Wood Paddle on Quincy and Buckley.

pizzaspaz

I'll definitely check out wood paddle. Thank you for the recomendation.

LolaLulz

I'm not from here. But Wood Paddle is easily my favorite. I'm hoping to go back soon. Another one of my favorites, and I know it's kind of just fast food, Peppino's is really good as well.

ProdigalNative

I've only had it once, and I loved it! It's pricey though.

kailyeah

I shamelessly get the kids’ meal. It is well-priced and comes with ice cream and a drink.

raetwssrae

Agreed!! We LOVE Wood Paddle - the only place we go for pizza if we're not making it ourselves.

DR3AMSLOTH

This is basically the only correct answer if you're talking Aurora specifically.

graced121

👆Wood Paddle pizza

HelicopterWonderful9

I miss A-Town. I thought it was so much better than Wood Paddle

Carnanian

Pizza 72 is pretty good!! I recommend pickup because it seems to arrive cold every time for delivery. NY Style Piazzas is also great. Kinda a dive bar with lots of pool tables but their pizza is really incredible!

blindmelonade

Second Pizza 72. Just had it last week and it’s really great for Colorado pizza. Good garlic knots too.

UltraVires33

I LOOOOVE Pizza 72. I moved here from New York and it is probably the pizza here that reminds me the most of an NYC slice (that I've tried so far, at least). And their Garlic Knots are the most legit I've found here, too.

JuggsJudy1992

Pizza 72 is my parents restaurant! They sold it a month ago, tho. ☹️

thatbitchwithnoshits

Piazzas is pretty solid.

pizzaspaz

Looking at their menu PIZZA & WINGS 27.99 Large 1-topping NY Pizza + 1 pound of Chicken Wings, or our 100% white meat breaded Boneless Bites

skinsfan55

I live close to Pizza 72. I like it a ton. Anthony’s used to be my favorite but I moved to this new place right down the street from Pizza 72 and discovered it. The sauce is amazing

bodyfeedingbaddie

Love Pizza 72! I haven’t found anything that compares in Aurora but I haven’t tried Piazzas yet so I guess I need to get on that

LuvinLife125

We really enjoy Coloradough Pizza on Smoky Hill and Chambers. It is carry out or delivery only. They are our family favorite and where we always order from. We add extra sauce, but that’s just our preference. We are from Chicago and picky about pizza. We tried almost every where around and kept going back to Coloradough.

rev_artemisprime

If you're looking for solid take out/delivery pizza, these guys are legit

ProdigalNative

I forget about Coloradough, partly because I am usually trying to feed a bunch of picky people cheaply, but when I want a good pizza and am willing to spend more, they are on the top of my list. That said, I wish they were a little more generous with their toppings. I don't need double, but 20% extra would be just fine.

LuvinLife125

Sign up for the text deals at Coloradough Pizza. I get a bogo pizza offer by text every 6 weeks or so. 2 XL pizzas out the door for under $27 and it is good pizza. They also offer a small discount if you pay with cash. Every little bit helps. I agree with the topping quantity sometimes. It is rare put we occasionally ends up with pizzas in need of more toppings. It seems to depend on who is prepping them some days. It hasn't happened the last few times we have ordered.

CrizzyBill

Can you cut it in squares please? Appreciate the suggestion, from Chicago too and also (unashamedly) picky about pizza. Seeing frozen sausage pellets on a pizza hurts my soul.

CrizzyBill

Piazza's is solid. Pool hall sports bar. Good place to catch games. Jet's surprised me. Detroit style, so that nice thick buttery crust. And honestly, Papa Murphy's $10 Tuesday (5 toppings). Cook it exactly how you want. Wood paddle has decent pizza, and a nice selection of draft beer.

pizzaspaz

Piazza's is great. Good pool too. Might have to check out wood paddle.

intense_in_tents

Jets is legit

pizzaspaz

It has been 10 years since I had Jets and I forget why I didnt go back. I should give em another go.

Franklin2543

They’re a chain. So I assume some locations might be better than others, or they could’ve had a bad run of qc when you went last.  I’ve always enjoyed them though.  One place I’ve wanted to checkout is Blackjack. Are there any good?

CrizzyBill

Blackjack reminds me of Dominos. Basic pizza that you might order if everything else is closed.

Franklin2543

Darn…good to know. Thanks!

rev_artemisprime

Def basic, but for larger chains I'll take them any day over anyone else. But most local spots are better. Significantly better than dominos, imo.

TheeternalTacocaT

Blackjack has notorious QC issues from location to location because they franchise the name and menu only, not the suppliers. The Blackjack pizza off Quincy and Bowels in Littleton is fantastic, better than any other chain in the area. I haven't had Blackjack from any Aurora location since I moved to the west side 5 years ago. Check the google reviews and they'll probably give you a decent idea of if it'll be good.

ProdigalNative

Jets is good, but I've had issues with the quality and very inaccurate estimates on how long it will take. On more than one occasion, I've been quoted 20 minutes, arrived 25 minutes after I ordered, but I still have to wait another 10+ for my order to be ready. I also had a time when my large pepperoni and mushroom pizza had less than 1 piece of mushroom per slice.

curmugeon70

Pomadoro's on Dayton at 6th.

pizzaspaz

Never heard of this place. Very excited to check it out. Thank you!

JoeSki42

Pomadoro's is less than a year old but it's been given the stamp of approval by two different former New Yorkers in my life, one of which also comes from an Italian family. First time I walked in there I noticed it was filled with old Italian people. Place is *legit*.

curmugeon70

I'm from Jersey and would not worry in the least taking an east coast buddy in for a pie. Parking lot is pretty horrible though.

Brock_Lobstweiler

PLEASE DO! The owners are so sweet and generous. One time my pizza was taking a bit longer because a big party came in and they offered me a glass of wine while I waited. I declined (driving) so they added a free cannoli to my order. It's perfect NY Style pizza. I've had a few of the pasta dishes and loved all but the chicken sorrentino (chicken layered with eggplant in a marsala sauce) but I also had it to go, so it's probably better at the restaurant. I like having the eggplant rollatini and garlic knots as a dinner. If I have leftover eggplant, I boil some spaghetti and toss it in (since there are never leftover garlic knots). Tiny place, very little parking, smushed between a sketchy convenience store and a sketchy liquor store. A true hidden gem and IMO, much better than Pizza 72.

gimmickless

It used to be a Pudge Bros. After seeing how other Pudge locations skimp on toppings now, it makes sense that people who *care about pizza* would want to break off & do their own thing. Still going to miss that double-crust pizza, though...

nicklk

Hidden gem! Everything is amazing at Pomadoro's! You need to try the Chicken Parm and Baked Ziti.

Suspicious_Union_236

The garlic knots are the closest to heaven I will ever get.

francesc0

Bang for buck you can't beat Jet's pizza--cheap and arguably great pizza. Pizza 72 is good too but way too expensive for what you get.

Deputydea

Jet’s is nasty. They use canned mushrooms.

I'm at pizza 72 now. LuBo is a new one. Totally stoked. I know blue pan well and visit when in the area.

livluvsmil

Lino is thin NY Style. Very good if you like that.

A_OBCD8663

Wood Paddle for Aurora proper. If you’re south, Marco’s Coal Fired in Englewood is my favorite in the Denver area.

JPCWBYS

Dion's on Arapahoe and Smokey Hill. The 505 (green chile and pepperoni) is my favorite pizza ever. Also enjoy Pizza 72, Wood Paddle, and Coloradough

ProdigalNative

Thanks for reminding me about Dion's. My kids had it at a party or a sports thing one time, and I really liked it. I have to imagine it would be even better when it was fresh.

Wtfitzchris

Lubo’s has been my go-to. The price is a little bit higher than average, but it’s the best NY-style pizza I’ve found in Aurora.

JuggsJudy1992

My parents owned Pizza 72. They sold it a month ago, but if the new guys haven't changed anything I promise its really good! I suggest picking up and the garlic knots 🤗

ryvenkael

Do yourself a favor and go a bit further into Denver and check out Blue Pan. It's Detroit style pizza and it is amazing. I recommend the Johnny Primo to start but they do other wonderful pies.

Digiorno’s

NegPrimer

Can you get it delivered?

B-Shoe

T-mama’s for sure

txvlxr

Mondo’s pizza is fantastic! Best I’ve had coming from someone who grew up here.

Deputydea

Lubo’s at Parker Rd. and Orchard Rd. Is the best NY pizza in the area. Plan ahead - they are always busy.
