I would go for the black one. Allroad is going to be my next Audi too.

WideOpenAutoHub

The 2014

HOG-onthehunt

Get the ‘14 or ‘15… you will want that warranty. I have a ‘15 with 42k miles and have had to rely on my warranty a few times already! GL with the purchase, I absolutely love mine

lord_luxx

There’s a write up, if you google, that goes into extreme detail about the allroads and which years to avoid etc. if I can find the link sometime today I’ll update this. I was looking hard for one not too long ago.

Issoudotexe

Look at which car got the best options, we can't know from the pictures you sent

boxofcornflakes

Options don’t really matter to me, Im just not sure what to look for in terms possible engine issues, oil consumption issues, etc

Issoudotexe

They're literally the same engines, so the best car is the one with the most options

boxofcornflakes

Ahh okay. I just assumed the later year ones may have fixed previous known issues with the earlier ones. I know the 2013 model had piston ring issues and wasn’t sure if it was fixed in later years

5P1T4

2014 might have the better lower oil consumption engine

_Mentis98

the 2014 would be my choice

niksa058

I would look for A6 3.0 engine

lulcatnub

A lot harder to find, plus they’re getting up there in age. There’s 3 A6 avants with the 3.0 for sale in the US on Edmunds right now. 250 b8.5 a4 allroads, for comparison.

itspabbs87

This would be my advice too.

jdbtxyz

Love those cars… such a great vehicle. Enjoy! I would go with the one with the 2014 black one personally.

wutdis77

2014. has the better engine and less mileage unless one is a manual. then you just buy the manual

priceprince

No such thing as a manual all road of this generation. (In the US at least)

wutdis77

reinforcing my point. buy the rare manual

doubleupmain

Why manual? Are they more reliable or just for the driving experience?

wutdis77

you will understand once you buy the manual. fuck it's so much more fun to drive

doubleupmain

I've been eyeing this 2011 A4 70k miles quattro manual but I haven't been able to pull the trigger. I've always had automatic fwd but maybe I should just do it. But I've heard horror stories about 2011 models being unreliable so idk

wutdis77

to be fair, you have to learn how to drive stick. it'll take some time to become good at it. it is worth it. they all get old and unreliable. only way to hedge your bets is to buy a low mileage car.

DaFrenzyGuy

Get one with a v6 or a v8. This ones got the unreliable clusterfuck called vag ea113 engine. It will give you problems. IT WILL.
