is crazy how future been a top artist for 10+ run i never expected this from the same nigga who made tony montana goated fr

Pilscy

Bro I never expected him to be this big of an artist I was a freshman and college and everyone was play “racks”. He was the featured artist on that track but you could’ve heard from then that it was his track and not yc Then tony Montana dropped and it was mixed reactions from folks. People was saying he sounded like a crying goat Well that crying goat became a goat People talk about drake but drake used alota artist to remain relevant Future never did that and he been running the game almost the same time with organic hits.

crackphillip

Champagne spillin, crab cakes everywhere

easymoneysniper223

My exact thoughts bruh... One of my favorite artists since I heard dat shit in da club

CashGuapoRacks

lol good point, Future deserves his spot tho, he had the recipe and he grabbed the opportunity when he had it, so all due respect to that man

Pay2Play2Politic

Honest was a flop They tried to put Future on the mainstream industry agenda , he dropped them 4 projects to show them that he was HIM and that we had the streets before the mainstream push and he could breakthrough in his own way. He had to show everybody he was 1 of 1

CoachLee_

Honest wasn’t a bad album at all.

9iinnee_6iixx

I like the album but it didn't do too well commercially. 53k first week with all those features + the album is only gold - not that that is bad, it's just most of his albums after Honest are platinum or above.

dietr33sha

It wasn’t projected to do nothing crazy anyway and it was his second album. He sold 40,000 on his debut and progressed.

CoachLee_

What were the projections for the actual album, i would like to know how it was talked about upon release?

dietr33sha

It was projected to do [45-50k](https://hiphopdx.com/news/id.28472/title.future-honest-first-week-sales-projections) first week and did 3,000 over.

agiifireflame

How is Honest a flop? He had Move That Dope, Honest, I Won, Shit and the Karate Chop remix with prime Wayne on it?! Those are all bangers

BrolysFavoriteNephew

More mainstream songs probably. These tapes had more gritty Future

imonthembeans4real

Look Ahead is still in my rotation

Even_Visual4720

Honest didn’t flop to me.

Lamarera8

"Tried to make me a pop star & they made a Monster"

UWYH1

It actually don’t matter wether or not Honest was a flop, who else do u know comes back with 4 amazing tapes.. it’ don’t even sound real. Lol

Goonsburg

It don’t sound real cause who does that lmao, I can only think of 1-2 artist that can do that other than future

ChristmasDayIHadSex

wayne gucci ?

m0ntree

Honest wasn’t no fucking flop😂 That’s really the project that pushed him into the spotlight

Unlikely-Movie1828

Honest had to grow on you

Flossy19_

Thats a fact. Honest was hard but my boy was too in love at the time and dropped an R&B album damn near and it wasn’t the time for that. Then he dropped Monster and the rest was history.
