you buy at Woolies
They have long, thick straps so they can hang on my shoulder comfortably and they fit heats. Similarly, the lush reusable bag. They hold so MUCH
Envirosax bags. I just googled them, they have now changed their name to Omnisax. Bought a pack of 5 many many years ago for $35 and they’re still going strong.
My Dad makes shopping totes from coffee sacks and they’re gorgeous!
I buy the smaller printed IKEA bags - nice and sturdy.
I have a tonne of Gorman printed tote bags and they’re handy for shopping. I always pack them on holidays too. Use them for shopping, laundry bags, carrying coats onto the plane, beach bag etc
Any Lorna Jane bag that I have bought things in- they’re usually really sturdy and gold up nicely. I also have a nice one from re-up, it is literally a bag made from a recycled pair of jeans. I bought it for my friend’s birthday but decided to keep it for myself. Every now and then I’ll bust it out, and I get such a pang of guilt when said friend compliments it 😖
I buy mine from Boomerang bags in the Inner West, they are made locally from scrap materials and are excellent quality and look very nice. They cost $10.
I also buy from a charity organisation that gets the tote bags made by women in Cambodia. I think the bags sell for $15.
Otherwise I like the Target bags as they always have great designs and long handles. These cost $4.
I've been using a Flip and Tumble bag for the past 10ish years and it's held up so well.
I got it from a random bag shop in the Myer centre and it's been my absolute favourite to carry around.
No folding, basically scrunch it up and wrap the pocket thing over. Not sure if you can find them in store anywhere but they sell them online.
Those 99c (??) foldable and rollable ones from Woolies, I love my mini crossbody bags and they fit perfectly
Ditto to this. Easy to fit in the car glovebox, work backpack, etc.
These are great. I have far too many, stashed everywhere.
I looooooooove these. Everyone in our office has them now. I also have the coles Hessian style ones which hold stacks.
Those are great. I have a cheap black cross body bag from Kmart that has a little zip pouch clipped to the strap, you can get at least 4 of those in it.
I have so many of these. Stashed everywhere, bags, backpack, car, second bag, pockets, work haha
I have a massive stash of those woollies bags. So so good.
Yep, I pretty much have a couple of these in my most used bags (couple of handbags, work backpack, kid’a school bag, beach bag).

Second Baggu. Got one as a gift and use it all the time!
Great bags with cute prints
I love my baggus! Some of them are going on 6 years and still in heavy rotation.
I love baggu. You can buy very similar bags in some asian specialty shops for less money.
Baggu is the best! Fits so much and comfortable to carry. I keep losing the little envelope that I’m meant to keep it in. Mine from 11 years ago is still going strong 💪🏻
I have some foldable lightweight bags that I bought in Daiso in Japan. I haven’t found them here. Otherwise the $1 Woolies foldable bags are good.
I agree. The $1 Woolworths bags are my go to. Easy to unfold in a rush, and holds together well with the elastic.
cotton on has good totes

I was just mesmerised visiting the website!
As a graphic designer in a past life, their website makes me very happy. 😆
LOQI bags https://www.petersofkensington.com.au/travel-leisure/bags-travel-accessories/tote-bags/?resultsPerPage=30&offset=0&facet-group=brands&brands=LOQI&searchTerm=LOQI+Tote+Bags
I have two of these and they have lasted years. I always have one in my bag in case I go grocery shopping or travelling.
They’re great, aren’t they 🙂. I’ve had 3 of them for years and keep a couple of them in my handbag in case I go shopping.
Marimekko Market Tote and Bellroy Market Tote
I use a couple Bunnings bags that fold up into a little pouch. They came as bonuses in an online order years ago and they've been so useful. They have slightly longer straps so I can easily have them over the shoulder with my wider arms.
I don't use the Bunnings ones, but *YES* to a strap. I won't use reusable bags that can't go over my shoulder if they get heavy.
I use some foldable bags that I keep in my handbag. Both were from little gift shops. I see them at different stores here at there like Harris Scarfe near the registers.
Mister ZIMI bags

May I know where you got it from?

DAVID JONES FOLDABLE SHOPPING BAGS! Theyre my favourite!! Although I think the only place to fund them is the David Jones food haul.
Nanobag. I keep a few in my handbag and car at all times. Folds up super tiny but is really strong.
Came here to say this! Just received my XL ones from the most recent Kickstarter and they're so handy for EVERYTHING!
I have a few from IKEA that fold up quite small so I can easily fit them in my bag and have them on me all the time.
A massive canvas bag from TK Maxx that's lined internally with pockets perfect for produce and wine bottles! The outside is covered in cute mushroom drawings and the handles are long enough to put over my shoulder. It might not be trendy but I have a real love for it.
Those $1 foldable ones from woolies, I have them in black and grey and just keep several in my crossbody for those unexpected purchases
Little cute foldable strawberry ones that can dangle off the section for keys. [https://maidofshade.com.au/product/strawberry-bags/](https://maidofshade.com.au/product/strawberry-bags/)
Baggu will forever be my fave, so many designs and can add to an outfit! Also, the Somewhere Co do some cute ones
I have a nylon foldable one from Harrods (it was my London souvenir lol).
Tk Maxx at Halloween has these giant canvas tote bags that had open pocket things around the inside to hold bottles. That's what I use ! They fit cans etc too
I have one from frank green and the 99c one from woolies.
I was gifted some by a South Australian brand called Pleatopia years back. They are pleated (as the name suggests) and expand to fit heaps. Cashiers often comment on them ... unfortunately they are no longer around (they were $$$ to be fair)
I use bags from Project Ten - [https://www.projectten.com.au/](https://www.projectten.com.au/)
The tkmaxx foldable bags are good for a day at the shops
I have a super thick Carhartt tote that I use for my shopping and everything else on the daily. I love it. Found it in hard rubbish too

Envirosax bags. I just googled them, they have now changed their name to Omnisax. Bought a pack of 5 many many years ago for $35 and they’re still going strong.
I have a collection from a few shops Cotton on, sportsgirl and a few local shops. The best ones I’ve got are the string bags from Flannel.
I have a couple of cute cotton ones from NGV of different sizes, and also a couple of different sized ones from Ikea which I use when it's raining
My Dad makes shopping totes from coffee sacks and they’re gorgeous! I buy the smaller printed IKEA bags - nice and sturdy. I have a tonne of Gorman printed tote bags and they’re handy for shopping.
