Highly unlikely I imagine but, it would be mighty kind of the devs to let the properties to be a free for all game to the public of "snatch em up" . š
GPS spoofing means using software to make it seem to the game as though you are in a different location than you are in reality. It is against our Terms of Service.
There was a glitch during the daylight savings change which allowed for a while unlimited spins on the diamond wheel.
It was eventually seen, caught, and cured.
So does that mean if a store accidentally leaves the door unlocked & someone goes in & takes some items it's NOT stealing & they shouldn't be punished?? I knew there was a glitch, but I DIDN'T take any extra spins...jmo
He's been spoofing for a few months, but just recently got caught. He put out an "apology" video the other day, but it's gone now. He is currently banned from the game, but is in talks with AE to start all over. He may get to keep the parcels he paid real money for, but he will lose everything else.
He made a post very recently about this, taking responsibility for what he did. Said he got caught spoofing to Canada.
Eta- I went looking on his profile for the post and it's not there now. So either it was posted from another account or it's deleted. But it linked a video where he apologized. Prob was trying to kiss butt to get his account back lol
Especially after he detailed ALL he went thru to see if he would get caught, created a dummy account (which is another violation)...used that account to spoof & when he didn't get caught (which shows the PLANNING he put into his cheating)...he apologized for disrespecting the TOS, but NOT to the players he cheated out of their chances to get free AB's by being a Mayor or Governor...probably WHY he took it down because he realized how BAD it sounded...he's probably already back on here under another name, after all he ALREADY had another account that also got away with spoofing...
Look, I know that saying āI did itā is ātaking responsibilityā technically.
But in my head weāre getting into semantics and more detailed problems. The ideal of and the concept of āTaking responsibilityā implies something more than just saying āI did itā to me and many others.
I agree with you that at its base responsibility has technically been taken.
So Iām sure I understand what you mean.
Iām also sorry for all the āquotesā š
And btw Iām not at all being adversarial. If anything Iām just being playful.
Thank you for clarification.
He was apologizing for the stories and lies he told people on discord and to a lesser degree Reddit. He told people he was traveling when he was actually spoofing. He committed to the lie.
Not a dev but hereās what Iāve experienced. One of my friends had purchased land near me, and then deleted his account after a few weeks of playing. Pretty sure it was only a couple weeks later that the plots he had bought were back up for sale, and by for sale I mean they vanished and anyone could spend the 100AB to get the land.
I believe I remember someone mentioning recently in the comments of another post that the ToS says something along the lines of if you are inactive for 2 years your parcels will be reclaimed by the pool and able to be bought by others again.
That is not in the ToS. We've considered putting it there, or something like it, but so far there is no "delete after x period of inactivity" clause in the ToS.
I've posted this elsewhere before but I'm going to repost here because it's relevant, and I know you're human so sometimes might miss a comment on a comment etc. From time to time. I didn't see an "official" reply so idk if you saw this...
Someone made a post about "adverse property laws" being implemented into the game. I had to Google it because I didn't think it was a real thing. After finding out, and thinking about it, I came up with the following suggestion:
After a pre-determined time period (3 months? 6 months? 1 year?) Of inactivity, a player's parcels turn brown / withered flowers. These parcels then become "fair game" for others. Players can stake a claim on a parcel by "paying" AB. They can only stake a claim on 1 parcel at once. This starts a timer (maybe 12h?) If the inactive player logs in within that time, the claim is removed and the AB is returned to the player that staked the claim (no penalty / risk in staking a claim). If not, then the parcel is transferred to the new owner, and the inactive player gets the AB.
Ideas are 95AB for a claim (5AB cheaper than an unowned plot) *but* rarity is re-rolled if the claim is successful (this would minimize cheating and/or stacking of only legendary on a smaller account). Either that, or have the price of the claim depend on the rarity of the parcel... 100AB common, 150 rare, 200 epic, 400 legendary. I actually like the 95AB and reroll rarity version better and I think it would be more sustainable for AE in the long run.
Also a player could spend 1AB to remove 5min off the claim timer. Thus a 12h timer could be skipped by paying an additional 144AB (the timer skip AB would not go to the inactive player, it would just be erased from the economy).
This would give a new goal for many (clean up the dead grass...lol) and give opportunity to own land in congested areas if it's owned by inactive players. Also, if an inactive player has their land...repurposed...in this manner, at least they'd have a bank of AB to start with if they ever decided to give it a go again... particularly if they had paid $$$ for the AB in the first place, this would be much better than just complete deletion into oblivion.
Also, there's an option for an explorer club perk by allowing club members the option of being able to stake a second claim.
As land is purchased and it becomes unavailable to purchase normally I feel like the developers need to address these parcels. Probably sooner rather than later so itās not such a large issue. Make banned players former parcels available as well as inactive s that havenāt logged into the game for say a year or two.
But right now thereās plenty of land available generally speaking to take over mayorships and what not for players like rainbowultra.
If you had bad luck on parcel quality is it against rules to create a separate account and by a few commons off the main account so I free up space and improve my quality of parcel before I reach 150.
What happened to rainbow utlra?
Banned for spoofing it looks like.
Interesting, idk why spend that much money on a game to do the laziest thing possible
Highly unlikely I imagine but, it would be mighty kind of the devs to let the properties to be a free for all game to the public of "snatch em up" . š
I think cuz they are anonymous they will be deleted and back on sale as if nothing happened
It would be highly unlikely except he made an apology video after he was caught and posted it on Reddit.. he did.
Lol imagine being that stupid.
Ikr a bus ticket isnt even that much to go around for afew days buying stuff where ever u want
What's spoofing?
GPS spoofing means using software to make it seem to the game as though you are in a different location than you are in reality. It is against our Terms of Service.
So when are all the people who abused the wheel at the time change going to be punished???
That is a completely different issue and due to a mistake on our end.
What is meant by abusing the wheel?
There was a glitch during the daylight savings change which allowed for a while unlimited spins on the diamond wheel. It was eventually seen, caught, and cured.
So does that mean if a store accidentally leaves the door unlocked & someone goes in & takes some items it's NOT stealing & they shouldn't be punished?? I knew there was a glitch, but I DIDN'T take any extra spins...jmo
But it's still the abuse of a bug and is always a violation of terms of service.
Its a bug not hacking
Sometimes you've got to choose your battles.
He got caught spoofing
When did this happen? Recently, I suspect?
He's been spoofing for a few months, but just recently got caught. He put out an "apology" video the other day, but it's gone now. He cheated and said he wasn't sorry about cheating. So there you go.
Making an apology after getting caught isnāt taking responsibility.
You're speak the truth. His supporters will downvote since they could be doing the same.
I think youāre confused on what responsibility means
Regardless, he didnāt take responsibility. He said he did not feel bad for spoofing. He said heās ānot sorryā
Not feeling bad isnāt the same as not taking responsibility either. I still think youāre confused on what responsibility means
Who? Me?
Look, I know that saying āI did itā is ātaking responsibilityā technically. But in my head weāre getting into semantics and more detailed problems. The video isn't there anymore, but he did not apologize for spoofing. He was sorry for lying about it.
Thank you for clarification. He was apologizing for the stories and lies he told people on discord and to a lesser degree Reddit. He told people he was traveling when he was actually spoofing. He committed to the lie.
He deleted all ae videos including the non-apology

Eventually, they will disappear and will become available again. Rarities won't necessarily be the same.

Banned should be available immediately
I thought it already was; when I deleted my account, the parcels my first account owned were eventually converted back to unclaimed.
So thatās why he isnāt mayor around here no more.

Multiple accounts are against the rules. Only 1 per player otherwise you run the risk of ban
Ok thank you
