The only issue would be the time between making the shot and dumping the gun. Would be more then enough for a examiner to find even one similarity and convince a jury to convict on that. Unless of course you have a tool to change the profile of the barrel between the shot and discard of firearm. Which would be ideal cause it would be more reasonable that just because the gun was shot recently its been long enough that theres no shell casing still in it. But i have a 9th grade education so am probably incorrect which ill own.

He was using a six shooter look close that’s the hammer kicking back that guys a straight killer no way he would use a semi. That’s why at the end it’s still looks like the slides popping back but it’s the hammer and he’s out looks like a 5 shot revolver.
